Sell it.  Vehicles that aren't driven regularly will deteriorate, and as they do either they become money pits or else get neglected further.  Unless you are really into collecting and restoring cars/trucks, and have the tools, facilities and know-how to do so, if you ever get the urge to own a restored version of this it's far easier and ultimately much less expensive to buy one that someone else has done the work to, maybe even someday this truck again.  Ask me how I know all of this ...

  It's pretty much sold out for now.  Most of the recent shipments were coming in from Ukraine, the recent activities there have made additional imports problematic at best.  There's been some fear-mongering as well, unfounded rumors that it's now banned from import, etc.  Until some of the uncertainty and regional conflicts settle down in the areas that still have large deposits of surplus ammo, don't look for the supply to ease any ...

What direction are you traveling in/to?  Probably your best bet for accommodations will be in Paris, Tn., approximately 20 minutes north, the selection there will be a lot better on both hotels and eating places, there's not much to recommend in McKenzie itself ...

Contact Classic Firearms and SOG, as far as I know they are the only ones with crates currently in stock.  Normally when they empty the crates they let them go on a "first come" basis, AIM in Ohio used to let folks pick them up for free if they called ahead but they have been out of stock for several weeks now, it still might be worth the call to see if by chance they have any empties left.

The ammonia probably does help with some of the copper fouling, but it's the water that dilutes and washes out the salts.  Hot water works well, but any water down a warm barrel will neutralize the salts, follow with an oiled patch and you're good to go.  Otherwise cleaning is done like any modern weapon, just be aware that a lot of the crown and rifling wear of milsurps was caused by over vigorous cleaning procedures as much as battle usage.  The typical 2 compartment cleaning bottle issued with wartime 91/30's originally contained water in one compartment, oil in the other.
