  1. Would love to have a self driving car, that would free up an entire hour every day to do homework instead of me having to pay attention to the road.
  2. So the guy was in a car doing burnouts and speeding, the driver lost control, wrecked, and it's Porsche's fault?   Guess the auto manufacturers are about to start getting a taste of what the gun industry faces on a regular basis.   https://celebrity.yahoo.com/news/paul-walker-s-daughter-sues-porsche--he-was-burned-alive-232042201.html
  3. I gave up on photosucket a while back. Postimage.org is a straightforward upload and direct links provided, no frills storage. Or you can use it anonymously without aN account.
  4.   Problem is that he doesn't want to risk part of that rod coming out crooked and damaging the rifling.
  5. Looks like the thread is an m10 x 0.75 pitch.  Having a crazy hard time finding one in that size, everything is m10 x 1.0
  6. Hattie B's for some good hot chicken, The Southern for awesome steaks, Demo's for great & cheap Italian family style restaurant.  Just walk around and look at things, most of the stuff is within walking distance if you stay downtown.     Hattie B's is a must though if you like hot chicken.   Almost forgot, Jack's BBQ is also on the top of the list.
  7. Watched an episode of Vice last night on HBO with POTUS in a federal prison talking to inmates about mandatory minimums, pleading out and their situation in general.   Was one of the most respectable moments I've seen of him in 6 years. Story led into what happens after prison and precisely the situation that the guy in this video ended up in.  People fuck up sometimes and now they are punished for life.  POTUS brought up that thing about people not being able to ask if you were a criminal on applications, but allowing it during an interview, because most ex-cons are shut out of the opportunity from the get go as soon as they check off that box on the application.  At least this way, they have a chance to explain during an interview.

I would love to accept your thanks, but do not believe it was directed towards me :P
  9. Don't be sorry about the wife thing, it's consensual and we're both better off.  Only get one shot at this thing called life, no reason to make each other miserable when we can both be happy doing other things.   Concerning the gun however, I thank you for your condolences :)
  10. Wife said her P238 disappeared  SN: 27A157187 last week.  She filed a police report, I'm still waiting to get a copy of it.  It's hard to miss, 2a coated the thing bright pink & it looks like this if anyone happens to see one floating around on the gun sites.  Had it coated bright because she misplaces everything and I wanted this to be easy to see.  Guess that was a failed effort.   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/85362-wifes-p238-turned-up-pink/   She moved out about 6 months ago and I have no clue what her arrangements are now, if the gun was lost, stolen or wtf happened to it.  I just mentioned that I need a copy of the police report, or I'd file one myself since I purchased it and have all the paperwork.  Don't want to think that something I bought could be used in a bad way and it wasn't reported.   Could honestly care less about getting it back, I'm more concerned that it doesn't fall into the hands of someone who shouldn't have one.
  11. I would've jumped on top of the bully and did the "You got knocked the F*** out!" thing.  Punching a blind kid, wtf.   All fighting equal my ass, this just goes to show this school stupidity thing we talk about in so many threads.  If that happened at our high school, that kid would have got an ovation when he walked in the next day, from teachers and students.
  12.   But it's newer!   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdRMVhlNP5I
  13.     Same deal I use, advance always has a $40 off $100 coupon floating around somewhere.  And if you get lucky, sometimes you can catch the $50 off $100 ones.  The only thing they won't discount is oil.   For brakes/rotors, I get the front set on one order and use the $40 off coupon, then place a second order for the rear set and usually throw a couple items on there (the pads) to push it over $100 and use the $40 off again.  Can get a full set of rotors and pads for $120-$150.  Cheaper than getting them turned
  14.   There's more than just a few people on the left expressing their opinions.  It takes more than a singular, or a few hundred emails to a corporate entity to even be a blip on the radar.  Sending an email to them would be as useful as sending one to Sen. Alexander's office asking him to be more conservative.   That's why I suggested using the cards and getting the opportunity to have a discussion, even if short, in person.   Take this forum for example, if someone doesn't like another's posts, they skim/skip and ignore them.  But when we have those meet & greets, you pay closer attention to the person speaking, even if they're spewing the same information.
  15.     The worst thing going right now is the standoff between the fed and wallstreet.  The investors keep jacking stuff around to spook the fed into keeping interest rates low, and the fed keeps waiting for the "perfect time" to raise rates (that will never exist).  The market is somewhat predictable at times, but right now the only time you know if it's going up or down is when the fed threatens to raise interest rates, then says they will wait.
  16.   Figured you would have been able to use your skills and fabricate a new part from concrete chips, bubble gum and your helmet strap.
  17. Didn't Barclays just come out a few days ago and say we were about to hit a massive downtrend to rival, if not pass the 2008 drop?   Not sure I would be buying in right now, but don't take stock advice from me.
  18. Raildog, it's not mine, but I would love to have one too.
  19. Emails are easily trashed.  Print out some of the anti-gun business cards and hand them over in person when you walk out.  It's carries more weight if you address the issue in person.
  20. going to try the grease gun thing, but not sure what local stores sale zerk fittings.  Lowe's had a few different ones but the threads didn't match up.
  21.   Yeah, however the one thing going for him is that he used to be openly pro-abortion and is openly pro-life now.  Views change on things over time, so it is believable.  However, sometimes it's called evolution, sometimes it called lying.
  22. thanks TNWNGR that grease gun thing is a brilliant idea.  going to give it a shot.   The air didn't work (didn't think it would) cause if it was stuck in there good enough to break off the rod, a few hundred psi isn't going to make it budge.
  23.     You think that would work?  I gotta go try it just for grins, not sure if 140 psi would do much though, that's all my compressor has.
