  1. Please vote in the poll I just added for numbers purposes. WOuld like to have an idea of how many to expect. Also if you plan to bring an extra just post here how many extra people.   Food situation is as follows. Bring enough for yourself. I'll be bringing a cooler of water and Gatorade and stuff for sandwiches and chips. I'll be bringing more than enough for myself, but not enough for everyone. It would be cool if everyone did the same kind of thing
  2. Thanks for all the compliments guys. I try to build knives that are as tough as possible and have a spefic purpose. I love being able to drive one of my blades through a piece of seasoned locus or oak with a 6 lb sledge hammer and not hurt it. Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere
  3. If your talking about Oak Ridge I called that one and even posted a thread here about it. I didn't partake but a friend stopped by and grabbed some. Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere
  4. How about following the rules of the forum instead of posting in every high priced ammo ad with a snide remark? As per the rules: Updated Tuesday, January 22, 2013 7. You understand that you may not make a public reply to a Trading Post thread designed to interfere with the sale or trade of an item. Examples are replies stating that an item can be found cheaper elsewhere, or that the price is too high, or that you have a similar item for sale for less, etc. If you wish to haggle, do it privately with the seller. No one cares what you think about the price or availability of an item. Now you may not agree with their prices, but they paid the $20 benefactors charge just as you did to sell here. So as long as they are following the rules, then shouldn't you give them the same courteousy? How would you feel if someone jacked up every for sale thread you posted? Edit: Dolo posted while I was typing. He said exactly what I was thinking. Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere
  5. Yep and when the gougers show up the whiners aren't far behind. They like to bump every thread with a high price up with a snide comment. For a place that claims to love freedom so much a lot of you seem to hate free market economy. If you don't agree with the price, why not just ignore the ad and move on, the same way you would if a car lot is over priced, or if something cost more in kmart than it does in walmart. Instead we have 300 threads complaining about various prices from different people Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere
  6. I can pull from any ATM and if you just want to send me a message on how much you want to give I can go ahead and throw it in the card Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere
  7. He said he is glad to be home but in a great deal of pain pretty much all the time right now. He also asked to pray for his wife as she is with him 24/7 Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere
  8. No I have all the money with drawn from my paypal and in a card aling with my donation but I've been working overtime trying to get my wifes car back together. She ran it low on oil and locked the motor down, so Ive been working getting it out and then had to wait on the crate motor to come in through advance to replace it. 9. I just saw these in recoil magazine and looked them up. They are made by faxon firearms and they are basically a completely redesigned upper that will use any AR lower. It has a long stroke ak-like piston and comes chambered in 5.56 or .300 blk. Price is $1200 with one barrel or $1400 with 2 and barrels are for sale indivdually. Barrel swap takes 6 screws. I'm gonna start saving and invest in one I do believe. Though I'd like to see some more range reports first. 17. Yeah harrow spikes are great if you can find the damn things lol. I have a few, but dad might hurt me if I got to forging them. I have some HC spikes somewhere that someone has brought to a class and left if I can find them. Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere
  18. Its the 6th. April 6th, 2013. 900 am at Food City, the shoot wil get rolling around 10:00 am at the shoot site. Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere
  19. I've made dozens. They are easy to work and make some cool designs. The only way to make one hold an edge is weld a high carbon piece into it where to edge will be, or you can add carbon to the steel, neither of which is the easiest thing to do and consdiering the cheap cost ofbhigh carbon s5eel nowadays there are much better options. But if its something you just want to show off then you can do no wrong by making one lol. Heres a couple I've made This one we rolled the end into a ball and made a face on it And the two farthest left here are a couple older ones I beat out when I was a kid Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere
  20. I've thrown more knife shaped objects away than I care to admit. That sucks about the decarb layer. I was wondering why they weren't hardening, mine hardened well. Sorry to hear about it, but mistakes leave lasting lessons. Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere
