  1. Will guess that your sarcasm detector was broken, and when you asked, it was easier for them to ignore it than to get in a debate about it.
  2.     Sounds like that guy may have been getting some signals from the second party involved there.  You won't get any better advice than from Raoul on this one
  3.   See the problem is that the ONLY reason Bud's was desirable was because they had low prices, by them opening up a shop here, it automatically jacks up everything we see online now by 10% (roughly) which puts them right on par with most other shops.  Bud's will see a drop in online purchases from TN, because hiring people here or not, people are not going to pay an extra 10% just for 5 or 6 jim bob's to have a job 4 hours away from their house. Give it some time and you'll rarely hear of anyone here ordering from bud's online again... They may be able to compete with local shops easily, but online ordering will drop dramatically from our state.
  4. Never had piranha, but if you lived around them this seems to be the way to get 'em.  No reason to waste time using any other way   http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=9d5_1406308910
  5. oh heck didn't know that
  6.   I don't think it would be on the FFL to worry about that, because the buyer could be leaving it at a relative's house, or second house in a different state etc..
  7. Still not a fan of it no matter what, it'll cost more now!
  8. Yeah Erik, is correct, no state income tax.  Coming from KY where I paid a 5.8% state income tax @ $60k per year, I completely lost over $3100 per year and got zero back...  well, normally I would have to pay $30 to file my state taxes, then it would sometimes get me between a $20-40 refund.  This is on top of the state sales tax which is 6%.   Higher sales tax and no state income tax is awesome here in TN because it is essentially a system of consumption taxes only.  The state income tax is just money you lose, the more money you make, the more you lose.    To put it in perspective, using the TN sales tax of 9.25%, I would have to buy an additional $103,000 worth of taxed stuff every year just to negate the state income tax costs from KY.
  9.   Exactly, Bud's just lost all of my online business unless they have some ludicrously crazy deal that compensates for the 9.25% price hike.   PSA is #1 on the list now, sorry Bud!
  10. That's not good!  now we have to start paying sales tax online because they have a shop in-state
  11.   This is what I would recommend; we also love to fly around in smaller planes which is primarily Cessna's but last year we took a ride in an old open top 1930's biplane in Key West and it was more fun than anything else.   The air show will probably have a lot cooler options for the same price or possibly even cheaper since there will be a lot of competition for business there.
  12. seems to be running fine, office was having some issues with java, but it just needed to be reinstalled so no biggie.... other than that the only difference I see is that the icons look more like the ios 7 stuff... haven't really read about the upgrades yet
  13. For the Mac people that want to play with it:   https://appleseed.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/   Not sure how many they are going to allow, so if you want it may want to get onboard soon.

    dumb gun lock

Those reviews HAVE to be fake, or this "NRA instructor" needs to be kicked off the home team.
  15. This is about the dumbest one I've seen in a while.  basically a combination lock using toggle switches to unlock the gun for it to be fired.   http://www.saftlok4guns.com/   "Hold on good sir, I cannot remember the combination of lever manipulations to unlock the gun to defend myself"  While he's getting beat over the head with a baseball bat.
  16.   Was told a few weeks ago on an order I placed on a clearance item that they oversell them all the time, she didn't give exact numbers on that one I bought, but made it sound like there was a large amount of overselling it.  Would guess that a $300 1911 would be worse.
  17. seen that yesterday, what is really cool if I understand that is that you can extend or shorten it to your own needs.
  18. he'll be caught shortly, small town and great surveillance photo
  19. Actually had to pull out some Hunter S. Thompson on my parents the other day when they started talking about praying to fix something instead of working at it themselves

    $40K TV

I don't understand what this thing is supposed to do... it's only 85"  for $40k you could have an entire theater room built around an 85" tv
  21.   ^ this   That thing means more to him than it does to anyone else.
  22. Christmas story lamp with a camo lamp shade!
