  1. That's another reason I wanted to leave the two original openings to mine. If one of those doors gets stuck and there's only one exit... You're *******. There's no possibility of getting out of that thing
  2. Sorry, the door is not "solid steel" I meant it was all steel; the frame and door.
  3. There was a safe room in the basement when we moved in; cinderblock sides, poured on the floor and ceiling, but had two regular doors. Was going to seal one up and put a vault door on the other, but steel frame and security doors were cheaper and (in my opinion) just as effective in this situation since the good stuff is still in a safe anyways. Estimate for the one vault door and install was going to be $4000, then additional costs to block off the other. Two solid steel security doors with a 90 minute fire & smoke rating installed was $1700.
  4. 8 months average right now and that is for the ones that went in before the June rush. I called them 2 weeks ago to inquire directly.
  5. Vandy children's hospital 2017; you have a date. Not many people donate to them because they think there's a ton of money coming in... because it's Vandy. Unfortunately the kids are on the wrong side of that deal.
  6. After being stuck in a hospital for a while as an adult, I can only imagine how much it sucks being stuck there as a child, over the holidays, and possibly being underprivileged on top of all the other problems. Every year at Christmas I anonymously donate toys to the nearest children's hospital. This year, thanks to an awesome new store here in Fairview called "Dirt Cheap" I was able to buy over $1500 worth of new toys for $300 out of pocket. It was everything under the tree, except for a couple of wrapped presents in the back. You want something to hit you right in the feels? Try that out next year.
  7. They'll start getting my business at the same time I start donating to the Clinton Foundation. You can figure out the similarities.
  8. Had a set of the Walkers game ear razor (nrr 23) and wanted to get something a bit better. Was looking at the Walkers game ear ultimate (nrr 27) or the pro ears pro tac slim (nrr 28). Does anyone by chance have experience with both sets? Do the pro ears justify the extra $ over walkers? Wouldn't mind to get something rated higher, but all of them look about 3 times as thick as the razor's are.

Yeah that's what I'm doing. Big hands, the 12 round is too small.
  10. I called last week, they said form 4's are running about 8 months right now.
  11. It's hard to compete with cheap chinese tools when they come with a lifetime warranty now too from harbor freight.
  12. mother####ers.

Liked that S&W CORE set up so much, I replaced the EDC with a mini-version Extension was just for giggles, have an x-grip on a 17 rounder. Up in the air about having the slide milled and installing one of those Burris optics on it too since I've got free extras coming in from that rebate thing. just not sure on it yet.
  15. This thing is a hoot to shoot! We put about 1000 rounds through it one afternoon, as fast as we could feed it. Got my MP5K barrel in today and gonna see if the gunsmith at Royal Range can do a swap or if I need to send it in. The only complaint I have about it is the stupid mag release button, it's pretty much useless if you're used to manipulating MP5's. Will be sending it off to get that thing removed and a paddle release installed.
  16. No honey to explain to - that process was as expensive as 4 of these guns.
  17. Check with your neighbors and look into a LoS system. It will have to piggyback on theirs; there is no way to set one up directly from the service connection (that I know of). If it was me and they were cool about it, I would just offer to pay their entire internet bill monthly and hook up the equipment. Have you called Charter about running cable out there? Not sure how much they charge to pull cable, but if there are some other houses in the area, you may be able to split the initial cost. AT&T will not upgrade anything until a competitor is in the area, because they have you by the balls.
  18. Was starting to think this year sort of fizzled out.

  20. Said the same thing last year, now I own two. Never know what will fall in your lap!
  21. It will still be around to do that. Who knows, if I don't like it, it may be up for sale/trade during the next panic.
  22. Yeah, it was too hard to pass up.
  23. getting practice for a SHTF scenario, they will blend in with the mob more than the rest of us would.
  24. there's lots of options, none have the ebay clout though. the problem with ebay is their pricing - 10 years ago their listing/seller fees were reasonable. then they bought paypal to corner the entire market and just went insane. They subsequently had to break away from paypal again because of the conflicts, but not much has changed for the good since the day they initially merged.
