None of them are running metal detectors that I know of. Just searching women's bags to make sure they're not sneaking in food/drinks. The other day at star wars I had a hoodie on and there was no issue bringing in 2 cans of seltzer water and a pack of pop tarts :P

I don't think extra days should benefit anyone that is in the country and medically able to make it to the polls. everyone knows a year in advance when the election is (and 4 years for president), if they don't think that the election is important enough to schedule around it, then don't vote.

I rarely sell them, think the last thing I sold was a glock because, well.. it was a glock. People told me I couldn't talk garbage about them until I had one, so I did and it was garbage. Most of my guns are lost in boating accidents shortly after purchase. I have the darndest luck out on the lake.

May pop into the theater and check it out tomorrow in the morning.

Guns & Leather discusses Internet tax loophole

Yeah the inventory thing is a big deal, but it would take a shop the size of the VW plant to have enough weapons to satisfy all spur of the moment purchases. -

agree totally. I don't think it happens as much as people think (as far as fondling guns then ordering online). It usually happens exactly like you say, the gun store doesn't have what you actually want in stock, so you order it online and transfer it to them. Then they get $25 for filling out a paper, which is sometimes what they profit on a cheap gun transaction itself. Local stores don't like it because before big online stores they had no competition so they could squeeze people for more money, and that goes for any product. I believe Mark's statement applies to non-firearms related products more so than to LGS. -
personal opinion, I think early voting should be killed, with an exception for medical situations and deployed military members.

Guns & Leather discusses Internet tax loophole

Some gun stores scheme every penny out of people they can, others will work with the customers. Just like in Franklin after Sandy Hook, when they were going to walmart and buying up all the ARs just to double the price and resell them in their store. That kind of stuff leaves a bad taste in people's mouths and I don't think any tequila or mouthwash will make it go away. When stores refuse to step off of MSRP because people continue to pay it, smart shoppers will go online. I would say very few people spend $20 of gas and 2-3 hours of time driving to a shop just to handle a $500 gun then run off and buy it online to save $50 in taxes then pay $35 for a transfer. It just doesn't happen. Now if the brick and mortar stores could figure out ways to be more competitive with pricing, or be more willing to work with customers the benefits of buying online would be diminished. -

Why waste the money, I'll give you the best financial advice you can have for free: Buy high & sell low. People will stop bothering you quickly.

That video was funny as hell - especially the part when she said she was drunk one night (around Christmas time), was walking her kid in the park the next day and noticed on her phone she had emailed a family here in Nashville and gave them tickets to a sold out concert and didn't even remember doing it. :bowrofl: Not only is she a great singer, that story makes me like her more.

lack of enforcement is due to the expense/scope it would require to implement and manage. -
Well apparently my cousin cashed in a cool $50k on a ticket up in KY. Since I haven't seen or talked to her for more than 20 years, do you all think it would be ok to call up and see if I can "borrow" some money? :D

Unfortunately the market is so saturated with certifications and people with degrees from cracker jack schools that the statement is partially true.

Seen that but it looks like she has already had the fund pulled down after hitting the 'spotlight'. That usually makes everyone scatter.

Imported by the Bilderberg group.

Ted is on hiatus, Kroger had a special on tin foil last week and he is making spare hats in the bunker.

I'm up in the air about a leadership position; if anything I would excel in a CTO position and need massive experience to even consider a CIO role. The technical stuff is what I love to do, the management aspect not so much. Had one management job after getting out of the military and it is HARD to adjust. Gave up all hope after that one and said it would only happen again under very specific circumstances. Have to be nice to people and stuff in the civilian sector, like they are doing you a favor just by showing up to work and that didn't compute lol. Traffic will be terrible. It is always bad during rush hour, if you need to be somewhere downtown at 7:30, be in town by 7am... anything after 7am outside the city limits and you'll need holy water to bless yourself and a bottle of xanax to calm down before you get to your destination.

thread on it in the feedback area - technical issue so David disabled it temporarily. No estimated resolution time. I've had to resort to FB for chatting, don't like it.. But crap happens.

Yeah it's one of those things that isn't critical, but now that it's unavailable, by dangit it's CRITICAL!

I wouldn't downplay a CISSP cert, but it has it's place in the career of an IT guy/gal. You should focus on the core functions of IT and build your way up to things like that. The best way I can describe it is by being a big red button pusher. We all have people that we work with that show up to press a big red button, they have done it for 20 years and they can press the button more efficiently than anyone else in the company. But when that button breaks, they don't know what to do because they don't understand what the button does when they press it or how it works. Be the guy/gal that gets hired on to be the big red button pusher that gets the job, knows how to press the button, knows what parts the button are made out of, what happens when you press the button and how to fix the button when it doesn't work. Without understanding the fundamentals, those higher-level certifications are almost useless. But with understanding of fundamentals, the certifications will turn you into a surgeon.
