  1. I wore Bates for years in the Corps, and continued to wear them after I got out until a couple of months back. They wear like iron, and were very comfortable for me. Now I'm wearing Red Dawg loggers. I would suggest looking into logging boots for arch support as they almost all have steel shanks in them, and most of them wear forever once broken in. Airplane Crash

Thats awesome Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  3. Saying that its just an opinion for discussion and that he should not be fired for such an inflammatory statement is supporting him. He wished death on innocent children because of their parents political leanings. He wanted to create a stir, we should give him one. I hope he gets fired, and ends up homeless living under a bridge, selling bj's so he can get beer money. As for the cop thing, I apologize. It just seems that every thread I step into you are supporting the moron in the wrong, especially if he is wearing a badge. Therefore I was making the connection between you supporting these idiots no matter what they have done. For both our sakes I'll just go ahead and take care of it. :D Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  4. This guy is a piece of shit. I have 3 beautiful children that I am watching on the weekends sleeping in the next room. My thoughts at what this piece of shit said should happen to them would make the devil shudder. I fully expect you to cover for every dirty, pushy, over bearing power hungry cop that gets posted. But to support this moron? Thats a new low. I'm either gonna have to put you on ignore or myself on blood pressure medicine. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  5. Use a chisel. Tear the can off or apart until you can see the main seal ring or surface. Take a chisel and use a dead blow and unscrew it by making the chiesel bite the surface and unscrew it. Btw, hand tight is sufficent on oil filters. No need for the wrench turn. And I'd be contacting the shop who did the work and letting them know I was pissed. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  6. I was listening on the scanner as this happened. I passed several emergency vehicles heading that was as I was heading home and flipped the scanner on. Glad no one was hurt. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  7. You should try forge welding that windchime holder. Its good practice. Stuff is looking really good brother Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  8. Your thinking of the Navy. The Marines are the mens department of the Navy. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  9. I can honestly say that in 5 years the only people I saw not get their mags seated were normally female Marines. And I coached on the range on and off for 4 years. Like I said, just my opinion. I'll take the take the 2 extra rounds and just make sure my mags are seated right. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  10. Ive heard of people doing this for years. No offense, but I think its more technique than the mags fault. I don't know a single person in the Marines that I served with who only ran 28. Everyone topped their mags out. An AR is supposed to get seated firmly, not gently eased into the mag well. Slap thsm in like they are meant to go and they will seat just find. A 30rd magazine was designed to hold 30 rds and be reloaded with 30 rds in it. If it reloaded better with 28 rds, then why wouldn't they just call it a 28 rd magazine, or extend enough to make up the difference? JMHO Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  11. This. It takes practice and training to have a solid grasp on defending yourself with a blade. I'd pick up a cheap folding knife, probably a single blade in the 2" range. Look at the rough rider series. Super cheap and decent little knives for the money. I carry a 3 blade case stockman everyday for work and I dont think the biggest blade is over 2". If you need a knife much bigger than that, you really need a fixed blade. And either keep it sharp or if your worried about him getting cut, then it needs to be completely ground dull. Like the edge is flat and incapable of cutting. A knife in between those two doesn't cut well so it requires excessive pressure which then leads to accidents and cuts. And a ground out edge won't cut anything. If you decide you want a fixed blade for him let me know. Ill make him up a little 2.5" fixed blade that would work well. Free of charge of course, cause every young man should have a good knife. Like this Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  12. I am incredibly jealous. I'd love to do something like that. Good Luck and be careful :D Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  13. My dad dug it all the time growing up. I still do some ginseng hunting from time to time. Its hard to spot until you get really used to it. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  14. Depends on who is holding it. Heres the link http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longest_recorded_sniper_kills Number 1 on the list is a AI .338 lm at 2707 yds. Then the next two are Mcmillian TAC-50's. Then the barret is number 4. And that 2707 was two targets at that range. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  15. Thats actually not true. They are number 4 on the list of longest shots. An accuracy international chambered in .338 lm holds the number 4 spot. And they are good rifles but if I had to lug that heavy bastard around anywhere in bad terrain Id have some bad things to say. I'm thinking a 1911 would be the perfect TN firearm in honor of Sgt. York Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  16. That is funny as hell. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  17. I've never supported starbucks. Why should I pay $8 for a burnt cup of crappy coffee. I'll just make my own since noone cares if I open carry a pistol, or even a long gun in my kitchen. Matter of fact, I could sing remixed selections from the sound of music while open carrying an AR-15 in condition one and dressed in drag while making my coffee and nobody would give a shit. And I can buy a can of ground coffee for less than starbucks cheapest cup. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  18. Thats how every pump I've ever shot has worked. 1947 vintage Winchester Model 12 which is my go to field gun, Mossberg 500 and 590's, Maverick 88's, and Remington 870's. All had a slide release, and they were all similarly. Ive never had an issue with the placements on any of them, since thy released on a fired shot so I wasn't fiddling with them in a hurry Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  19. Ive never seen a pump without a release, but most of them Ive shot released on the shot, so its just a smooth rack when shooting, no need to hit the release button. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  20. Hope your up for a road trip. http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/ar-15-style-shotgun-raac-akdal-mka-1919/ Yeah its a different context than how those idiots meant it, but still an ar pattern shotgun. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  21. Well lets see how this works out with the shooting. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  22. Yeah if they would just go ahead and ban them then we would know where everyone stood. Who would stand up for their rights and who would go along like good sheep. But it won't happen that way. These progressive idiots won't come out in the open and do it, they will continue to work their back door, under the table deals Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  23. FBI as of right now is confirming that shooter entered with a shotgun, and may have had two semi-auto pistols. They have found no evidence of an AR-15 that was carried in or taken from a guard Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  24. Looks like the leftist idiots jumped the gun. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2013/09/17/Ar-15-daily-news-cnn-already-blow-anti-gun-narrative Tapatalk ate my spelling.

    Kel Tec su 16

The A2's were still in service in the USMC when I got to my first unit in 2008. And TMF reported recently that some Army units are still using them. And I'm pretty sure he was refering to the SU line up. I had one, neat little rifle, but felt to much like a toy, the plastic flexed, the mags popped out of the stock holders when fired, the sights weren't all that great. It made a good rifle to fold up and throw behind a truck seat, but at current going prices, there are better options. I sold mine in favor of a custom AR-15, which to me is much more of a reliable tool than a toy. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
