  1. As an addendum, the 2 die set has the sizer and seating dies, you add the charging die to get the exact setup, if you choose to sell the set you bought previously.
  2. I'm not exactly sure if I,m understanding what you are asking for, but will chime in anyway.  The pacesetter set you have should work in any of the Lee presses, you need a rifle charging die to complete the setup that you are requesting.  That's at https://fsreloading.com/lee-precision-rifle-charging-die-90194.html on the FS Reloading site, currently in stock.  The dies that Lee includes with the .223 Pro 1000 are part of the kit, AFAIK there is no set that has that exact combination of dies, but the set you already have has the full-length sizer and the seating die.  Swap the factory crimp die in the set with the rifle charging die and you should be good to go.
  3. Just out of curiosity, but does anyone here participate in any of these celebrity/awards voting/selection/nominating contests?  I know so little about popular culture that I'm not really sure how to pose the question correctly.
  4. You don't have to go all the way to east Tn. to get bad BBQ - anywhere north of I-40 will do ...
  5. 1000 years from now, archaeologists will be puzzled why so many skinny, petrified, potato sticks will be found among the detritus from this era.  Some will theorize they had some sort of religious significance, or were perhaps a type of fertility talisman.  There will of course be a certain amount of verisimilitude in those hypotheses.
  6.   I think the 2 pits you are referring to between Henderson and Scotts Hill on Highway 100 are the ones in Jacks Creek.  Long renowned as the absolute best BBQ in west Tennessee, although to be honest it's been several years since I've eaten at either.  When I lived in the area, I preferred the one nearer Henderson myself.
  7.   Sorry, but the prevailing winds would have carried most of the fallout east of the test sites ...
  8. There is some adjustment in the slipjoints in the straight pipes, one or both may need cutting to a shorter length to do it.  If "push comes to shove", you can also buy a different trap with more "dip" in the S-bend, that would allow the trap to attach at a lower height to the drainpipe.
  9. OP's post simply stated a fact, that PSA had some 22 available.  For a lot of people, that's good info. As many have posted, that's the going rate for .22 ammo that is in stock and available to purchase immediately, if you aren't able to stalk the counters at Wally World, or watch for internet deals 24/7.  For what it's worth, I don't think this is going to change much for at least the next year, as basically all ammo producers are at full capacity trying to fill orders that are already months old, and new demand remains extraordinarily high.  There are many reasons for this, and most don't involve resellers of Wally ammo.
  10. I will probably wander by there at some point this weekend, as It's fairly close for me.

  13. Einstein had essentially nothing to do with the development of the atomic bomb.  He did send a letter to FDR advocating the research and construction, at the behest of scientists who had earlier made him aware of the possibility and knowing his status would immediately lead credence to their advocacy.  When these scientists first informed Einstein that such a weapon was even possible, his first statement was " I never thought of that".  However, he was astute enough to realize that if the Germans were able to build a bomb, it would mean destruction of the Allied forces, thus his agreement to notify FDR despite his longtime belief in pacifism.
  14.   One good thing about the war on guns, I'm betting it will be about as successful as the "war on drugs" has been...
  15. Best wishes Tanker, take care of yourself.  You're right, getting older sucks, but it damn sure beats the alternative!
  16. Guns, like cars and many other things, go through a period of depreciation, then appreciation as the vagaries of time make then rarer or more desirable.  Even in the relatively short span of time you mentioned, some firearms have achieved collectible status, as many of these items have disappeared over the years, the law of supply and demand has increased prices.  You are the ultimate arbiter of the amount you are willing to spend to get the gun you want, and guns that can be traded or sold easily tend to bring higher premiums over the less desirable ones.
  17.  I know how you feel.  Both lungs in 2009, right lung again in 2011.  Take care of yourself, I learned the hard way how insidious this disease really is.
  18. Oh, and since we are comparing worn out trucks, my 97 Dodge has 322k, and counting ...
  19.    Well, they were right.  They make them a lot better now.  There are cars on the road today that make 300 hp, get 30 mpg, and will last over half a million miles if serviced right.
  20.   So kids currently in public schools have a less than significant chance of achieving those goals?  By significant, I would guess that you mean in excess of a 50% probability then.  If so, wouldn't a necessary corollary to your argument be that more than half of recent graduates, say over the last 20 years or so, are not "functioning, moral, literate adults"?  Is that what you are saying?  I don't mean to be so obtuse, but after all I am a public school product. :)
  21.   Doesn't matter.  It's evolution in action ...
  22.   Yeah, but back then we had to send real people to see if they had beer there.  Now, we send the little rovers that can run around looking for years ...
  23.   I bet if schools ever start giving abortions to kids, they will require a note for that too...
  24. But isn't that the normal course for these (and other) threads?
  25. I was halfway through the rant before I figured it out.
