  1.   I would say practical application could be an active shooter scenario in a building, a lot of doors don't lock.  However, I don't foresee myself carrying one of these around all the time when it would be needed lol
  2. does have a limited use, but that is pretty cool contraption.
  3. Eat it.  full report requested.

  5. Binge watched this a few weeks ago, it was brilliant from the defense team and a hit for netflix.  Half the people in the country are talking about it.   Now, look at the bigger picture - how long before the Treyvon defense team, or a new series called "Ferguson" comes out and omits half the facts?  I don't think this concept is going to end well.  Unfortunately there is a lack of comprehension that exists with the general public that tells them there may be more to a story than what is covered by an overly-biased docudrama.

    SNOW!!

Funny you would mention that, I was going through some old containers in the basement looking for my gortex coat and found my PT jacket in there as well.  I thought wow I haven't had this thing on in over ten years... lets do this.  Instantly after picking it up I remembered the crunchy, terrible feeling and lack of protection from the cold that it provided and just put it back in the box.  Will try again in 10 more years and see what happens.   The old PT sweats may not have looked as cool, but at least they served a purpose.   However - credit goes to the people that made the army PT shirts.  I've got a few that have been worn on a regular basis since 2001 and they still look brand new.  They're great at wicking away sweat in the summer.
  7. Now if we could just send some intimidating people in flight suits toting weapons confiscating bikes as they come across the border...

Good looking out, at least he has his PT belt.

    SNOW!!

There are not enough number combinations on a keyboard hat could count the number of dumb drivers I seen on the roads today.

    SNOW!!

I know you're more of a traditional kind guy, but have you seen the new rubber chains (for lack of a better term)?  I thought they were pretty interesting - they appear to work great in snow but I would think they would get torn up off-road in the mud.

    SNOW!!

It hasn't reached me here yet and I'm already tired of it.
  12. That dude is lucky, hopefully he's not hurt too bad.
  13. 50 bmg is an anti-material weapon, so yes, it would be designed to take out helicopters.   The problem you have is that it would probably need to be on the ground, loaded with fuel and running to have a chance at doing major damage.
  14. Not a police dog, but this one is pretty slick too!   https://www.facebook.com/shakey.nz/videos/10207421986323377/
  15. That is a cool looking rifle!
  16.     This is what Chip sent, it's form 1's for dummies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRbsltM3jyU or if you want pics:   http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_17/441796_Visual_guide__How_to_fill_out_a_Form_1_using_EFORMS__New_Thread_.html
  17. Here's a cool one that I didn't know existed until a few minutes ago (hate gunbroker, always come off there wanting to buy more toys) http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=537330434
  18. There are plenty of plenty of places to put it, lots of people already been to that circus and posted ideas online.  My thing was that I wanted the specific HK sliding stock that came on the 94's, I hate to say "period correct" cause it sounds like some kind of BS renascence actor's statement about his scepter lol.   Will add though, probably 10 years ago or more, my dad had one of those cheap hipoint carbines and it shot amazingly well.  Only having 10 rounds sucked though.  Looks like they make 15 rounders now, couldn't say anything on reliability though
  19. I pondered the AR-9 issue for a really long time, probably a year or so.  Nothing wrong with them, but I just went balls out and got the zenith 5rs instead.  I don't do long range shooting or hunting & if it ever arose there's an ar10 in the closet.  My interest lies with pistol caliber guns, whether they be pistols or carbines.   Figured that I wasn't sure on the AR-9, but was 100% sure on an MP5, so why not save a few extra $ and get exactly what you want.  That MP5 will never leave the collection.
  20. My dumba** read online that the eforms site was down somewhere so I never visited it to verify and started filling out a paper form 1.  You want to see the biggest cluster of misinformation that exists on the internet?  go read on how to fill out a form 1 under a trust.   Luckily Chip told me to go check the website and viola took a few minutes to get everything submitted.  Stupid me searched for a week on the paper form stuff.  I do need to pick up an AR lower to do a .300 sbr before all the crap changes.  might do that this weekend.
  21. not that I have any personal care for the schmuck, but wonder what he's been into recently.  haven't much from him after that green hills school incident walking up and down the sidewalk with the gun.
  22. I think it's more to address idiot people who want to be a vigilante. And every one of us know there would be some out there that would pose a risk.
  23.   Now we can go back to not using it lol!
  24. I checked it out.  denied.
  25.   Not sure about those, I usually hit up the regal places - either at opry mills or 100 oaks.  Is the one in Dickson any good?  It's a heck of a lot closer.
