I would like to apologize to the other members here and the moderators. I shouldn't have lost my temper and for that I am sorry. It won't happen again Sent from the backwoods

Actually now I'm just being an asshole. You did call me a terrorist after all. Generations come and go about every twenty years btw. Not every 2. Sent from the backwoods

I'm glad you will be able to show this thread to your grandchildren. "Look Timmy, this is where Grandpa admitted he was gutless and didn't give a damn about burning an American flag " Sent from the backwoods

Just curious on how many hours/rounds you guys try to get in each month with your main carry gun. 50 rounds a month? 100? One range day a month or less? I've set a goal for myself. I am gonna to get a Norris membership next month and commit myself to shooting after work at least twice a week. Everything from basic marksmanship to reloads. My goal is 100 rds through the gun a week. How often do you practice? Sent from the backwoods

I think this thread just took a turn for the interesting. I knew there was a reason I subscribed to it as soon as it got posted last night. Sent from the backwoods

There are very few people on this planet I would trust to shoot that close to me. And 90% of those that I would are Marines I have served with. The other ten percent are military and contractors. I just dont see a justification for that drill with live fire in a civilian setting, especially with a bunch of strangers I've never shot with. And I bet the noise and pressure wave was horrendous. Other than that the class looks interesting. Thanks for the review Sent from the backwoods

Didn't you know dude?? I keep me Koran right next to my sand scrubbed, dirty AK, and practice blindly hip firing at least once a week. It is a little hard to find prayer time between 12 hour shifts at work, blacksmith shop, range time, and actually seeing that other human that lives in my house I call my wife at some point in the week. So usually just a little "Aloha Snackbar" gets me through the day. Sent from the backwoods

I hope you figure it out soon. I hate the idea that seeing me post here gets your panties in a bunch. You started a thread with the intention of trolling. Like an idiot, I engaged you. You have less than 3 months on here and nobody knows you from Adams off mule. I've been here 3 years and just about every regular member on this forum has either spoken to me in person, on the phone, or in chat. I stood up for my beliefs, and your answer was to call for me to be locked up in a mental institution, then to call me a terriost. Immediately after calling me a terriost one of the admins banned you. Also you may wanna check your last thread, and notice TGO David's last post on that thread. He mentioned he checked your profile and noticed very little contributions in the way of firearms related postings and mostly it was shit stirring and BS. He also makes mentions that that is a very bad thing for him to take notice of. So you may wanna just find the block button, and play nice from now on. Sent from the backwoods

Bad guy with gun shot by good guy with gun

Does Tennessee have a state law that states that if you are in a justified shooting it doesn't matter if you were legally caring with a permit? Or am I insane and dreamed that Nevermind found it 39-17-1322. Defenses. A person shall not be charged with or convicted of a violation under this part if the person possessed, displayed or employed a handgun in justifiable self-defense or in justifiable defense of another during the commission of a crime in which that person or the other person defended was a victim. So tonight my nephew tested for his yellow belt (second belt) in Taekwondo and Hapkido. The man who test him was the same man who tested me, my dad. I thought it was pretty cool that we now have 3 Generations of Martial Artist in the family. My dad is a 6th Degree blackbelt in Taekwondo, Hapkido and Judo, My oldest sister and myself are both 1st degree black belts in all 3 arts, and now her son and my nephew has started on the same path. Here are some pictures from tonight's test. The test included judo, even though the judo belt ranks take much more time to achieve, the school has always taught all 3 together and not made separate time or classes for each. Great. Shoot one and take him out the system and 5 more already take his place. -
You should David. I recently worked out my schedule to start training in Judo, Hapkido and taekwondo again, and my dad is teaching again so it's a double plus. I am spending time with my dad, learning again and feeling much better now that I am working out and training regularly again. Tha KS for the history on Sambo, I had heard of it but didn't know the orgins. Sent from the backwoods

I read somewhere that they taught him a system known as central axis re relock for alot of the shooting. No idea the validity of the method, but it definitely worked for an action film. Sent from the backwoods

I really hope they don't ow it with the sequel. To many times recently they seem to make a great movie, and then proceed to water it down and mess it up by adding sequels and prequels. Sent from the backwoods

I have a very hard time finding a mechanic. I've been through Automotive school, ASE certified and I was a helicopter mechanic so I'm slightly on the picky side. Like super picky. That said, the new job requires that most of my work be done elsewhere due to time constraints. I have had the best luck from smaller independent shops that employ ASE Certified technicans. They usually care more about their customer base, and the techs have much more experience in doing it right the first time. Quick lube and Walmart type guys normally are much younger, inexperienced and paid close to minimum wage with little training. I hope you get the money out of him for the door, he should have just done the right thing, Man Up, admit your mistake and carry on. As for the manager and child killer hollow points. I wouldn't frequent that store any longer and I would call corporate every chance I had when something happened. Also, if he is a Vietnam Vet, he has obviously forgotten that hollow points werent meant as child killers, but Napalm sticks to kids! Sent from the backwoods -
So was I late to the party and missed the discussion on this movie? I watched it awhile back, and recently got it for a Birthday present. To me it is one of the best action films in a long time. I loved the use of judo throughout the movie, as it's an art I've trained in for years and it rarely gets press. A lot of the throws and techniques were executed very well. I also liked that it showed multiple reloads instead of infinite bullets and seemed to put a more tactically minded methid of handling a pistol to good use. Anybody else impressed with the movie? You're having an allergic reaction to the glock polymers. You need to sell it to me and go back to your surplus steel. slso, Glock triggers are really hard to use after shooting anything else. Sent from the backwoods

Break it up? Hell I'd be giving odds and taking bets lol. I avoid Walmart as much as possible just due to the sheer stupidity of the general public there. But if two grown ups wanna fight, let them fight. To bad the kid was involved Sent from the backwoods
