  1.   That's an awesome deal!
  2. 39.6%
  3. Baby came in this afternoon - going to switch up the steps.  Starting paperwork now, submitting tomorrow and then wasting ammo.
  4. in addition to Lipscomb is Capellla, that's who I used for my Masters and now on the PhD.  One of the few online schools that have legit regional accreditation through multiple doctoral level programs.  I cannot speak to their undergrad though, but if it is similar, it's pretty decent.   They also give a 10% discount for vets the entire time you go, and have plenty of people to help you get the GI bill benefits sorted out.  They also give out scholarships to vets like crazy, so far I've received $15,000 in scholarships directly from the school for the sole reason of being a vet.  Not sure how much Lipscomb charges, but take into consideration the scholarships from Capella if you compare them. As long as you have good grades, you're pretty much guaranteed to get some at some point.
  5.   No biggie - stock is out of my possession and the gun is delivered tomorrow! now on to the mess with a decision on the can.
  6.     WGU sucked.  I did them for a year.  It's for people that like certification based learning; pass-fail based on one exam.  I personally like the opportunity to submit dozens of assignments and the grade be buffered out if there is a bad day and not fail the entire class.
  7. Yeah I told the OP not to get upset, and that they were going to tell him no before knowing anything about him or his history.  Just don't let them bring the anger out because they will shut you down quick, and at that point, they will win.   Instead be polite and insist on talking to the site managers, have all the documentation ready and ask them questions to show how he does not qualify, then go to the local gun forum and vent your frustrations about the POS people you just spent the day dealing with that almost caused you to have an aneurysm.   :)
  8.   Printed off documents, went to multiple places and finally talked to the right person.  The DMV slugs are basing their decision off of what they have been told by a coworker that had bad information and that has propagated through the entire system and at this point I doubt they will ever fix it.  Mentioned to the OP that if I had to, I would walk in there with a lawyer if necessary just to prove the point...   The law says "permanent resident" and USCIS even states it on their everify site: https://e-verify.uscis.gov/esp/help/evhelppermrescardnumber.htm     It even describes what the card looks like for idiots that can't tell the difference between that and an EBT.   Just because it has a different expiration date, doesn't make it invalid.
  9.   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/55267-hcp-laws-for-permanent-residents/ Been there, done that, got the t-shirt HCP
  10. Already been down the road, mentioned what to do in PM.  I know you are looking for an easier black and white answer, but the only way to handle this is how I said - also exactly what OS posted there, except he gave contact info.   <edit> As previously stated the DMV slugs will continue to refuse to accept your application until you show them otherwise.  It's not up to them to decide on who can apply or not, their job is to process the application.  They believe they are the gatekeepers and will continue to think so until you correct them.
  11. Thanks for the info on that, the adapters were expected, my boss warned me about that part last week.  I was more concerned with getting the can itself and registering it before any changes are made to the trusts.  After seeing that hybrid that ranges from 9mm + .308 I am going to get it.  The only other caliber I want is .45 which would go on my pistols and I may get a dedicated can for those.  Largest focus is the MP5 stuff at the moment, the pistol cans can wait until later... Figured I've never used one in nearly 40 years, so it's no rush.  However, the MP5 thing is just a straight up don't need, but always wanted thing and had the extra funds around so I'm going full-throttle :D
  12.   Yep, even on a ship.  Things have changed massively just in the past few years.  The majority of the control measures or policies are implemented at the agency level (DoD) and the ship or site only manage the hardware.
  13.   That won't happen any more.  OIG runs the show when it comes to logging policies and if someone clears any of them, it will notify an entire group of people of who done what.  He would have a better chance of flying under the radar and hitting 50 sites before he would hitting one site and having someone clear the logs.   <edit> misread your post - thought you meant have someone clearing his history logs.  But the same applies to blocking policies as well, any modifications to system policies are monitored by automated systems and send alerts to the security groups (usually the same people listed above).
  14. good point, thanks.   To nightrunner, if this can go on my rifle and mp5, that's worth the size difference and not using it on a pistol.  Also on the silencerco FB page, someone was saying they've already ordered one from a dealer, but I checked and that specific place is out of stock now.
  15. I'm not familiar with the sites that sell suppressors - looked around and cannot find anyone that says the silincerco hybrid was in stock.  If anyone can find that for me, I would greatly appreciate it.  Want to just order one of them.  Would prefer for out of state to save on sales tax, but will do local if it's reasonably priced.
  16. says the source is a conspiracy website:  http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index1979.htm
  17. Will definitely be interested in .45 on my composite guns (not messing with the 1911s). Someone mentioned the octane 45 in a pm, so I checked it out, looks ok but for $100 more, that company offers one called a hybrid that if I read right, will even work on my ar10 and puts 9mm in the 125db range. Do you know much about those?
  18. ok so got that 9mm mp5 on the way and was going to wait until it was SBRd before finding a suppressor but with all the hoopla going on with trusts, I want to go ahead and order it now.  The gun has a 1/2" x 28 threaded barrel with a 3 lug quick attachment (not sure what the 3 lug thing means).   I seen that there are some multi-caliber suppressors around, and it would be great if there was a decent one that would do 9mm & 45, but if there is a massive difference in noise reduction, I would rather get a dedicated 9mm one for this gun.   Can anyone point me in the direction to get started on the hunt?  And what kind of differences in we're looking at for multi-caliber suppressors as compared to single.
  19.   Until you have blood on your hands and the biometric reader won't pick up a fingerprint, but then it's ok because the victim is too stupid to use one anyways and it would probably be taken from them and used to shoot their children.
  20. They were screening the questions, I think she took advantage of the situation and changed it.  Could you imagine what would have happened if they cut her off in the middle?  If you watch him, you can see he's getting frustrated because that was one of the most articulate throat punches he has suffered in front of the camera by someone who couldn't be just written off as a right wing conspiracy theorist profiting from the NRA.   The NRA didn't show up because they said they would only be allowed to ask a single pre-screened question, so I know for sure they were screening.
  21. getting a 404 error on chat, is it just me or everyone?  tried two different browsers.
  22. Don't complain too much, it's $20 in Indiana
  23. He needs to dump youtube and move to full30.com and be done with the mess.  They would give that guy a channel in a second.
  24.   Not to take the OP off-topic, but this issue brings a bit of the conspiracy theorist out in me.  There is no way possible everyone selling could have an full-on FFL, so how do they solve this issue?  Create a new category of license that is used for limited personal sales only, viola... the registry exists now.
  25.   run through Chip here on the board, he said he has helped a few people get them.  May also be good to keep him as a resource if you plan on running that business... lawyers are sorta handy at times.
