After reading the article it looks like the purpose is a refresh on the approach to firearms forensics, not a 'database'. Sort of like when the ability to test for DNA in blood started being used of the simple type of blood. But the fact that they openly say they support a racist organization that is primarily anti-police (and I may add, that Putin even put on a terrorist list) after 5 police officers were murdered while on duty protecting BLM is enough to draw a conclusion on where they stand. It's not court, we don't need forensically verified video and audio recordings of the meeting that created/allowed that post to be made to form a reasonable opinion.

Also have to consider the battery sitting around and going bad. one battery replacement may cost you 20 gallons of gas.

What a coincidence... cancelled my account and then got this email today:

yeah the stuff is junk... The place I normally buy non-ethanol gas for my mower/weedeater/blower/chainsaw changed its pumps around and I didn't read the signage before filling up. After a 5 gallon can was full I noticed the "10% ethanol" sticker... Got home, put some in my weadeater to start edging the driveway and it kept bogging down like it had lost a good 25% of its power. Poured the rest of the jug in my truck, got some non-ethanol gas and it magically works perfectly again. But of course... "10% ethanol won't hurt anything"
