1. I typed in Maryville/Alcoa and almost every one listed showed not yet contacted.. There were a couple places listed that aren't even in business anymore. I'd say the website has been a flop and not maintained and kept up to date. I wouldn't give much credit to its listings.
2. Coming up on 5 months for me.  :usa:
3. My wife carries an XD9 Service model.. She has one of those fancy purses that has a special zippered pocket holster that has a lock and key for it. While carrying she leaves it unlocked to gain fast access. Other times when in a more safe environment and the kids are around it gets locked or taken out and put on the shelf for easy access for her but not the kids.. My Kids know better than to go digging into her purse now (son 6 daughter 14). If you educate your children on proper gun safety then you won't have to worry as much. I allow my 6 year old son to help when I clean our guns and let him handle them and teach him the proper and safe techniques. We have even tested him by leaving an unloaded gun out in the open and he passed the test. Now, with saying that you still have to exercise extreme caution with children around.
4.
I was told by the inspector that you do not have to keep records of the targets just the firing score however that changing in April first will have to start keeping the B 29 as part of our file
When I took the class in September they made us write down on the target how many out of 48 shots were on the black and we had to sign it. they folded it up and paper clipped it to their copy of the certificate.
5.
Yes the Dos is going to b29 targets and eliminating shooting from the 15 yard line. However we have until april to do so or may start doing it immediately. .............bad news is for those who do well on the range, you will no longer be allowed to keep. Your target as we will now be req I Pired to keep it for our records.
I took the class in September and they kept the targets from my class.. They did allow you to snap a cell phone pic afterward if you wanted.

This is the one that was in Knoxville in 2008 that Garufa mentioned. 7. I picked up one at the Maryville Wal-Mart about a month ago.
8. I'm another one that shuttles folks from point A to point B.
9. Two of our favorite Mexican places in Maryville is El Jimador on highway 321 and now our #1 choice is El Mezon in the area by Target. http://www.elmezonmaryville.com/ Also a nice little family style meat and 3 called Gracy's is awesome.. great breakfast as well. It's on Lincoln Rd.
10. Welcome! From Maryville also!
11. I took the class in Sept. the Instructor said to pass, 33 out of 48 had to be in the black. This is the targets we used. Don't sweat it, it was a lot of fun, Good Luck!!
12. I applied and fingerprinted on Sept 17 and received mine Oct 10. 17 business days.
13. Thanks guys. I'll look into a gunsmith. Any suggestions in the maryville area?
14. OS, thanks for the reply. It is not a pump action. It has a lever on the right side just below the hammer that you push down and it clicks and the barrel will drop forward allowing the shell to eject out toward you. When you pull the trigger the barrel drops (breaks down) forward just a little and then when you pull it down further the shell will eject. I'll try to get a picture of it on here when I get back home..I'm on the road currently. Thanks again!
15. I applied Sept 17. The guy that took my pic said nothing about my glasses. All he said was "smile if you like, you should, cause your going to be packin'.. packin' heat my friend!)
