  1. Predator is permanently closed now Sent from behind the anvil
  2. I said I'd never own a Glock. Then I bought a Gen 3 17 for edc and I'm wanting a 41 for home defense. The value to dollar ratio is hard to beat. Sent from behind the anvil
  3. Yep, that's why I made sure to mention that I would be obtaining a fuel permit before distilling anything other than water or essential oils, and why even after getting the permit I would never drink the lawn mower fuel. Sent from behind the anvil
  4. Thank you everyone for all the help so far. I can't wait to get my first batch running Sent from behind the anvil
  5. Is there any reason this won't work as a fermeter? http://www.popularmechanics.com/home/how-to/g1580/how-to-build-your-own-home-brewing-mash-tun/ Do I need to add an airlock to let it breath? Sent from behind the anvil
  6. It was tapatalk. The blocking doesn't work in tapatalk, but does in the mobile browser
  7. They are neither of those things. Just regular members. May I pm you the names or is there something else I should try. I'm attempting to do this from a phone using the full version browser, but I've also tried it from a laptop and it didn't work Sent from behind the anvil
  8. Might be. Probably have to wait on David to chime in Sent from behind the anvil
  9. I just did it step by step and it didn't seem to work for either one Sent from behind the anvil
  10. I am having issues blocking a couple of members. I have went to the full version, searched and selected their username, and checked block on all 4 options yet I still see both their old post and their new ones. Am I doing something incorrectly or is not working right? Sent from behind the anvil
  11. The solution is a bullet. I have no respect for anyone who hurts a kid or animal period. And I do put my animals above most humans. You hurt my dog or horse, your best bet is to go to jail and end up on this list. Because I'm an easy natured person but I can be a mean sonofabitch when I'm pushed Sent from behind the anvil
  12. Hypothetical I may have seen it on a dvd. My opinion? It's a shitty movie, as mentioned above its a ton of half interesting dialogue and ten minutes of shoot 'em up. It also includes a very vividly described scene of black on white forced oral sex, which I have no doubt was intentionally added specifically as a race issue considering how Tarantino kissed the ass of the black lives Matter crowd. I enjoyed both his Kill Bill movies and Inglorious Basterds, but refused to watch Django Unchained after the lead actors racist rants, and now this one also. Sent from behind the anvil
  13. I ride with a club. We are side x side on the interstate. State and secondary roads it depends. If it's fairly straight it's side x side, anything else is staggered. Most of the time I would say there is 4-8 ft between our tires. It's part of it, we all ride together a lot, and hangarounds and prospects are introduced into the pack slowly and carefully. I've actually got a 60 mile ride tomorrow Sent from behind the anvil
  14. Oh I never said I wouldnt. But they have been one of the only members of the special operations community to embrace the limelight rather than shun it as a whole. The others are slowly opening up, with things such as Combat rescue, featuring the Pararescue guys, which to me is one of the most impressive groups in the entire Special Operations community. I do know a friend who deals with recruitment said they have seen their numbers of people interested in special operations skyrocket in the last few years. Lots of people see the cool shit, and wanna join up. 98% of them have no idea what they are going in to. I've talked to a prior service Army recruiter half a dozen times about going back in under the 18X program for Special Forces. But I'm not getting younger, my body isn't in as good shape and I'm honest enough to be able to tell myself that I don't physcially have what it takes to excel at those jobs. It took me years to accept that fact. Sent from behind the anvil
  15. Also. These seem appropriate here https://youtu.be/1dm0BxFZfmI https://youtu.be/gJsnEJRUjVs Sent from behind the anvil
  16. I don't think I've ever meet a Seal who wasn't ready for his next close up. It's the new path to Hollywood and book deals. Sent from behind the anvil
  17. I don't think I'd count a Green beret below a Seal. Just different missions, it still takes an incredible person to do either one. Of course MARSOC is the best on the planet, so everyone else is just competing for second place anyways.[emoji13] Sent from behind the anvil
  18. Whole lot more reaction time at under 30 mph, than there is at 80. Anytime you're riding in a tight formation, especially aide by side there is a risk. I will say I'd rather just see the helmet law go off the books. We are all big boys and girls. If I'm adult enough to survive on my own, then a helmet or seat belt should be my choice to make. 19. I think they just change names/designations from time to time, but probably stay within the same scope of capabilities and mission's. And while I'm sure each individual member of ST6 shoots way more than a normal Marine, we also use 134 mini guns, 240's, M249's, M60's and MA Deuces. The numbers just don't line up. And I'm not saying Seals are known to exaggerate and brag, but they tell some amazing fishing stories lol Sent from behind the anvil
  20. And sun tan lotion. Sent from behind the anvil
  21. 185k Marines. At minimum we all qualify on the rifle range once a year. 3 days of known distance firing 60 shots a day, then two days of Table two firing 100 shots a day. So bare min. is 380 rounds per year per Marine. This does not include crew served weapons training, supplemental training by the infantry which includes a lot of live fire, and live fire training on vehicle mounted systems and airborne systems. So it we go off min. Rounds fired minus all that, you are at 70,300,000 rounds for 185k Marines. I'd say the actual number of allowance is 3 to 4 times that. If it's 4 times that's 281 million rounds. So unless each member of Seal team six is running a million rounds each (guessing at 300 members, probably much smaller) they aren't even close. That would be 2600 rounds a day, 365 days a year. I think somebody is full of #### and needs a calculator lol. Edit: Found the quote in the book Rouge warrior written by ST6 commander Richard Marcinko. He claims that his 90 man command used more ammo than the entire Marine Corps. That's 2100 rounds per man, per day at the very base training number of 70,300,000 for the USMC allowance. If it's my guess of 4 times that, 281 million rounds, it would be 8500 rounds a day, year round. On that note, I have had to much borboun and will leave the Marine vs Seal pissing contest alone for the evening. Semper Fi, Good night and Happy New Year. Sent from behind the anvil
  22. Spend more time blacksmithing. Drink more. Start distilling my own alcohol. Spend more time with my motorcycle club. Spend more time with my family. Work less. The work is the one that gets in the way of all the others. I worked an average of 84 hours a week this year. 7 12's gets really old. Sent from behind the anvil
  23. Yes. Borboun must be made inside the United states, used a mash of at least 51% corn, aged in new oak barrels, distilled at no higher than 160 proof, barreled at no higher than 125 proof, and bottled at 80 proof or higher. 95% of borboun is made in Kentucky. Technically Jack Daniels qualifies as a borboun, but advertises as Tennessee whiskey because it is filtered through 10-22 feet of sugar maple charcoal. This is known as the Lincoln County process and is what creates Tennessee Whiskey Sent from behind the anvil
  24. My only guess would be a miners tag. Though it's smaller then either of my two Papaws tags, and they were only stamped with a number. Maybe an inmate tag or something? Sent from behind the anvil
  25. I had a Mossberg 500 Grand Slam Turkey. 20" barrel with interchangeable chokes, fiber optic sights, mossy oak patterned. It was nothing special, but it was durable and put meat on the table regularly. It was less than $400 out the door from Bass Pro in a 2008. Sent from behind the anvil
