  1.     Just read that and came in here to post.  The incompetence is oozing out of every crack of the building... The fact that he got to the door is mistake #1, the fact he got inside is mistake #2 and the fact he made it more than one step inside without being turned into swiss cheese is just mind boggling to me, much less made it through multiple rooms and into the family's living quarters.    Every security person working that day should already have a bunch of free time to start looking for a new career.
  2.   They also have that place called battleground las vegas (I think) where you can rent military vehicles like an actual M1A1 tank and go drive over crap with them.
  3.     If it's worth doing, it's worth bragging about!
  4.   We just got back from there a couple of weeks ago, red rock was ok but honestly we had more fun doing donuts out in the desert than we did driving around looking at rocks.  The Atomic Museum is there, it was a good way to spend a couple hours in the morning before you get out to the strip.  Make sure to do the tour when you get to the dam, that was really interesting.  You can't see the inside & generators and stuff if you don't pay for that tour.   Blue Man Group was probably the coolest thing we did there, if you wait until the day of the show, you can usually get tickets for half price (this goes for almost any of the shows, not just BMG). Like btq, I've seen Penn & Teller and they were pretty good, but that was 7 years ago.  No clue on how their new material is.   As for restaurants, we ate at a few swanky places but there was a cheaper place by Gordon Ramsay called "Burgr" at Planet Hollywood.  The food there was amazing.   Just hop on http://www.tripadvisor.com and check out the stuff, there's so much to do there that you'll be able to get a better idea from a site like that.
  5.   Not true, not everyone takes the quran literally.   The problem with religions as a whole is that everyone wants to pick and choose specifics out of the book to live by, and the rest is left up to "interpretation"... You know, whatever doesn't fit that person's desire.  One person says gays are going to hell, his neighbor says god loves everyone.  Guy across the street says money is the root of all evil, but he's mad that he doesn't have a new boat.  Could go on for days about that.   Last time we were in the Philippines, we stayed for almost a week at the house of a Sultan's son.  He knew we were not muslim, he didn't try to convert us or lop off our heads and his family was nicer to us than anyone else we stayed with.  Categorizing them as a whole based off the lunatics is like saying all christians have the same beliefs as the westboro baptist church protestors.
  6.   Make sure you remind your neighbors how nice it is when you see them leaving for work.  Our neighbor retired in the spring and he sure likes to remind us how nice it is lol
  7. Went and seen the movie yesterday, it was pretty crappy;  the first & second ones were much better.  The bad production aspects can be overlooked because of the storyline, but when you start giving a bad storyline & bad production, the whole thing just goes down the tube.
  8.   There's a bunch of verses in the bible that give the "ok" to kill. Leviticus 24:16 is one of them:     I'll leave it at this though cause the thread is getting into a religious debate more so than about the thug murderer
  9. I would be willing to help you out on checking the hard drive to save your stuff, but not going to get involved in the other work.  Would do that at no cost since it's not much effort.  Can't guarantee anything though without getting my hands on the drive first and checking it out.  At least that wouldn't cost you anything, as compared to a store that may charge you $150 just to try.
  10.   The problem is that is a state-level organization and they're being asked who knows this guy.  If a Catholic was to do the same thing in Chattanooga, do you think the Diocese of Nashville would know them or know that they done this in the name of their religion?   This loonbag thug obviously did it because of religion, everyone knows this.  But an organization has to consider their statements more carefully than you or I, especially when those people trying to start the argument are just looking for any reason to say "hey look, see I told you, all muslims want to do this!".
  11.   Yep that is one area they should never skimp on.
  12.   Not sure what the big deal is with their announcement, they're just distancing themselves from the thug just as any other organization would do, and you left out a very important part of their statement:
  13. What honestly concerns me is that I'm afraid this is going to turn out like the publicity mass shooters get, then we're going to get a rash of copycats falling in behind. Wish they would approach this showing how vile and disgusting the act is instead of turning this guy into a rock star
  14.   Because he didn't use an AR15 to decapitate them.
  15.     So this is how Taco Bell seasons their chicken?
  16.   Shopping there with no membership jacks up the price 10% on everything, so you don't technically have to have a pass, but WalMart pricing will beat most Sam's Club stuff if you add 10% on the cost.
  17. and there of all things... yet we continue to allow it here.
  18.   They're lucky it's only 6 figures
  19. No worries, nothing productive comes out of that town anyways... They can intercept everything without doing any damage.
  20.   Watch the '55 closer, he broke loose (around 1:08) and started sliding towards the other car, then lost it during the correction.    As for the seat belt, those only have a lap band... And the reason a lot of tracks won't let cars that index over a certain speed run without having a 5 point.  Hell, if it was my track if you don't at least have a shoulder and lap band, you wouldn't be allowed to run it.
  21. For the car guys on here... Try not to cry too much over the death of a nice hotrod    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uud7rcwhI5U
  22.   Yeah they do, channel 4 news posted the story with the audio from three or four 911 calls on him while he was walking down the sidewalk   http://www.wsmv.com/clip/10600194/gun-rights-advocate-spotted-outside-metro-school   One guy even refers to him as the "nut he seen on TV" lol
  23.   Not necessarily, both parts are made from different materials or through a different process (slide is probably sintered, sight is probably just cut steel). Heating up the entire thing will cause it to lose the surface tension as the materials expand at different rates then it pops right out.  Had to do this with magnesium and aluminum parts because if you hit that magic point with a torch, it will destroy the part.
  24.   They get it from David here in the vendor forum.
