  1. http://crashplan.com   Best one on the market.  Unlimited space, unlimited versioning.  Never once had a single problem in 5 years of using them, and we have definitely used them.   It's also about the most user-friendly/hands-off system you can have.  I've got hosted servers and could easily dump data onto one of them via FTP, but crashplan is so much simpler.  Mine is set to backup every 30 seconds so there's  very little chance even in a fire that I would lose more than 1-2 minute's worth of work.   I think they do a 30 day free trial (or used to at least) you should give them a shot, it works on both windows and mac.
  2.     I was not aware of all that stuff, but relating the metric system to our country's freedom did not make any sense to me. It's simpler, the rest of the world uses it (standardization).  I can throw away half my toolbox.  Lots of benefits.
  3.   You answered your own question with the first five words.
  4.   Just the libs plan?  We NEED the metric system.  Metric system is so much better than ours.
  5.   And that interferes with those of us who use old family recipes, because things were measured in cans and not specifics 20 years ago and beyond.
  6.     did you see the story about the "Cecil Effect"? after that big uproar over Cecil the lion, people stopped going there to hunt lions, their economy is going to shit and the lions are overpopulating now to the point where they said a reserve is going to have to kill 200 of them to keep the numbers under control. I'd like them to take a video of the extermination and send it to PETA and say "Hey, look what you caused us to do, and by the way, 300 families no longer have an income due to the hunters not coming in"
  7. Looks like they made some changes - safe to carry now again in Virginia   http://bearingarms.com/mcauliffe-signs-groundbreaking-concealed-carry-reciprocity-bill-va/
  8. Sorry no clue on the ads, I run an ad blocker so nothing ever shows up.
  9.   I meant to say that the implant has set parameters and when something is triggered, it starts auto recording details, even if I don't feel anything.  The one on the phone only records when you're holding the panels and start the app.  For obvious reasons of course - you won't be walking around all day with the device in your hand lol.
  10. Thought I would share this, know there are a few people on the board with cardiac issues/concerns. Went to the cardiologist last week for a follow up and for them to adjust the settings on my implanted loop recorder. While talking to him, he suggested a neat little device that is extremely small/thin and sticks to the back of your cellphone case. It's a legit ECG, approved by the FDA. Only $99 and it does more than my $5k~ implant (except it doesn't auto record). He said that since the device has come out that some of his patients have been able to catch a lot of episodes that can be read by them. It auto uploads the readings to the web, and you can email the .pdf's to your doctor (or pay the company to have a doctor to read them). Company is http://www.alivecor.com thought I would share because it does appear to be a handy little thing and if you have ever had to wear a holter (this isn't as extensive as the 48 hour 7 lead, but is similar to the 30 day 2 lead one), you know they are a PITA. May want to check this out & talk to your dr about it. Sporadic cardiac issues are terrible to deal with, and at least with this device you always have a recorder nearby to capture the event. Here's part of the one I just ran (it was two pages long, just took a snapshot of part of the first page): Hope it helps someone else too, wish I would've known about this a while back.
  11. oh you have to charge it monthly?  that sucks... May have to return it then, the el cheapo one it is replacing lasted at least 5-6 months ad that thing was only about $25/refurb
  12. Shopping for a battery pack for the car today and ran across a nice deal: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Stanley-FatMax-700-Amp-Peak-Jump-Starter-with-Compressor-Bonus-Road-Side-Service-J7CSR/38243769   $39 with a compressor & year of roadside assistance (including unlocks & 25 mile tow, gas all that jazz)
  13. How dare you!   I declare jihad I mean shenanigans against you!  Always letting getting facts in the way of opinions.
  14. Cool to see the lady in the wheelchair in there.  Love to watch videos online of thugs picking an easy target and getting F'd up cause they just don't know what the deal is lol.
  15. The redundancy is primarily for outages from providers.  The hospital should have two completely separate ISPs for that reason; each of those connections should also dump ddos and block IPs the traffic is coming from automatically.     But after hearing about that stupid hospital in LA getting hit with ransomware and having to pay out, makes me think there's a good amount of incompetent people running IT programs...even at hospitals where it is literally life and death so that place may very well be setup on a single comcast baseband connection. :D
  16. You're right, he won't do it... Because the hospital should have redundant gig connections. Good luck!
  17. This is good for a laugh   http://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/scott-whitlock/2016/02/23/blam-shooting-range-clueless-msnbc-reporter-drowned-out-gunfire
  18. The really funny one is when you have a TS-SCI and you have to get another background check at work because of the "public trust" requirement on the position. It's basically like being a licensed Formula 1 driver being required to take a state driver's license test every few years.
  19.   Well, if that wasn't the end of the story, those two deputies need to be strung up.
  20. Great now that's finished, let's get back to Hockey.

You should name him "Help". So when you yell out commands more people pay attention :d
  22. damn sounds like they need to redo their trap with all of these ricochet stories.
  23.   spoiler alert: somewhere in between a driver will not turn left as expected.
  24.   That was pretty much it.  And for the few years that Tony Stewart would show up before he was banned for crashing people, there was a 100% chance that a fight was gonna happen during the late model races.
  25.   At my uncle's track (actually my cousin, he was just older than me so it was more like an uncle) we had 1 rule - you could fight until the police broke it up, but if you did fight it had to be in the front straight so the fans could watch it too.  We would milk the hell out of that stuff from the tower... And drunk rednecks on a dirt track = fight almost every Saturday.
