  1. The fact you know it is what worries me..... Though I'm with Comm on this one. .40 has the ammo capacity of a .45 and the knockdown of a 9mm. Though I do drink Coors Light and have found that nothing makes you impervious to motorcycle wrecks.... Sent from behind the anvil
  2. DS Arms FAL. I had an M14 and it was heavy and ammo picky. And they take some work to be nail drivers. Had a G3 clone and it was ok, mags are stupid cheap for those. I just like the FAL better. Sent from behind the anvil
  3. I had mine shipped straight to my person using Amazon Sent from behind the anvil
  4. I bought mine something they had mentioned wanting in another thread. I hope I got the right thing and they haven't bought one yet. As far as I go, I can be super easy or super hard. Amazon gift cards, especially for kindle. Old tools like files, hammers, chisels, etc are great. I can always use some more 9mm or Glock 17 parts. Sent from behind the anvil
  5. I had one tell me to my face just last week that if I wanted a really good self defense pistol the judge is the only way to go. Told me a .410 buckshot load at hallway distances is enough to physically knock a man off his feet from the force of the impact. I was asking about .357 revolvers for my wife, and he said ".357 is ok but even birdshot out of a judge is more powerful than a .357"..... Needless to say we went elsewhere to look. 6. I will add one thing that has been mentioned once already. Like most people said the public doesn't notice printing or even OC very much. But if you act nervous and are constantly touching and adjusting your holster or gun, then it draws attention to it. Sent from behind the anvil
  7. We always buy our own then wrap them for each other. It's just easier that way. Sent from behind the anvil
  8. For me a lot of it is wildlife. Coyotes harrassing live stock are a major problem as are hogs destroying crops and pasture. Either one of those is good call for a long gun. Also if there is an active shooter in the area or engaging me, my goal is gonna be to use my pistol as a weapon to get me to my truck and my rifle. If I can drive away safely I will, but it's possible you may get to the car and risk being shot trying to drive away. Sent from behind the anvil
  9. I burnt kne out in Florida last year while we were working down there. I poured a couple gallons of gas in it after dark and lit it off. We then piled on the old cabinets and doors from the house and had a bonfire. The next morning there was a hole that swallowed a five gallon bucket. A nest like the one in the video would be deadly if you got attacked. I hate any kind of stinging wasp. Also, foxes dig up nest alot. Sent from behind the anvil
  10. 3, 5 and 7 yards. 21 feet is the longest. I don't remember shot break down but it was 50 rounds total. It was very easy to pass, I dropped one shot and got a 99 if I remeber right. You need to register online first, then take that number to the class and they file your certificate electronically. I took the class on a Saturday and had the permit in hand the next monday. 11. They will pull you over and ticket you for obstructing the flow of traffic in Southern California for not keeping up with the flow. I've seen it done. The speed limit is 55 for trucks, 65 for everything else. Traffic usually is either at a stand still or flowing somewhere north of 80 mph in all 16 lanes (8 each direction ) keep up or you'll either get a ticket or get run over. Sent from behind the anvil
  12. Yep. I'm not gonna wait around to see what else he is gonna do. He has proven he has a handgun and is an immediate threat by killing someone. If I could get my firearm out I'd not be waiting to see what else he had planned. Sent from behind the anvil
  13. I hope it passes. It's not a drivers responsibility to slow down other drivers. If your not passing get out of the passing lane, all you're doing is making the flow of traffic worse and travel more dangerous by forcing people to pass on the right. And traveling to slow is just as dangerous as to fast. Sent from behind the anvil
  14. I didn't say it did. I'm saying people make their own choices to be what they want to be, and I make my choices to be involved in their life or not. As far as family that's not blood, I've got brothers I went to war with and brothers in my motorcycle club who are closer and better family than most of my real family. They call me more often, we visit alot more and they care more about me and my family's well being than a lot of my very close family does. They have my back at all times and I have theirs. That's what makes them family, not the fact that they were born with the same last name. Sent from behind the anvil
  15. I got family that ain't blood and blood that ain't family. They make their choices and I make mine. If they want to be an asshole or a liberal, socialist, communist, anti-gun, or whatever then that's a choice they make. And I can make the choice to simply not be around them. I've got a cousin that's anti-gun and super liberal. Haven't spoke to the guy in years. He wants to see me, he knows where I live and what my phone number is, he can come see me at my place, guns and all. Sent from behind the anvil
  16. I'll never shave mine. At this point it's part of who I am. Sent from behind the anvil
  17. I spent Sunday walking the land around mom and dad's picking out a home site. We plan to break ground sometime next year on our first house and we will be doing so on family land Sent from behind the anvil

  19. I would verify but this says only the serial number must go on the recevier. The rest can go on the frame, recevier or barrel. https://www.guntrustlawyer.com/2010/03/batfe-engraving-requirements-f.html Sent from behind the anvil

  22. When I ride in the winter the windchill is brutal. I use artic Carhartt overalls, layered over long johns, jeans, t shirt, flannel shirt, and a leather jacket and vest over it all. I also use a fleece face mask over my face. I stay warm at speeds up to 85 in Temps down in the teens. Sent from behind the anvil
  23. I finally got a weekend off after 7 straight 7 day weeks at work. I took the wife and hook up with my MC brothers and we did our annual USMC birthday party and Veterans day celebration and I got a mini vacation with my wife. You guys have a beautiful city and Beale Street is amazing. All the Patched brothers The cake, talking to some boot Marines after their ball, me and my sweetheart Sent from behind the anvil
  24. I'll be damned if I'll turn and run on my own property. There wouldn't have been a warning shot though. You have a club in your hand and threaten me I'm shooting your ass. I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Sent from behind the anvil
