  1. Don't think I would consider a taser, if something got so out of hand I needed to rely on a taser, it qualifies for an unholstering.   If you're worried about pepper spray in a confined area, just buy the strongest stuff you can find and have someone spray you with it so you know what to expect.  It's not the most pleasant thing, but has nothing on the military grade CS if you've went through the gas chamber.  You can still function when sprayed, what makes it so effective is that the other person doesn't know it's coming or how to deal with it.   I'd rather spray everyone in a 10' radius with pepper spray than lug around a taser the size of a gun that has a chance of not working on the intended threat.
  2.     We always buy new rotors now, because we found a way to get them almost as cheap as having them turned.   Advance auto is almost always running $40 off $100 purchases if you buy them online; we order two on one order and then 2 on a separate order (same account) and viola, brand new rotors for $120.  If the rotors aren't $50, I'll throw something els eon there for later on like some oil or filters to bump it up over the $100 mark.
  3.     I would take that plan to the grave.
  4. As usual police are exempt... If they want to do it, they need to do it across the board.   Then we also need to have liability insurance on stairs with a $10,000 fine per staircase if you don't have it... because they injure many more people than guns
  5.     I switched over to Verizon prepaid & for the whopping price of $50 flat, get 2gb of data (with the autopay thing), hotspot included and I was able to keep the old Verizon phone.  Any verizon phone you currently use, can be switched to prepaid, even if the model isn't listed on their website.   Confusing thing on their website, it says $45/month for 1gb, but it's $50 after taxes and they give a free 1gb of data for doing autopay (after the first month) & you can keep your old number.
  6. Good lord that guy in the truck is lucky he didn't do that to some of the guys I used to ride with.

    damn skunks...

think I'll try to flush it out with some dihydrogen monoxide if it's in the hole then use that little flour trick around the perimeter and see how it's getting through the lattice then fixing that issue.

    damn skunks...

Nogo, where I seen the hole & it last night, is under a raised patio with lattice around and gravel on the ground. Recipe for where not to fire a weapon.
  9. Is there any legitimate way to keep these boogers away without having to trap them?  Read a bit online and most said that repellents don't work, but one of the most effective ones were just a motion sensor light in the area they are coming into.   Found a hole the other day under the patio, filled it back in and didn't think anything of it but a bit ago i seen the dog frolicking through the yard with a skunk so I yelled at it and the skunk took off under the patio.  luckily he was away from the dog when he sprayed.   Anyone use anything that actually works to keep them away other than trapping?
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8nnhUCtcO8   May want to go back to the drawing board on that one!
  11. Their modem/router is a pile of garbage.  It also comes with default settings to share your wifi out as a hotspot.   Send them that garbage back, go to a store a buy a Motorola Surfboard modem and whatever kind of wireless router you want... They make a killing renting people those things, you might as well own a better one for less in the long run.
  12.   And just because I'm right, doesn't make me popular :)
  13. oh lookie, he carries one with an external safety... like the ones I get ostracized on here for saying that's one of my edc requirements.
  14. That's a great feature if so, would love to not have to fumble with the remote at the crack of dawn before actually being awake.
  15.     Never even got close to seeing it until you said something.
  16. That picture is photoshopped, this was what she really looks like . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
  17. Here's a satellite pic of it, sorry can't zoom in any closer: The red part is what I need to address; the front has some 8' hedges for privacy, then down to about 6' on the side away from the house. The back is a small retaining wall that houses a waterfall into a pond, then another retaining wall & there's a minimum of 12' of concrete around the entire thing so no worries about it spreading. There's a large paver stone patio in the middle of that spot with a sidewalk going to the pond and one of the worries about doing dirt/grass was digging up the side near the stones and making that unstable - don't want that to erode and the bricks start sliding around on the edge. (that was why I was just going to do weedblock & rock of some sort. Would be awesome if I could just dump some dirt on it and grow grass, because removing the rest of that mulch is gonna suck... then hauling in more dirt to level it back off. And as you can imagine, not knowing anything about landscaping helps out dramatically!
  18. It's in full sun most of the day, bermuda is the short stuff, right?
  19. So when is the best time to seed something?  Or does it depend on the type of grass?   Sorry for the silly questions but I've never done anything other than maintenance kinda work on the yard.
  20.   get rid of it up there no one will pay for any kind of 'compliant' weapon around here because then they'll just have to work on it and undo all of the fuckery that has been done or pay someone else to do it when they can get the normal model anywhere around here.
  21.     Yep!  nothing like getting a head shot on every one of the people carrying.
  22. A lot better than those idiots.  I would think most of our interactions around here would be more like this:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4C07cqFivuo   And those people in that classroom need to stick to their airsoft & computer gaming.
  23. Make sure to take a shower when you arrive, we don't want anything contagious coming in from that place.   Outside of that, hope everything works and you'll be warmly welcomed down here!
  24. Why is it never easy??!   Guess that project is turning into an all summer long thing. dangit   Rubber mulch should be banned.
  25. This is pretty freaking cool!   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCgmfbAbP-Q
