  1.   That place is bad for ricochets, seen part of a jacket of a round land on my table before.  Never went back after that.  No clue if the trap just sucks or if someone was acting stupid.
  2. That's the same range someone off'd themselves at a few years ago wasn't it?  2010-2011ish
  3. I would build a shopping cart around an M1A1 in 5 minutes flat.
  4. Fancy labels don't make it good - if so Jack Daniels would actually taste good.
  5.   My guess is that we could pay that no problem, the issue is that people paying bills believe that it is more important to have a $700 iphone and $150/monthly plan along with other things rather than to pay a student loan off.
  6.   Dumb freshman.
  7. Are you saying as a forester you lead nothing but a straight life? If so, this is another situation we can fix with a TGO meet and free booze. It's time [for us] to enjoy the fruits of your hard labor.
  8.   We've been looking for the damn things since 2001 according to Colin Powell.
  9. damn they killed it.  some guy was advertising them on ar15.com's fb page they probably pulled it.  Looked pretty cool, no clue on possible issues though
  10.   One of the few on here with massive student loan debt (in the six figure range), I agree with you completely.   What I think needs to happen is some type of weighing the amount of money they can get with the field that they are going into.  I don't know how this could happen, but it makes no sense to me that people are blowing through $50k to get a bachelors in fields like "historical liberal arts in the study of women's rights between 1972-1973"  or whatever stupid degree they can find.  Mine cost a lot, but it's in a legit field that will not be going away and I knew going in how much it would cost. They need to calculate something like the average salary of a starting person in that field and the unemployment rate (and how many people are actually working in that field) in the field into the equation of how much money people can borrow instead of having a generic amount for everyone.   Even though I am paying them back, if uncle Bernie wants to forgive my loans, I would gladly take him up on that. :D
  11. Easy solution for lack of money and desire to go to college. Join the military.
  12. Here's another option that just popped up today https://facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10205860122090363&id=1477426037
  13.     No, because they get to go to school free.
  14. Sorry bad link there:   http://www.xdtalk.com/threads/free-xd-holster-for-your-car-truck-vehicle-atv-whatever.180487/
  15.   No, but if his guns are half price I get some made :P
  16. Even in numbers, my money is on the shotgun.   http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=903_1455266078
  17.   I'll give you half-value + a TGO coffee mug.
  18. call me cynical but I'm pretty suspicious of this one.   They did use a torch, not a grinder.  Cuts are too crooked and what appears to be dust is actually discoloration of the paint from the heat of the torch.  Looks like they only cut through the outside layer then manually unlocked the pins.  The heat would not have went inside the safe to the point of catching stuff on fire if this is what happened.   Looks like there's a james reed listed on the sex registry (possession of child porn) in that area too - james michael reed.  wonder if it's the same guy.
  19. Been in that position when a company I worked for lost their HP contract.  leadership hid the facts, came out one day and said we have two weeks before shutting down, of course this was right before the holidays.  After they notified us in the group meeting, I walked over & clocked out.  People said I was crazy for throwing away the severance package, but I wanted a head start searching for a new job before the other more experienced and qualified people got their names out in the local area.  Plan worked.   Wish them all the best of luck, the smart ones should already have quit and are spending 18 hours a day looking for a new job.
  20. Cheap & effective - if you have a small holster like what comes with the Springfields, just mount it like this and viola.  Vehicle mount for free.   https://www.flickr.com/photos/97311786@N00/sets/72157600466715078/
  21.   Most people with a mercedes (myself included) have a syndrome which causes hesitation any time you bring up the word "mechanic" or "garage" because a fuse normally ends up cost $750 by the time your finished.   If you talk to him, tell him to buy a set from online at discount tire tonight, he can save $100+  The sale ends tonight.
  22.   Why do they have to be a judge?  that's prejudicial of you.
  23. Sidewalls do not have belts like the road surface does.   Just as Caster said it may/may not work for a long time.  Ask yourself - are you willing to bet your safety, or shredding a fender/messing up the paint if there is a blowout going down the road?
