  1. This brings up another issue I have - charge stacking where the police throw a crap load of charges at someone for the same crime and hope one of them sticks. Why would anyone have 5 charges for "possession of a prohibited weapon"? It's the same thing and shows that they are simply trying to **** the guy over. The entire situation just stinks to high heaven
  2. Yeah, I don't know how to handle those types of settlements but it would be nice if the individuals were responsible instead of the organization. I'm sure there are a lot of good cops there that are going to feel the pinch too, when it was just a handful of people involved.
  3. As always, we don't know what happened before the video starts. But good lord I've never seen someone hit with a taser for so long. I thought the limit was 5 seconds? And to top it off, he tased him right on top of his heart, which I thought was not supposed to happen. Then telling the guy he was going to keep tasing him until his battery runs out. I usually go with the cops before the full video is released, but this one makes it pretty hard considering the guy is already mostly restrained in a chair and even with a bunch of cops there, they just keep zapping him like he's going to spit out gold coins for them. https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a37_1501291461 After digging around a bit, looks like he was arrested on a misdemeanor pot charge, and they tased him 40 times over an 8 hour period. 'supposedly' they are saying the tox reports came back clean after he was sent to the hospital. If this is the case, I hope he owns half of cheatham county by the end of the year.
  4. Well, I can agree with a zero tolerance policy because the law is the law. But if they are jacking up prices for a special event (for lack of a better term), that is not right.
  5. Gotta pay for those multi-million dollar city halls! I'd be interested to know if they are jacking up fines for specific events/days. That should be illegal.
  6. Yep, even when both drivers are at fault, it's almost like the entire incident is thrown at the motorcycle rider.
  7. Don't assume with those peckers out in that part of the state. When I crashed on the dragon, I was going below the ridiculously low speed limit and the cop wrote me for failure to maintain, careless driving, and traveling on the opposite side of a yellow. Well, I was actually sliding across the double yellow on my back before falling off the cliff. Then, to top it off, I was in a medically induced coma at the hospital (with a breathing tube) and he told my ex that I gave him a statement stating I was riding recklessly before the accident (statements of witness contradicted everything he said/did) and that if she didn't sign to accept the ticket that they were going to issue a warrant for my arrest when they woke me up from the coma. So, as soon as someone brings up police/tickets/motorcycles, I don't make any assumptions because for some ungodly known reason, they have a well-known reputation to lie in that part of the state.
  8. Crazy stuff happens in a bike wreck.
  9. Yep! A few $ is irrelevant as long as I'm cool.
  10. capacitors were only running about 15% on both of my units right before winter - thank goodness that I heard some random commercial on the radio and thought to call a local place to have everything checked out. Little $75 service call potentially staved off ruining a motor (or two).
  11. I was up in the air on it. Two things 1) I did love how they FINALLY started pulling the entire show together as far as a battle for the kingdoms, but there was so little action for the first 50 minutes of the show 2) the last 10 minutes were awesome.
  12. Just seen this video making the rounds on facebook - it's about millennials.
  13. Just left the theater, that was an extremely good movie. It was shot in a way like I've never seen another war movie - focused on just surviving a ####ty situation and not on winning a battle. The dog fights/plane scenes were so big that I don't think a normal theater will do them justice, so if you go see it, check out IMAX for certain.
  14. Don't miss that at all, every post theater was terrible compared to the civilian counterparts.
  15. If it wasn't shot in 70mm/IMAX, I wouldn't waste the $ on a theater either. But I think they said at least 75% of the movie was actually shot in that format
  16. I stand corrected. Just drove out to the IMAX - completely sold out. Lady said people were buying tickets for this thing 30 days out. Guess I'll do a Sunday morning or something.
  17. I doubt there will be big crowds, there rarely are for semi-realistic war movies.
  18. High expectations set for this film, IMDB has it at 9.6/10 & rotten tomatoes has it at 95%. Think I may do the show tonight.
  19. I don't venture out often to the theater, but this is definitely one to see in the imax. Anyone else going?
  20. wow ressurection
  21. Looks like you need to pay photobucket $400 so we can see your image
  22. Anyone up on it tonight? Heard my favorite new quote on there: guy 1 asks "why are you always in a foul mood?" guy 2 responds "experience" Explains 90% of the people I associate with lol!
  23. http://www.postimg.io You don't even have to log in to post images/share them.
  24. @Ronald_55 if the boss is making seven figures, it sounds like he may be doing something right. Not many people pull down that kind of dough, I would be talking to the guy asking him what he sees I need to do to start down the path that got him there.
  25. I work from home now, but both my office and the large datacenter I was responsible for up until October were spic and span clean without a single box or part out of place. As an employee, I respected the fact that I owned nothing there and treated it as such. The boss can make as much of a mess as they want, and if they tell me to clean up behind them, I'll do it... they're the boss. Showing that level of effort is one of the reasons I now work from home now. In short, if you want the benefits, clean up the area and address the issue if other people are making the mess. I made some enemies after taking over the datacenter because it was used as a dumping ground for anything electronic, and that ended immediately.
