  1. Any luck getting out there and trying this thing out?
  2.   We will see what we can do, cause I'd love to have the belt fed stuff come out. What dates work for you?
  3. I may actually look into this if it proves out.
  4. If you guys are pretty sure you will come, can you please add your name on the list for what you'll bring. We will need clay target throwers, dueling trees, normal paper targets, exploding targets, etc, etc.   Jordan/Spots: 10-20 tannerite exploding targets, box of clays, pack of paper targets, probably half torso's.
  5.   I'm wondering if I should be 10 1-lbers or 20 1/2 lbers for the same price? What have you got?
  6. Thats sexy. What makes it impossible to use a converted Saiga?
  7. I did. My last MEU we had 4 oops pregnancies, 4 sexual assualt accusations, and one girl cried rape after being caught. Turns out she lied, they had been having consensual sex, and when they got caught she saw it as a way out without getting in trouble. And just because a lot of women are cops doesn't mean it worked out if they lowered the standards. I still say its a bad idea for the reasons listed above.
  8. Its a bad idea. Sexual assult claims, rape claims, and in country pregnacys will go through the roof if they put women in grunt units. Not to mention now needing seperate facilites in a combat zone. And not to be sexist, but it takes a lot of upper body strength to pull a man out of a bad situation in a full combat load. Woman are naturally weaker in the upper body. They need to be able to pass the same PT test as the men before serving in a line unit. I don't know about know, but when I got out of the Marines last year it was still curved heavily for women on the PFT, and CFT.
  9. April 7th is the first sunday in april, so I'll throw that out as a tentaive date, subject to change
  10. I could do that if anyone wants to see it. Tannerite is $90 for 10 1-lb targets unless I can find it cheaper. Anyone have a clay thrower and/or a dueling tree they could bring? Ill pitch in and buy clays
  11. Im sure arrangments could be made to hook.up some car pools. Id love to see some of the NFA guys bring out some of their toys too. Id probably also try to arrange for a couple skeet throwers for shotgun stuff, and might look into buying some tannerrite for a grand finale.
  12. We would probably have to do it on either a sat or sun.
  13. I know most people aren't burning ammo right now but would anyone be intrested in a shoot towards the beginning of April? We can setup targets at my dads place, several large fields with natural backstops. If we angled right we could even do 300 yds or so but it would only be a couple of people at a time at that range. Id just like to see some people bring their toys out and have a good time shooting and chatting. Let me know if your intrested and we will look at dates and get something setup.   Edit: I added a poll so I have an idea how many will be coming.
  14. This in incredibly generous offer. Thank you
  15. What equipment would you suggest for someone with more time than money, who wants to reload .45 acp, 5.56, and .308? Not looking to work out crazy loads, just trying to take some of the cost out of shooting, and be able to load up or down for different situations. Not looking into casting yet either. Just need suggestions for bare min. of equipment. Of course I would buy a good reload manual before anything else.
  16. Little backstory. When I was little, I fell off a bike, and chipped about 1/4-1/2 one of my front teeth away. I went to the doctor, and got it fixed, and then when I got in the Corps, they cut it out, and redid it. Its been redone twice while I was in with a bonded resin filling. Its less than half my tooth, kinda the bottom front corner of my front tooth. Anyways, I accidentally chipped it again today, and I am looking for a reasonably priced dentist in the knoxville area who can take care of it for me. Any suggestions? I don't have dental insurance, so someone willing to work with a plan or do it fairly cheap would be best, though if I remember correctly, this procedure is usually only $100-$300 depending on dentist. Picture of the chip
  17. I live a good 30 minutes from Walmart, and while I can;t buy everything I want ammo wise when I go now, at least I know I have a better chance of there being ammo on the shelf after I make the drive, even if I can only get one box. I work a full time job, with rough hours, and most other people here do alos, so its kinda hard to wait around all week on the delivery truck to buy the entire stock.
  18. Consdering thats a pistol and 3 mags the price ain't bad from what I've seen on gunbroker.

    Be That Guy

Anybody know what the golden book between his hand and the bible was?
  20. Everything in my place is loaded with a round in the chamber. An empty gun is just a crappy club
  21. I bought a pistol and started looking for Tennessee carry laws on google Then boom, there it was.
  22. Depends on the bullet. It might stop a slow moving hollow point. I wouldnt bet my life on it stopping anything though.
  23. No way I could carry a bag everyday, it would get old fast and I would stop carrying it. Now I do have a get home kit in the trunk, and a bug out bag at home. My everyday carry is a couple pens, wallet, pocket knife, fixed blade knife. All pocket carry
  24. I have an older Marlin 336 in 35 rem and it is my go to gun for the woods. Fairly light, its a capable round and not all that hard to find.
