There's already a sizeable number coming available now, not necessarily due to estates, but a lot of older collectors are liquidating their collections now. Most likely, these are the folks who are looking to maximize the value of their guns, having seen first-hand how often that collections get dumped by surviving family members for a fraction of their current value, the family members having little interest and even less knowledge about how and where to sell off "grandpa's old guns" ... It's always possible some of these former US guns make it back, although I expect it will be in very limited quantities and over longer periods of time than what we've seen before. I've also read a few reports that a lot of these guns, especially those in the Philippines, are in really bad shape and might be considered more as "parts guns" than viable weapons now. As for whatever stocks are left in China and Russia, current geopolitical realities make their importation highly unlikely anytime in the foreseeable future, after all the ban on both Chinese and Russian imports have been in effect for well over 20 years now through administrations of both parties.

My guess is it's a formatting error after one of David's numerous changes made in the last 2 years ... Or, the OP speaks some kind of Old English or Germanic dialect, who knows ...

I'm certainly no expert in this. I have read a number of articles espousing both sides of the issue over the last 2 or 3 years, and I have yet to decide which is the most convincing. Like many things, there seems to be both good and bad consequences from both actions, I will be following the arguments closely in the coming months ... In any case, from past history, the internet seems to be a most resilient beast ...

The most likely answer to the original questions is "no", there are no more large amounts of milsurps which will be imported into the US. The Eastern Bloc stockpiles have been liquidated, as have all the Western European nations, these countries updated and modernized their countries armaments decades ago, replacing the semiautomatic and bolt action guns with FA's, which will never be made available to civilian markets. The 2 nations (Russia and China) who amassed the largest quantities of WWII era guns are closed to us as to further importation and have been for many years now. Ukraine is probably the only of the former Soviet republics with any substantial inventory left and the recent sanctions proscribe even the Soviet era guns which were formerly coming in from Ukraine being imported in the future as they originated in the former USSR, not to mention the fact that they have been involved in a civil war which is never an ideal situation for exporting guns. There will be small quantities that are able to be brought in, we got small shipments from Albania and the former Yugoslavia as recently as last year, and Swiss rifles show up occasionally in small lots as private buyers put together small shipments of older rifles for sale on the secondary market in that country. In addition, we have competition for the few remaining guns from sources which were formerly of little consequence, one example is from collectors in Western Europe who actually pay more than we will for available examples of collectible pieces. Buyers on the open gun markets are also snapping up any available weapons to supply to the many insurgencies, terrorist operations and revolutionaries who are operating in many theaters, these buyers do not have the same laws, rules and regulations that we have to deal with and in that market "cash is king". On the other hand, the secondary market here has a lot of inventory becoming available as older collectors are starting to liquidate their collections, a lot of fairly rare pieces have come to market in the last few years which haven't been available in decades, of course not at the prices they sold for in the 50's - 90's ...

Timelines aren't being very clearly maintained this season, lots of flashbacks, etc., but it's certainly been a few days (in show timeline) since he was bitten - at least that's my interpretation ...

I think Red Machete is one of those sideline mini-episodic shows like they did with the folks on the airplane during the first season of FTWD. I gave up on that show early in it's second season, still hanging on watching TWD though. It's one of those shows that after so many years of watching, you tend to just hang on regardless if it's not so enjoyable anymore. FWIW, while I don't think this season has been the best, I also don't think it's the worst either ...

And as others have said, virtually all of the major gun manufacturers in the US are leveraged to the hilt, some due to expansion and modernization, some due to what amounts to rape of their investors and creditors by the hedge funds and holding companies that own them ( i.e. Colt, et al). As such, they are in no position to survive even a minor downturn in sales, as most if not all of their cash flow is directed at staving off bankruptcy due to their excessive debt load. Except for Ruger, which is now, as always, debt free with sufficient cash to ride out the current slump, we will probably see another round of bankruptcies and consolidations before any of these companies start turning any profits again ...

Find wherever Win10 hides the old Control Panel, look for display. Either the aspect ratio has somehow reset, or the video resolution has been changed. I'm still holding on to Win7, so I'm not up on how Win10 controls this, but there should be something in whatever they are calling Control Panel now ...

The first rifle listed is an original, matching 1896 Cossack rifle. Similar to the early Dragoons, but specifically marked for the Cossack cavalry battalions, and far more rare, especially in matching condition. It's essentially a museum piece, perhaps unique, thus the interest (and price). It doesn't hurt that it came from the estate of one of the true greats in the milsurp collection world, and was auctioned by a company of similar notoriety ...

It's probably worth a try, but I doubt most of them are getting much lead in. Wheel weights either have, or are moving away from lead, and a lot of the other sources of lead (old plumbing being removed, medical lead disposal, etc.) have pretty much run their course, or are being scooped up as it comes available by private buyers ...
