Important lesson here; story is on the page with the video. Bystander intervenes during the attack, shoots the guy once and waits and shoots and waits, the guy is down for a bit but then lunges at them with the machete again, then gets up a second time. When some thug presents a threat that warrants an unholster, better put an immediate and full stop to that threat and not a half-assed one. https://www.funker530.com/multiple-terror-attacks-against-israelis-caught-on-cam/

Stamped that they expire on 12/31, they may cater to you if you ask, worst case scenario you could give them to someone on your flight.

Have 4 free booze tickets for Southwest that expire Dec 31 & I don't plan on flying any more this year. If anyone wants them just let me know and I'll toss 'em in the mail.

Haven't been to that specific one, but if it's like the ones around here, they allow kids of any age in there, unless it's on a tasting tour. There are normally two types of tours - the free ones, then the ones you pay a few bucks for and get to try out the goods after the tour - but it's such a small amount that the tasting tours are a waste of $ IMHO.

They're no longer chips, now they're using microbots. Got mine too.

Dang, I could've shaved 10 hours off the prep time with this stuff!
-
The sod part was easy, it took maybe 4 hours total to lay and roll it. The cleanup, raking and tilling and raking and raking and... took about 20 hours. I would recommend everyone do their own if you can suffer through the prep work

Yeah, the first year early we paid $4.50 for a 40# bag by the pallet from a local place. When we seen how fast you burn through them, found out in January the price went to $7/bag from the same place. She would go through 2 pallets a year with that fireplace as the primary heat (electric baseboard heaters as secondary) in probably around a 1200 sqft house.
-
And also you have to stockpile them during the summer, price doubles on pellets during the cold season. We found that out the hard way after installing one for my grandma. <edit> wouldn't say they actually double, but they will go up at least $2/bag when they know people are desperate.

That was my two liter bottle of go juice.

After a $1700 estimate for doing the whole thing, then a $750 estimate for everything being prepped (the hard part of the job) and coming to lay sod only, I just done the stuff myself. $195 for 675 sqft of sod $20 for some fertilizer and viola. Putting the extra $500 towards a Calhoun pistol, so in the end, glad I sucked it up and finished everything myself.

The only mortal sin I know of in the bible is to denounce Jesus. Edit... sorry, posted before scrolling the rest of the way down.

Never figured it out myself, maybe if an AR15 was required to abort babies, the left would mandate one in every household. The hypocrisy is beyond full-retard.

Any updates on the shooter?

First episode was pretty good, it's been a long time since there has been a series that is nearly an action movie in itself during an episode.

Just got an email from Freedom, they're having a sale today, they have 10% off all 9mm ammo + free shipping if you are a first time customer. That makes the 1000 reman $170 shipped & 1000 new $188 shipped. No coupon needed
-
Freedom has 9mm/1k new ammo for under $220 shipped or reman for under $200 shipped

And he has yet to say a peep about the soldiers that just died in the c130 crash. I think he is going to go full throttle on this one, knowing he missed out on Sandy Hook, getting towards the end of his term too. More info needs to be leaked to fight off the barrage that is about to come towards us. I think they're going to try and act quickly before the full story gets out.

Did just read that one of the Americans that stopped the terrorist on the train in France attends this college. Wonder if it was a retaliatory thing (lone wolf, not some massive op)?

Not sure if any of you all follow this guy's videos but they are hilarious. Here's his latest: ***LANGUAGE WARNING*** https://www.facebook.com/ozzymanreviews/videos/937614109607790/?pnref=story

At the new job we had the best active shooter training I've been to. No one can carry, but we're lucky enough to have at least half a dozen police in the building, with dozens more less than 500 feet away in another building. Anyways... The chief is big into studying these types of incidents and during the training he told us a few things that go against the silliness that are normally taught: 1. GTFO of the building ASAP, out a window, out a door out a wall or whatever it takes. 2. Don't stop for anyone, even the injured in the halls on your way out. These shooters always go for groups of people over individuals and you just put both your lives at a greater risk by stopping. 3. If you're wth a group of people and see the shooter and feel the need to act, make sure you are 100% committed and 100% on the same page, willing to follow it through even if it means killing them (just like the 9/11 badasses on flight 93) 4. Barricade yourself in a room as a last resort, then they showed us how to use a belt or other things to jam up a door that can't be locked - that was pretty interesting and worked. 5. Most importantly, while you are running to get out of the building, do not carry anything and make sure your hands can be easily seen, especially if you're coming around corners. He followed up with the leaving injured people thing saying that they are training paramedics to come through with police and treat victims as they clear the building. So don't worry about them.
-
I just hope we don't go too far down the rabbit hole on this one, the conspiracy shit gets more annoying than the libtard antigunners. Would have given anything to be in that room when he lined those people up, he would have had a knife through his throat or I would've had a bullet in the face, but be damned if I would have lined up like cattle and be willingly shot. Wish one person in there was illegally carrying and took the guy out before he was able to get a round off. That is the only way this story would've ended well.

Getting broken cleaning rod tip out of black powder barrel
Sam1 replied to Sam1's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
air compressor should blow most of it out, or worst case scenario just use a rod and push it back out the way it came in. Grainger doesn't have it, haven't been able to find anyone who can get something it's just some weird size that no one in the world used except in Spain, for a short time, apparently. I couldn't even find a thread adapter to go from m10 x 0.75 to m6 x 0.75 to use a standard fitting. All is lost on this effort I do believe, throwing in the towel and taking it to a smith. -
Had to look that up. If this thing actually worked, it would be well worth the $5k price tag. Said usage was estimated at 56kwh per month on 1.5 acres, but I would have to see one in person running on real country yards and not sod or turf of some sort.
