I know Bateman. Or should say I know of him. I've been involved in traditional martial arts my entire life. My dad is a 7th degree black belt in Hapkido, Taekwondo and Judo, has been to Korea and trained, and has trained under a Korean grandmaster for years. He has been in it for 30+ years. To say Bateman is a joke is to put it nicely. I've seen his students at tournaments. It's all fluff and bullshit and the man honestly thinks he can walk on water. Make sure you use hardened steel. Soft steel will crater and can eventually cause jacket and bullet ricochets if it's to thick to punch through. You could probably order a set of steel AR500 body armor plates and the shipping would be resonable Sent from behind the anvil

I had some interest in this last year, so I'm putting the offer out there. I am offering a one day basic course. It will cover throws, chokes, kicks, strikes, joint locks and ground work for the unarmed portion. It will also include Long knife and Tomahawk techniques, as well as improvised weapons design and usage in urban and rural areas. This will be a 10-12 hour class. Location will be within 20 minutes of Oliver Springs, TN. Water, coffee and Gatorade will be provided, you need to eat breakfast, bring a lunch, and bring money for supper at a $10-15 per person restaurant after the class. I'll be your main instructor, as well as my father, who is a 6th Degree black belt in Taekwondo, Hapkido and Judo. I hold black belts in those three as well and that is were the unarmed techniques will come from. The long knife and tomahawk techniques are drawn from my one on one training with Col Dwight McLemore. You will need to bring a mouth guard, pants, non-steel toe boots or shoes, and a tshirt or sweatshirt. Any weather except snow. I've started a 1998 Buick with pocket knife. And have owned more than one truck where the key wasn't needed to start it because the cylinder was so worn out. I've owned two F-150s like that. So yeah some things can still be started without a key. Sent from behind the anvil

I carry a Glock 17 in an M7 style anytime I'm on the motorcycle. This one was made by GjohnsonIV and the craftsmanship is fantastic. At one time the liquor that came from these mountains was the purest in the world. It was made by men who believed in craftsmanship, using old family recipes in all copper stills. Then prohibition hit, and suddenly America couldn't get enough alcohol. People with little idea of what they were doing built large sheet metal and wood submarine stills capable of cranking out hundreds of gallons a week of the sugar head popskull low grade whiskey. It became about profit and they started cutting the already cheap whiskey with chemicals to give it more kick, stuff like lye, acid, cow piss, etc etc. Home distilling has never recovered from that. With a good still and some time you can make some great liquor at home. Hell we have a thread here discussing it. But I've seen to many 5 gallon bucket prison stills and "moonshine" in plastic milk jugs to purchase anything through the good ol' boy network. Might have been methanol fuel. You get a little methanol when distilling but you throw it out and it's a very small amount. Lots of drag racers use methanol fuel though, kids wouldn't know the difference Sent from behind the anvil

Why is it some people will worry about GMO'S in their food and ask for purified water, but you tell them it's moonshine and they chug it by the gallon. Subaru. I had a WRX and loved mine. Granted it was a very tuned up turbo flat-4, but both the 4 and 6 cylinder naturally aspirated boxer motors have good torque, which is way more important to the butt dyno than horsepower. Also, there awd system is second to none and the cars are hammer tough for the most part. The guy who leases the fields behind our house uses a Subaru outback for his field car to check cattle etc, and I've never seen it stuck with good tires on it. Sent from behind the anvil

So many times I have wanted to strap a scabbard on the bike and slip a birds head grip, 18" pump gun down in it, but 2 things stop me. One, I don't really have the money to be the test case for "in the motor vehicle " and Two I don't know how to secure it in the scabbard if we stop to eat or anything on a run.
