I hate leases, they suck. but at $70/month I would be in one at the blink of an eye!

Just seen the funniest thing at Walmart here in Fairview. So when the rebel flag thing came about, this dude in an old redneck 4wd put a 3x5' rebel flag and a 3x5' american flag in the back. This MIA flag came up in the news, so when I seen the truck a few minutes ago, he took out the american flag and replace it with an MIA flag lol.

Need to call him, he almost always answers his cell. I don't think he is online too much. Met with him yesterday on an issue I had with my ATI fatboy, last year he took out all the junk and replaced the internals with solid hardened parts. After putting a few thousand rounds through the gun I had an issue with the sear a few months back - and note this has been a year + a ton of rounds shot through it. He figured out what the problem was, re-machined a new sear and fixed the problem for free. He said all of his work is warrantied for life. Never heard of any other person giving lifetime warranties on gun work. I think I'm going to have him build a custom gun for me too after seeing what he was machining yesterday. Had no clue he was as deep into the science of 1911's as he is.

Navy vet died at a VA hospital in KY on 7/29, no one came forward to claim his remains. His name was Don Kaas. Funeral home director sent out a message on FB Tuesday afternoon saying it's a shame no one was with him when he passed, and that he wished people would attend the burial today to pay respects that the vet deserved. In less than 48 hours people put together a burial with full honors & a chinook flyover, not just a couple, but multiple hundreds of people dropped what they were doing in the middle of the work week to show up. http://www.wlky.com/news/hundreds-gather-to-remember-fallen-veteran/34695344 https://www.facebook.com/lex18/videos/10153589715568447/?pnref=story

Public Service Annoucement - Check Your Cell Numbers BEFORE Texting
Sam1 replied to CommsNBombs's topic in General Chat
I would have sent her a text message and said "sorry about sending that pic to the wrong number, I guess it's a good thing I didn't send this pic on accident" with this attachment -
It's impossible to describe the level of worry that occurs when you start having heart issues, and it's frustrating when it seems that the doctors don't understand how important those issues are to you. You're going to have to consciously work at staying positive or you'll end up being miserable the entire time they diagnose & fix you. I'm sure Jab & every other person here that has dealt with cardiac problems would agree. Keep your head high and us updated!

And that is how the iRobot Roomba came to fruition.

The lack of thermal footprint planning is great in this one. - yoda.

They're also made for IT people that don't want to come home from work and work on their own computers all night.

We have a ton of wolf spiders around, I think they do a good job of keeping the brown recluses away, been here 3 years and only seen one. I started putting glue traps out in the garage just to see what kind of critters are around. So far that have caught 2 birds, a vole, a bunch of weird beetles, a ton of wolf spiders, at least 1 lizard per week. The strange thing I've noticed is that the glue traps come with different designs on them, certain bugs seem to be attracted to specific designs (I always lay them flat open, never fold them into a box). Strangest thing.

googled it, looks like that's what it was. Was making a pretty elaborate web, too bad it didn't have the correct building permits to do so on my patio.
-
Anyone know what this is? It was about 1-1.5" anchored a web spanning at least 15' and then started building the web itself about 1' in diameter. anchor part of the web was so thick I walked into it and it didn't even break. The only kind of spiders I don't mind are wolf spiders, so this one is no longer a resident of the property. But was still curious on what it was, haven't seen anything that big around here before outside of the wolf spiders. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOLZNwxwDOo&feature=youtu.be

Need to start from scratch and clean the disk again. You have to select the non-uefi cdrom/install from the boot menu or it will revert to GPT every time.
-
UEFI causes some issues - I don't like it. This should get it fixed by using an MBR instead of GPT: After doing that, reboot to your windows cd - use the boot menu (usually press f11 on most systems at boot and it will open) and select the non- uefi drive that your cd is in, then go through a normal install. If you do not select the non-uefi, the system may try to revert back to GPT and cause issues. EDIT: to add, I think if you can't get to a repair screen, when you get to the install windows screen from the boot cd, you can press f12 and a cmd prompt will open. It may be a different key, not 100% on that, it's been a while since I've had to do this. Someone else here may know for sure.

I was completely wrong on this one, first question out of Megan Kelly's mouth was pretty rough.

News won't go after him, he's embedded with them too deep. Even the liberal outlets haven't zoned in on him like they have the other candidates.

I think this is a pretty legit plan, it's as close to a flat tax as we would ever see. Makes the poor old helpless professional victims feel like they are making out paying 1% while those mean old corporations have to dish out 15 times that amount.
-
I don't know man, if Trump plays that 1-5-10-15 tax plan that most of us never heard of, people will be jumping onboard faster than the ship can stay afloat. He could have Biden as the VP and I would still vote for him with that plan.
-
I would definitely concur with that being a possibility, as long as it was someone that understands policy as the pres. like Walker, Paul, Cruz or Jindal. Trump + Fiorina would be a no bueno in my book.

The only thing I liked that she said is that she wanted to give Jordan money to buy bombs and ammo with.

this one? was the first thing that popped up on google

Just like a high quality German beer, M1's ALWAYS travel in packs of at least 4 :) So yes, there's one for you too.

I try to be as informed as reasonably possible so I suffered through that first debate with the minor leaguers. Here's the rundown: Rick Perry is talking about the same exact thing he was in 2008, he even stammers exactly like back then - 12th largest economy in the world, we secured the Texas border etc. Changing every question back to his same few talking points, no matter where it started off at. Rick Santorum is saying the same thing - I can get things done, I'm different, politicians in Washington don't do anything, but I did a lot, but can't remember anything specific. Carly Firorina - Tried to tie Trump to funding Hillary Clinton's campaign and said she called him to congratulate him on his choice for running. Bragged about how many world leaders she knows and that she was in charge of HP. Bobby Jindal - on the fence about him, he didn't really go after anyone or say anything notable. Got flustered when the moderator asked him what he thought about Clinton beating him in his own state on the latest polls. George Pataki - pretty irrelevant from the start, said he will get everyone working together because he did it in NY. Said he's pro-choice but is catholic and believes life begins at conception. Jim GIlmore - said he was elected governor, and held a position on advisory panels, so that means he will get elected to president. Hopefully he falls off the scoreboard soon, seems annoying. Lindsey Gramnesty - our favorite! He was talking with sadness like his dog just died today, and with a cadence like a robot. Sounded like a baritone version of Hillary. He knows everything about ISIS and his new slogan that was used about 10 times was "whatever it takes, as long as it takes". I think that's going to be like Herman Cain's 999 plan. Truncated, but that was about all that happened. It was almost sort of sad watching it, there were a total of about 2 dozen people in the arena watching it, and probably about the same number of viewers on TV.
