Now Obama is going to let you pay for Body Cams for Cops
Sam1 replied to DaveTN's topic in General Chat
I'm for tax money going to this. There's a lot more to the story with these edited youtube freedom fighter/anti cop videos and these will make sure another POV is available. M. Brown's case would be a lot different if his thuggery was caught on cam. -
Wow... only 53 emails from Troy Industries this weekend...

Yep, I even got 3 or 4 from doubletap, and they haven't sent me that many in the previous 2 years combined. -
That commercial is on the air here in Nashville.

Actually it would be the opposite... grease and oils from food waste and whatever else down the drain forms a film on the top of the waste that slows down or stops biodegradation completely and it has to be addressed.

for hunting DT makes a great round. nice, heavy and almost 700 ft/lbs http://www.doubletapammo.net/index.php?route=product/product&path=303_301&product_id=40&limit=100

Jonsered is all I will ever own. Used Stihl and Huskies with the forest service felling a bazillion trees and just as with anything else you will get good and bad apples in the bunch, but that's just a manufacturing issue, not a brand issue. The Jonsereds and Huskies are basically the same thing, except for some of the Jonsereds have a faster chain speed (This is the reason I like them, they cut through stuff faster than just about anything else with a comparable chain). Example: the Jonsered 2245 chain speed runs at 65.6 feet per second, while the comparable Huskie 445 only runs at 56 feet per second. Both are generally faster than stihl.

Looks like they just bumped our area up, we had an issue a bit ago that required a reboot and viola 126mb

And against his mother for robbery/assault and against his father for inciting a riot. But do you think they will?
-
And the reason they didn't want to pursue the TM case is because they didn't want the history of the 'little angel' to be made public. I believe this will be a similar circumstance.
-
I do think it matters, because POTUS said he was having DOJ pursue the case further. And as soon as this calms down, be assured there are more suits coming against the cop/police department.

PSA is just awesome to deal with

Exactly! I have debated this before with people and the easiest way to show how an action matters more than anything else, is to take a small spoon and lunge at your dog like you want to attack it. Then take a knife and call your dog over as if you want to play. That will tell you everything you need to know.

No clue what's going on with it, it's pretty obvious the guy is smart, but it's a technical smart, not a smart in policy or how the rest of the world outside of my bubble operates kinda way.

Sarcasm. http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2014/11/26/Carson-Cops-Could-Be-Trained-to-Shoot-For-The-Legs Says Wilson didn't have good enough training, and thinks cops need to be trained to shoot people in the leg when people charge at them. The guy needs to go pick up a gun and show us how well that would work before making statements like that. Those on that Carson '16 bandwagon better tread carefully.

Depends, if I remember on Wolf Creek Dam, they lowered the water substantially, up stream. When it rained they had almost no buffer level (or whatever it was called) limits so they couldn't let anything back up and then slowly leech it out, they were basically dumping everything downstream as it was coming into the lake which caused issues there too. TVA probably won't even know for certain what is going to happen until they locate the problem.
-
Yep, they finally raised it back up to normal winter levels, but most of the people gave up and started going to new lakes over the years.. it really hit the businesses hard, including my brother's boat shop.
-
Hopefully it doesn't last as long as the one back home in KY, they dropped the lake level by about 60 feet and left it down for 5+ years to repair the dam. It was 'seeping' just like they said this one is.

I wouldn't stress about those sites too much because everything you type is cached and stored now.

Best Buy CIncinnati, my first year working, we were giving away some cheap Canon inkjet printer for $25 or whatever it was... Anyways, had a pallet of them, within minutes of the door opening they were all gone except one. Woman and a man go for it, man gets away with it, woman gets pissed off and stabs him with one of her diabetic syringes. Went to jail a few minutes later and was charged for lord knows what over a freaking $25 printer.

Best marketing campaign ever! Outsourced manufacturing to a Chinese company and got Chinese quality. Captain WenPen over there forgot to put sights on the gun and they use it as a marketing ploy to say "with no sights, you don't have to worry about getting a bad sight picture!" This thing is worthy of the Grip Zone stamp!

There's a big difference between backlit and side-lit. LED's have both side and back lit versions, the backlit screens have a much better real-world contrast, especially when it's a dark scene. side-lit is I think normally referred to as edge lit, not actually side-lit... but we're in TN and can call it what we want.

Chip, if you buy open box/used TV's, after the superbowl is the best time hands-down. When I worked at BestBuy in college, people would come in a few days before the superbowl, open a CC account, buy a monster ass TV to impress their buddies with, then they would return it the day after the superbowl. Happened like clockwork every single year. Then the store is full to the brim of used TV's that the managers know work well, and they will negotiate the price more than any other time to get them back out of the store. The normal markup on a TV when I worked there ranged from 25%-40%, as long as they think they can break even, they'll sell it. Don't be afraid to lowball 'em.

I still enjoy the replays of Bill Orielly explaining how he wrote him a check for $25,000 because Sharpton's organization was broke and at the same time Sharpton was badmouthing Orielly.
-
Impossible to say, every situation is different, but we got $1000~ out of a $8,000~ car. Also have to say, the longer you can drag it out, the more willing they are to negotiate with you. We drug ours out for 9 or 10 months without responding to them and they seemed to start getting anxious to close the case. Could be as little as a few hundred $ or as much as a $1k, either way it is money you are entitled to. Also, they will say once the repair has been completed, your car has no diminished value, just stick with the deal that no matter the repair, your car is now worth less because it has a an accident on it. I asked the claims guy if he had two identical cars at the dealership one had been in a wreck and repaired, and the other was never in an accident, both were the same price.. which one he would buy There never was an answer to that one lol.

They don't get on the list because they do good work, they get on the list because they cut the companies the best deal. I get lifetime warranties on cheap Chinese toggle switches bought from eBay, that doesn't mean that it is quality work. Grew up working for my uncle in his body shop, so I've seen it all from years past & from my experience two years ago on our Jaguar, nothing has changed. We ended up taking it to a legit shop I found after the 'awesome' state farm shop did a number to it. It also cost them more than double second time around because they had to undo the first round of repairs. Any shop can be good or bad, but be danged if I take it to one just because they're on a magic list and it's easier, again.
