  1. Thanks Pete, would be interested to hear your feedback after a week or so of use. Mostly how it feels when you're driving.
  2. Congrats, the look on the dog's face to the left says it's already on duty.
  3.   Not much into the JD, go to their distillery and it will burn the hairs off your nose.  Then go to the George Dickel distillery and it barely smells at all.  It's all about quantity at JD and that's it.  Their other lines just sell because of the branding.
  4.   That's the way I see it; the golden rule.  This isn't a situation where they are going door to door asking for serial numbers, it is simply a courtesy and may save your ass if something goes haywire with the stop.  What happens if they run your plates or ID and make a mistake, name came back for a felony stop or something... then you go to get out of the car and your gun prints or see it between the seat or whatever.  That's a bad situation.   Stuff happens and the police make mistakes too, you can do as you wish, but any time they pull me over I tell them I'm carrying and the worst thing that has happened many moons ago was one ask me to keep my hands on the steering wheel as he went back to run the numbers.
  5. Fantastic TV show for those who like WWII / post war era movies.  Short version of the plot - starts in 1962 in America, but the Germans dropped an atomic bomb on Washington DC and won the war, split the USA in half between the German's on the east coast and gave the west coast to the Japanese.  Middle is free zone. People trying to get together to start an uprising and take back the country.  Only seen the first two episodes, rest isn't available until later this month.   Link to watch the first episode for free on Amazon:   https://www.amazon.com/The-Man-In-High-Castle/dp/B00RSGIVVO?_encoding=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0   Not sure how it will play out, but the first two episodes start off pretty good.
  6. Anyone have one of thesE:   http://urbancarryholsters.com/holsters-38/original-urban-carry.html   If so, what's your opinion on them?  I do use another one to appendix carry at times, and was looking for something more comfy.
  7. Ok so the mattress companies own the organization that you have to pay a tax to that recycle your mattress parts and sell back to you. Mattress industry is ran by a genius
  8. That thing looks a lot older than from 2002.
  9. Congrats man, that's a hefty pay raise in these times.  Rarely hear of one that large happening any more.
  10. That's definitely a first.
  11.   Don't know about Comcast itself, but the localized cell broadcast system is pretty cool as far as technology is concerned.  Did a paper on it a few years back, what kicked off the interest in it was the big tsunami incident.  There was a lot of cell coverage in the remote areas, but no other mass communication system; could have saved tens of thousands of people.
  12. those alerts scare the sh*t out of me.  Deep in some homework or something and BRRRRRBEEEEEBIIIBRRRBEEEEEEEE like Noah is sending a text message telling me to hurry and get on the ark.   Hopefully they don't start burning people out on them, not suggesting these are not serious concerns, but just from the frequency of occurrence.
  13. You know someone had to do it.
  14. facts are irrelevant.  I am trying to get people to go vote. :)
  15. 3,000,000 other people said the same thing in 2012 and now they're complaining because of what is going on.
  16.   Solution: site wide ugly Christmas sweater contest, $50 donated to the winner's LEGIT charity of choice.    Dig out the OG stuff from the 70's and 80's, I know you guys got 'em  Family pics get bonus points.
  17.   Don't think I'm a fan at all of him or his policies, but if I owned a garden, I'd rather have a bucket full of manure than horse piss.
  18. They should have got a sharpie and wrote a serial number on it.
  19. He said from the beginning that program would not work and was not designed to work on a national level. People seem to forget that part.
  20. I don't think it's a big deal to tell them, and do. Seen a video online where a ccl didn't tell them, they got out of the vehicle, gun showed in the belt and cop overreacted and situation escalated in 0.5 seconds. Just don't see it as a big deal, cops already have enough stuff going through their minds, openly informing them checks two boxes off the list 1. You do have a gun 2. You were open/honest about it.
  21. This would have had a better chance of not existing if people would've got over their "Romney isn't conservative enough" flu.  Not conservative enough is much better than what is happening now.   People better get off their asses this time and go vote and it doesn't matter who is on the ticket.
  22. Don't need to ban all knives, just the ones that can be used over and over again.
  23. Thanks for looking out, but I can't take on anything extra at the moment. Too many uncertainties going on for the next bit.
  24.   Yeah that's crazy, my wife got 4 tickets within 12 months and never stepped foot in court.  Just did traffic school and driving probation.  Davidson/Williamson county just require you to log onto their website and sign up for online school.  Think the last one they made her attend an actual class though, but still never went to court.  Nothing went on the record.
