  1. I'm not a trucker, and don't pretend to know anything about that business, but happened on an unrelated article today stating that the entire trucking industry is currently suffering from a glut of capacity and a reduced number of available loads. According to this article, this industry is noted as having a long history of "boom and bust" cycles, with the huge uptick in shipping during the Covid fiasco and the subsequent slowdown since only exacerbating this tendency. Assuming that analysis is true, it's logical that the most poorly managed and financed companies would go belly up in such an environment. Yellow may be the first of several such large freight companies to go under ...

  3. Band-aides will take care of the chafing. Can't provide any suggestions on the wedgies, I suppose that depends on the shape (and size) of the ass in question ...
  4. I doubt your rep ever even saw any of the emails you sent. You probably got (mostly) canned replies from a staff member instead. At least, that seems to be typical of most of the congress critters in office, regardless of their persuasion ...
  5. Air conditioned truck, on max cool ...
  6. Got an email today from AIM Surplus. They have some different types/brands of 9mm listed for $11.95 - I do remember seeing a couple of types of Remington ammo listed, may be others. Didn't really pay much attention, as I'm not in the market for any right now ...
  7. And by next week it will appear again, this time with a different name and spouting some more feel good gibberish about helping kids, defending freedom, fighting for your rights, etc. You see these all over the net now. One outfit in Texas had 6 different "businesses" going at once a few years back, offering amazing deals on guns, ammo and the like. All 6 had an address which showed up on Google earth as a mailbox rental place ... All true. There's also this fact I learned long ago, if it seems too good to be true, it is ...

  9. A C&R does make purchasing milsurps convenient. Precisely because of that, it can easily wind up being the most expensive piece of paper you own ...
  10. https://goo.gl/maps/5ahnFgcf3LEbkzmM6 That's the street address listed for this business on their "Contact" page. A quick google search for this address yields this description of a business located there - "AccurateTreatment are Specialists in alternative medicine mental health treatment. Nutritional balancing, depression, anxiety, trauma, marital, substance abuse treatment". Use your best judgement ...
  11. I would turn this entirely over to the insurance company. They can go after the other guy to recoup their costs, that's partly what your premiums are for. As others have said, the likelihood of you recovering damages from a guy driving with no insurance is slim to none, particularly in a reasonable time frame. Another consideration, it's not unknown for hidden damage to be uncovered once disassembly begins, things that weren't necessarily included in the original estimate. If you're depending on the deadbeat driver you'll probably be left out to dry in this scenario (admittedly an unlikely one in a situation like this with only minor damage). You have insurance, and an agent, let them do what you pay them for. Assuming you haven't had many, or recent claims, the hit to your premium will likely be minimal, even though the insurance market is relatively "tight" now, meaning your rates are probably going up anyway ...
  12. Nor will you find any rational explanations then. There is no justification for shooting schoolchildren, and reading the incoherent ramblings of the perpetrator isn't going to shed any light on the situation ...
  13. Not sure about members, but they have some expensive legal bills to pay. Plus, there's the matter of Wayne's suits, cars, boats, homes, vacations, etc., not to mention the additional overhead from things like graft, corruption and embezzlement - it adds up pretty fast ...
  14. My first thought seeing the post title - Wayne must be gunning for a raise ...
  15. Chinese T53, Factory 26 carbine then. Thanks for the additional photos.
  16. Is this an M44, or T53? Details about the year, markings, etc.?
  17. That at least, we can agree on ...
  18. Completely irrelevant. Bobby Kennedy, the Sequel has as much chance of being president as I do ...
  19. "Underreporting of income" is not the same as failing to pay millions pf dollars in taxes - it means that he didn't report this amount in gross sales. The taxes owed would have been substantially less, depending on expenses, overhead, depreciation schedules, etc. I have no idea of the size of his business, but generating $1 million in gross sales doesn't take a particularly large enterprise, especially if the records encompassed several years of sales ...
