  1. You left off " a few dozen of the rest" ...
  2. Find a Ruger Security Six. They're indestructible, so virtually any year and any round count will do. The factory triggers will never be all that great, but some basic gunsmithing can improve them a lot, or so I'm told. Mine are all factory stock ...
  3. Interesting observations, and many good points made Chip. For those of you who don't know, Chip is a real, live, blood-sucking vam- errr. lawyer ...
  4. Without having watched any of the coverage, or being privy to his lawyer's strategy or thoughts, my inclination is that I wouldn't have put the kid on the stand. He's always struck me as being a bit "off", doesn't come across as overly intelligent or able to think on his feet very fast, so there's no way I would have allowed him to testify, especially in what's likely to be the first of several trials (if he's not initially acquitted). It would be interesting to hear his lawyer's reasoning for this ...
  5. I never felt much of anything after the booster, other than the slightly sore arm you get after any shot ...
  6. Got my latest iteration of the Moderna microchip last week, the boosted version no less ...
  7. Yes, last night was the first round. First round usually weeds out most of the teams who aren't very good, this week will get the rest. The following week is the quarterfinals, the round where everybody left is typically a very good team, with at least an outside chance to win their division ...
  8. Top this one!

    Ruger LCP-Max

The LCP Max has both 10 and 12 round mags available. I think the original LCP was a 6 +1 setup. Yes, Ruger makes an LC9 as well.
  10. My bet is that the court ultimately strikes down at least part of the New York law, perhaps insisting that NY become a "shall" rather than a "may" issue state. It would surprise me if the SCOTUS rules against permit laws entirely, or extends their ruling beyond the case at hand. The SCOTUS has been very reticent in the past about issuing sweeping judgements in cases of this type, I don't think that changes with this one ...
  11. Yes, I'm very aware that many (most?) people really like their AR's. I tend to be much more of a collector than actual shooter, thus I like really old guns with some historicity about them, preferably made from wood and steel. Revolvers, along with old bolt action, black powder and single shot rifles are more up my alley than AR's and the current crop of plastic fantastic pistols. Each to his own ...
  12. In terms of the likelihood of it ever being shot, probably my 1889 Berdan II single shot rifle. The (single) action screw is broken, and thus far I've been unable to find a replacement anywhere on the planet, plus the ammo (components) are fairly rare, often out of stock, and expensive. In terms of how I feel about it, the most useless is undoubtedly my AR15. A few years ago I built one, just because, shot it a couple times and put it away. Not a big fan of this platform, I wound up with quite a few parts in anticipation of building others, after the first I just lost interest ...
  13. I doubt that, in the end, anyone does time over this. At worst, I would bet that anyone convicted in any criminal trial receives probation, or some sort of community service. The subsequent civil trials will be another matter ...
  14. Very true. Reminds me of when Ruger introduced their SR1911, I wanted one but wouldn't pay the asking prices. After waiting for a few years, I came across a used one on GB, essentially a NIB gun, for $500. Not sure if I'm patient, or just cheap though ...
  15. And we thank you for that ...
  16. This thread has potential to become like some of the old-time TGO classics ...
  17. Could be many factors. As you suggested, multiple rushers on other teams sharing the carries, including QB's, or maybe the Colts other rushers, particularly the QB(s), have negative yardage, thus affecting team totals ...
  18. Not unless you weren't paying her SAG wages ...
  19. The only known survivors of a nuclear exchange are cockroaches and kudzu ...
  20. I can sympathize with them though. Although I know what Hi-Powers are, most of the time I'm totally lost when folks on here are discussing the latest whiz-bang, plastic fantastic Glock 62-whatever they're drooling over ...
  21. The pic Chuck posted was loaded on Springfield's site earlier with the caption "we're bringing it back".
  22. Comment found on another site in response to this being posted: "Given that the Tisas Regent BR9 has disappeared from the market, my bet is on them being rebadged by Springfield. There is a distant outside chance that Dasan Machineries of South Korea has tooled up for BHP without anyone noticing, but at last check they only offered barrels. Dasan has definitely been providing support for SAI’s M1A and Saint lines, and probably their M1911 as well after SAI cut ties with Brazil’s IMBEL – Fabrica de Itajuba roughly a decade ago. Dasan clearly lost out when their biggest US client, Remington, tanked. SIG-Sauer Inc. reportedly dropped them as a subcontractor a few years ago. Dan Wesson has been another client, and it should be interesting to see if their parent company CZ drops Dasan in favor of Colt’s in-house production capabilities."
  23. What do you mean, change ...
  24. The first non-corrosive primers were made in the 20's, but didn't become very popular until the mid-50's when many of the world's military organizations began switching over ...
