I think the majority of us are optimistic, but cautious... Especially with the magnitude of the environment; politically, socially, and financially.

Check, double check, and then make sure there's nothing in there... 2 extra seconds can save a lifetime of pain.   Good for you on being able to admit the issue and remind everyone.  Good for the buyer to contact you and bring it up instead of making it a public ordeal.  But you both get no gold stars for participation in this event.

TY, it sucked letting the thing sit for 4-5 months.  Was nice to actually be able to shoot, always wanted one since I was a kid - although it's not a high-end HK with a fun button, it's as close to the dream gun that I could afford.... and I'm good with that!   Not sure if the mp5 would classify as most people's dream gun, but ever since rainbow six came out back in the day, I've wanted one.  Now if we could just figure out how to make a bunch of money and buy that dream car lol.

Depends if it was running or not when it went in. If the engine was off, you could salvage most of it after a rebuild which would cost minimal and be worth a good bit.

That's cool you are trying, but I don't think the insurance company will turn it over to you unless it's a small hometown joint. They will have an appraiser check it out, then see if it goes to auction or scrap.

Neighbor has a deck about the same dimensions as mine built with composite floor and railings in 1995 (same as my house) and their deck still looks about 75% new.  Mine was in much worse shape with regular wood, that's why I tried the restore garbage.   No clue on pricing differences, but you know that good wood costs a pretty penny anyways.

There any roads nearby a wrecker could get to it?  If they look like expensive rims, it may be worth while to have it pulled to shore and jack them.   Although don't take that as advice, it may be illegal.   P.S. anyone on TGO needs some F-150 parts?  we may have found a donor vehicle  :bowrofl:
