I have discovered that there is no perfect knife. Ive never seen or made a knife that was truly perfect in any way. Design, material, or craftsmanship flaws are almost always there. The exception is a custom designed blade from a full time maker, with a LOT of experience. And flawless blades of that caliber run into the thousands quickly.

Welcome and Merry Christmas

Looks great, I saw it before it was done looks better now

Quote: Yep. High end productions are wonderful, and most have an awesome fit and finish. A hand forged custom is only better because it is what YOU want. You pick the handle material, blade length, shape, size, guard style or guardless. It is your knife through and through, and no matter what, with hand forging and finishing, there will never be two identical knives But dont get me wrong. I carry a production folder and not even a particaullary high end one.i would love to have a zt and they are incredible knives

There is nothing like a high quality knife. Theres such a difference in the feel, weight, everything. And that is one fine piece of sharpened steel. Congrats

God thats a horrible thing to happen Christmas eve. Question If they don't have search warrants (doesn't say if they do or not) then how is it legal to search everyone as they leave, and search their houses with them not present? Can they search a house on nothing but probably cause without you there? And if they can, are they justified searching every house in the area? This is a genuine question, as I don't know the answer to it.

I order what I want online. Used to hit the cigar shop in Okinawa once a month but that was 4 + years ago.

Do you allow your kids to arm themselves when home alone?
Spots replied to Links2k's topic in General Chat
I had access to my first gun, a 20 ga and the shells for it when I was 8. I understood that I was to tell one of my parents before touching it unless it was life or death. By the time I was 17 in 2005, I had a loaded 38 special on the nightstand, my 20 ga. Loaded by the door, and the model 12 12 gauge loaded on the gun rack. It was very normally to grab a shotgun or rifle and take off into the woods fri. Afternoon before my parents got home from the time i was 15. But I was raised with respect for guns from birth, and I was very mature for my age. -
1/4" thick. A lot thicker and stouter than the average machete

Post your contest essays here
-
After TGO David gracious Christmas gift, I now have permission to post this giveaway as a vendor here on TGO. If you've already written an essay then just post it up. If not you better get cracking. Always wanted a custom knife, but can't afford to have one made? How about I give you one free. Heres how the competition works. Write an essay in the soon to be posted thread. Nothing crazy just 1-3 well thought out paragraphs. Describe the knife you'd have made, why, and what you would use it for. Write the essay by Jan. 5th and then the members here will have a week to vote on their favorite one. If you win the knife, you'll then send me a detailed description or picture, and I will do my best to replicated it. After you receive the knife, I only ask for an honest review in a reasonable time. Post here if your in and get those essays rolling. Please post all essays in the thread provided, and any discussion here. That way the essay thread stays uncluttered. This is my way of giving back, since I can't afford to buy anyone memberships. Jordan

I still think the veterans guarding schools is a great idea. I'd volunteer for that in a heartbeat.

Any Loopholes for open Carry without permit in Tennessee?
Spots replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
No, TN did a good job of completely violating the second amendment by making it illegal to carry any weapon with the intent to go armed. The only defense to this is the Handgun carry permit. Your still carrying illegally with an hcp, it just that is a defense to breaking the law. -
Cancelled mine. Took me 7 phone calls before someone quit telling me I ordered an entry kit and told me I ordered a magazine. Cancelled before it ever came off the card, so didn't lose out anything
-
I ordered one, I spoke with two associates and a "products specalist" and they said it was the whole kit..... I can always send it back or just sell it on gunbroker
-
I'm talking to them right now, and they say they think its the whole upper. Really wanna order but don't wanna waste the money for a mag I dont need
