  1.   He will remain an idiot, regardless of where he lives ...
  2.   Ruger has at least one distinction from most other gun-related companies (and most businesses in general), as a policy they operate strictly on a cash and carry model, i.e. the company never incurs debt of any kind and traditionally carries a rather large cash reserve.  This somewhat insulates their company against the cyclical nature of gun sales, the past 5 years have simply added to those reserves.  Gun stocks became poplar during the past few years due to increased sales, the industry as a whole is in a slump now, thus the lower quotes.  Stock prices rarely reflect the true value of a company, but rather reflect investors' opinions of future values.
  3.   An easy cure for your jealousy, go hang out in Mississippi for a few weeks, you won't care if they have a free guns weekend after that ...
  4. Just before the great panic, several companies were selling these (the 20 round Thermolds) "unassembled" for $4.10 each, or assembled for $5.10.  That was probably the lowest price I've seen for new AR mags, looks like they are nearly back to that level now, so I doubt if you're going to see much better than what you posted.
  5. It depends on the laws in Georgia.  In some states, like Florida, you pay taxes at the Florida rate whenever a vehicle is picked up in-state, then Tennessee credits you with the amount paid in Florida towards the tax due here.  Other states waive state taxes on vehicles purchased by out of state buyers, you pay the full amount when you register the vehicle here. I don't remember what the specifics are in Georgia, but no, you shouldn't wind up being taxed twice.
  6.   Try that now, and you will quickly learn all about the RICO laws ...
  7.   This^.  Since there are no liens, any reputable local lawyer who handles real estate transactions can handle the details, usually for a nominal fee.  The most important item for the buyer is the title search, to make sure there are no hidden surprises accompanying the property.  For the seller, a good cashier's check is what you are after ...
  8. My idea of roughing it:
  9.   Water can be pumped from a well, no need to spend your beer money on it ...     Very true.     You haven't had much interaction with Ted before, have you?
  10. If minimalism means PBR and a diet of hotdogs, count me out ...
  11.   You will get MUCH more entertaining answers by posting this question on some of the Arfcom boards ...
  12.   Sounds like the website got trolled, and now several on TGO are following suit ...

  17. At least we're not being bombarded by Cale's Clunker ads ...
  18.   Perhaps, but remember back then that "because the sumbich deserved it" was an viable defense ...
  19.   What idiot loaned money to buy a car to an unemployed gamer living in grandma's basement who seeks life advice on an anonymous internet gun forum?  Troll thread for sure ...
  20.   This might be the single best reply ever posted on the internet.  Kudos, wordmeister ...
  21.   Better question, is the OP 15 years old ...     If this thread isn't a trolling attempt, both parties are too immature (at least emotionally, if not actually) to support themselves, or anyone else ...
  22. As the others have said, almost all private pilots enjoy introducing others to general aviation.  Visit a couple of local airports and introduce yourself and your son to the flight instructors.  Ask them what the options are locally. I'm not current on prices now, but a few years back most instructors around this area were offering the "discovery flights" for $49.  It's a great way to get your first taste of small aircraft, since these flights allow prospective students to take the controls for a part of the flight.  My bet is that it won't be the last such flight you take either...
  23.   Yet ...
  24.   Buttkisser ... :)
