Hey guys, first off I want to send a big thank you out to everyone who showed up, and I'm glad everyone made it safely. And a special thanks to Don (Timestepper) and Dave (wd-40) for showing up in hot, non breathable period correct clothing and sharing with us. The trade blanket was awesome, and the hides I was given will go to good use. I've already started practicing with my hawk throwing, and planning for a fall Rendezvous at my old mans place in the mountains. I'd like to see some trade blankets and home made warez at that one also. Anyways thanks for coming guys, I had an awesome time and hope you did too Also a big thanks to pat and his boy for camping again last night and just sitting around bull####ting

To everyone who is coming out. This is my phone number, please, Please, PLEASE call me when you are 5 to 10 minutes out from my house. I'm assuming everyone has navigator or GPS, but I'll have to tell you were to park and how to get to the campsite. For people who have problems with heat, you can park in the field, but I'd like to keep that to a minuimun of only those who really need too. Thanks guys Jordan/Spots 850-776-8205

Well Mark@sea sent me a message today saying he was done with my leather work. If its 1/2 as nice in person as it is in pics, It'll be the best piece of leather I've ever owned. Heres whats going in it first off 1851 Navy in .36 1858 Army in .44 And heres the leather. Belt is 3" wide Sorry, I'm just so excited for this I had to post

My best estimate is 12-15 people, Idk how many kids though. Glad to gear you guys are coming out and I'm happy to hear that hes bringing some toys for us to look at. On a side note, please everyone keep in mind this is a primtive survival get together, not a shooting meet. Some shooting is ok, but I dont want it to end up sounding like a warzone or having brass everywhere. Thank you to everyone who has agreed to bring stuff. You guys are awesome

TS is right, if you have issues with ground seating, bring a chair. Also if you will be showing up before 500 pm I need to know asap. I have to pick my wife up at 400, so if your gonna be here before or during that time I need to let you know whats going on.

Yeah no kidding. Pics or GTFO lol. Now you'll have the same setup I just bought

First holster is almost done. He said he needs to trim it and punch the thong holes for the hammer tie down. I think it looks so amazing. I can't believe how good it looks so far.

Just wanted to throw out that the 15 day forecast is up finally. The weather for the planned weekend is as follows: Fri. High - 97 degrees/101 degrees real feel Low- 70 degrees/ 74 degrees real feel Clear all day and night Sat. High - 84 degrees/ 90 degrees real feel Low- 70 degrees/ 68 degrees real feel Chance of rain So dress for hot and humid weather, and plan for some rain during the day saturday. Right now it looks like about 10-12 People will be eating breakfast on sat. so thats what I'm gonna plan the food around. So I'll bring enough eggs and taters for a dozen people, and if you'll plan for a dozen on the meat WD, we should be good to go. Mrs. Dolomite, if you'd like to cook we would love that, what kinda stuff would you like to cook? My only worry is I have a tight budget, so I dont know if doing supper and breakfast is in my budget right now as far as providing food.

I posted some pictures of my pistols that I traded for about a week ago. Well I'm now getting some leather made from Mark@sea from this board. He is working on them as we speak, and I'll be posting updates as he sends them. I think this is gonna be the slickest rig I've ever owned, and I love the fact that its being built by a good guy like Mark. Heres what hes basing it off of, it'll be for a right handed shooter, not a left. Heres the belt, he hasn't done the holsters yet, but the belt is very impressive from the pics. Its 3" wide, with 1.5" cinch belt, using brass buckles. Hope you guys like it, I know I'm damn sure gonna love it. Thanks Mark!!!!

Damn boys do I need to call the inaurance company for some liability on this event? Lol we all do stupid stuff from time to time. Glad no one was to seriously hurt....yet.

Alright I'll play. My one gun would be a suppressed Ruger Mini 14. I just prefer the platform over the AR platform, and with the suppressor it would make it that much more of a good offensive weapon. For my bladed weapon it would be a Tom Brown Tracker knife. They are the best survival knives I've ever seen, and extremely useful. I would move by myself, on a mule at night. Mules are smarter, and more sure footed than horses. I would move north towards TN, heading towards the family land, where we have plenty of resources, for the long haul if necessary. My wife doesn't travel with me most of the time, and she knows to head there, so in all probability thats where we would meet at.

Yeah im getting excited. And theres some blackberries close by for the pikin. I know iots all about the simple stuff, but I can't resist a chance to share some good hot campfire cooked food with friends
-
Dang that sucks. Hopefully you get a new one easily. This is why I have a leather document bag/ case that I use for anything important. Long standing habit from the military, always carrying orders and other stuff yiu can't affird to get messed up.
-
I know what you mean by that. I spent the last 5 years working on CH-46 Helicopters in the Marines. If its not low power, leaking oil, fuel, or hydraulic fluid, vibrating out of limits, or sending of random warning lights, then you better put your head between your legs, because its about to crash.

Well fire wood is pulled up. Gonna take the chainsaw down in a day or two and hack it into camp fire sized lumps.

Awesome dave, I'd love to hear and see that big baby go boom!! And thanks for volunteering on the meat #1 Spots- Eggs, taters, and coffee #2 Dave/WD-40- Breakfast meat

I've done 30 ft into the ocean from a hovering helicopter at night. That was......interesting. I've also done 87 feet, feet first into the ocean off a bridge in Japan. I can't wait to start the Pararescue pipeline and go to the static line and HALO/HAHO schools
-
I'd be all over that in a heart beat. I love that kinda stuff

I love it man. Good job
