I seen that and chalked it up to stupid. He didn't remove any windows, you can see shards of glass hanging in the frame in every video played the next morning. Then, WTF is a sniper's nest? And he didn't disarm the smoke alarms, that's what gave away the exact position. He didn't disarm any security system, and no one knows how much training he had, or what his motives were. The only thing that meme has proper is that the creator sounds confused by starting off with "let me get this straight...."

I've never fired an automatic weapon that didn't fluctuate in fire rate. It could be anything from different tension on the belt, to the magazine not feeding fast enough, to the gas port being clogged up, to varying powder levels in the ammo... Automatics in general are very finicky. Hell, I've had a 240 go from 700 RPM all the way down to around 300-400 because the backplate was loose (which shouldn't affect it at all).

It's truly the worst case scenario that we have all been afraid of happening. I'm not going to jump on board and start guessing the intentions of this one - it's just ####ing terrible all the way around.

Just heard they said that the shooter supposedly had 6-7 guns, had 2 shooting platforms set up, and cameras set up to see the police arrive. ####

As we have discussed on here for the past 5+ years, as a country we have been so lucky that most shootings involve people with no training. This is beyond terrible.

If you go, make sure to check out the Korean war memorial after it gets dark. The night lighting on it really brings something to it that you can't see during the day.

If it's not a big deal I wouldn't mess with it. Cause if you're worried about 1 board, in one spot and 1/8" and it's old flooring, you're looking for perfection and that will require replacement. Just chalk it up to character and move along.

Fantastic documentary. Albeit a bit longer than it needed to be. I love history and read on the major WW's regularly; will definitely be reading more about Vietnam after seeing how much of a cluster**** that war was. Never understood before this why there was such a level of civil outrage over the war, but now I think I would've been in the middle of it myself. (But against the policies, not the soldiers)

Always hate hearing these stories, but then you try to find out as much info as soon as possible, and none of it is ever right. Guess I need to implement a cool-off period and let the news get a good solid 24 hours in before starting to pay attention to the story.
