I just got a black Turner national match in 54" length. Traded my neighbor for it. My wife made him a pan of brownies. His wife is in Missouri while he finishes up here at ORNL and never gets homemade food so I'd call it a good trade. Tapatalk ate my spelling.

I use a 4 bulb petzel with a blue flip up lens. Its the same one thats issued to the Army medics, and I got it from one of those. Its an amazing light. Id say petzel all the way Tapatalk ate my spelling.

Who here has experince using slings for shooting? I know the new rage is single points and 3 points, but I still like the idea of hasty and loop slings. I really liked the loop sling on the m16 for shooting the KD range in the Marines. What slings do you guys use? I'm running an m14 now, and really considering a National Match M1907 sling from Turner Saddlery. Any suggestions on length or other brands or even sling types I should look at? I'll be shooting mostly range stuff, but still want a good sling to carry in the woods and use hasty style for offhand shooting. Thanks guys Tapatalk ate my spelling.

Just got mine today, dumb ass mailman set it in the rain, so Thank God Santa tapped it up almost watertight. I know the sender but won't spoil it. Some old files and railroad spikes, a cobblers anvil, a sledge hammer head, and some other cool stuff. Thanks for all the compliments guys. The gentleman was a Sevierville Police officer, really cool dude. Said he bought this one and a polytech about 10 years ago and just never shot this one more than a couple mags. It definitely looks like a safe queen, very little usage marks. I had planned on duracoating it in an East Tenn camo, but after seeing that stock in person I can't bring myself to do it, its just to pretty of a gun. Did some horse trading today. This is a gun Ive been after for a long time. Not this exact one, but this style. Ive always loved the m14, and now I have one. Its a Federal ordinance, with a forged receviver, chrone lined barrel, USGI op rod and bolt installed, and has been glass bedded. It has a beautiful laminate stock, and I love it. I did some trading with my AR, and ended up with this on Sunday. Also got some ammo, mags and boot to go with it. its a 4th Generation (late model and supposed to be the best quality) Century CETME .308 Battle rifle. Bolt gap checks good, and it shoots fairly accurate. Only tried it offhand so far. This is gonna be a test bed gun for a project I'm working with a shop on. The goal is 2 moa at 800 yds, and its gonna include turning our own custom bull barrel, trigger, stock upgrade, etc. So far what I noticed most, was how fun this thing is to shoot.
