Knowing that your brother will always be there is the most comforting thing in the world, non matter what shit storm is going on around you. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
I was there in 07-08 with B co 3rd Platoon at Phoenix. Yeah, it sucked. But such is life. I'd rather deploy there again and be with my brothers than anything else though. Most of us all feel that way still. Not a big fan of telling people that I was there. So here's the one time I will. Ha. Hence the photo of Marcus' stuff we found there.... Little stats on that deployment: -42 Purple Hearts out of 140 ish people -70% of all air support in Iraq and Afghanistan combined was in our 3 mile valley during that time -We got in 470 TICs. (Exact number is a 1-2 off, forgot the exact number the TOC recorded)
Those are some hard core stats man. Jesus.... And almost every Vet I know would rather be in any 3rd world shithole with his brothers again than anything else they could do. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
Well yea it is a good deal, they go for a lot more than that. Ya done good, real good. However a light will give you tunnel vision, all you will see is what is in the light.
Ive used a light several times, and yes they are bad for tunnel vision. Its mostly gonna get used for shooting coyotes in the backyard when they go to harrasing my dogs and livestock. Its brighter than hell, first thing my wife did was point it at me then ask what the pressure switch did and squeeze it lol. Tapatalk ate my spelling.

TGO build opinion needed regarding length of forearm
Spots replied to Trekbike's topic in Show and Tell
Rifle length. I much prefer the long rail look. Tapatalk ate my spelling. -
Lexington. I was born and raised here in the backwoods. I blame it on 5 years of traveling on Uncle Sams dime with long periods spent in Socal and Japan. Tapatalk ate my spelling.

A buddy just hooked me up with a new weapon light. I think its a good deal for $40. Its a Surefire 9 volt m962 in an arms 17 mount with the pressure switch tailcap. This will be going on my m14 as soon as I do some custom picatinny rails Tapatalk ate my spelling.

Good luck working it. Its hell on lathe tools, saw blades and sanding belts. Awesome stuff and super strong once you get it worked though Tapatalk ate my spelling.

Is spelling and punctuation a thing of the past?
Spots replied to Westwindmike's topic in General Chat
It is laziness. I text alot, and I make sure to spell out every word as accurately as I can and to use the best punctuation possible. It kills me when people do the text speak thing, where they shorten and abbreviate every word, to the point that it is almost unreadable. Its just laziness not to read through the message before sending to see if it makes sense. Tapatalk ate my spelling. -
Prayers sent Tapatalk ate my spelling.
None of it is cheap when you get into quality. In your case, I'm sure a LOT of time goes into them. It doesn't get any more expensive than hand crafted labor. Good steel costs money. In the case of the higher end folders, you have expensive blade steel and handle materials. My personal favorite... titanium. I have a Sebenza 25 that was over 400 bucks new. Not only am I an idiot, but I got it from Willis, who got it from Kong :)
And that is the cost of quality. I can by a $10 gas station knife, or I can make a 8" fixed blade that sells for about $150. That fixed blade can be sledge hammered through a locust post though, and keep on chugging. Labor will always be more than material, but it takes high qualitys of both to get a good product. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
Anything wrong with a used ebay US made 440HC Buck prince for $30 or a good 3" fixed blade? Or - gasp - a Leatherman tool. I don't understand these $100 pocked knives...then again a fool and his money are soon parted.
My leather man was $111 lol. And my fixed blades arent cheap. But you get what you pay for Tapatalk ate my spelling.

Night stand guns caliber and capacity
Spots replied to Duck's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
SA 1911 with a Surefire right next to it. M14 by the bedroom door with 20 rds in the mag. If I dump 9 rounds of .45 and 20 rounds of .308 into a target and its still alive, then I guess its down to one of bowies and one hell of a fight. The rifle is more for the coyote issues than home invasion. Tapatalk ate my spelling. -

Like I said, pm your address and I'll get one made up and on its way. You prefer wood handles or paracord wrapped? Tapatalk ate my spelling.
