  2. He probably had some of that 6000fps/2000ft lbs 17 grain self defense ammo. Lucky for him the last shot grazed the cornia and temporarily blinded the bear Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2
  3. I agree with this as well, except the illegal aliens should only be allowed to carry 400 yards outside our border

    THE SILVER BOMB

We have a rather large stockpile of silver, not to make money from but for a shtf situation. Buy it as long as it's under $35 total (most places charge spot price + $2/bar), once it goes over we hold off until it falls again. Too many people are doing these investments in metals with their retirement and that is retarded.. It's just as risky as having a 401 invested into currency.
  5. just another case of someone in california thinking the way things are out there is the way everyone else wants them to be in their part of the country. this is going to cost them a massive amount of money
  6. If you have a green card then there is no problem at all, you and my wife have went through more background checks than the majority of citizens in this country and imo, have a lot more to lose if the firearm is misused. Anyone arguing against that probably doesn't understand what is at stake for permanent residents, not sure anyone of you all would carry just for fun simply for risking your citizenship process.
  7. Back in 1999-2000 we had to switch to Bose intercom systems inside our tanks because of OSHA, and those things worked really, really well. They worked so well that it was nearly to the point you could hear someone whisper across the radio. It is obvious this issue is not about hearing protection.
  8. That automatically puts it on the no-go list for me, I'd rather just pay higher fees up front instead of a place trying to nickel and dime you to death.
  9. Appreciate the offer, but I really need an indoor range with automated targets. It's not wise for me to hobble around on a cane going back and forth downrange. If that place isn't even open yet, that would probably be why no one knew where it was. Seems they would have "Coming Soon" or something of the nature on their website. But after you mentioned that I did check out their facebook page and it's just a steel frame at the moment and I did drive past it once or twice looking for the building lol
  10. After spending a damn hour driving around because of the gps, I couldn't find the nashville armory place (except the actual military armory). Does anyone know of somewhere in the area that is open until 7 or 8pm on the weekdays? Don't care much on how fancy the facilities are, just need to get to one and practice a bit. The guns and leather range was pretty snazzy but it is also almost 45 minutes away. Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2

Just ran through LexisNexis and I was wrong.. I thought that if someone was protected under EEOC, that someone causing issues specifically because of being in that group, it could be considered a hate crime as well. It specifically says age discrimination is for employment only, and looks like even for EEO Housing, you can be discriminated against because of your age, legally... That's some bullhonky

Guarantee that would work, as long as more than a few people show up. Just out of curiosity, couldn't this be considered a hate crime since he would be in a protected class due to his age? And clearly they were exploiting that from what they wrote.
  15. After seeing cruise in pineapple express, I actually like the guy now. He's an awesome actor, but like you said, I sort of shunned away because of all the silliness he's associated with Glad to see a real review of this movie, heard it was a flop in the theaters but previews looked awesome so we were up in the air on it Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2

    357 sig ..

those look to be different sizes, but the tech data on their site says the dimensions are the same. The only difference is the weight and the rifling twist. That site I posted was for an aftermarket barrel specifically for using 9mm in the 40's or 357's

Thanks for the info, I need to head back to the shop and double check now cause I think it was a 32, not a 33.

    357 sig ..

Need the input of the dirty Glock lovers... http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/GNS141-1.html Considering that Glock 33 again, because of that site above. Now the question I have (because I don't understand the models of these things)... Does the 33 come in one size only, or are there compacts, subs and service models each named a 33? If this thing can go from a 357 to a 40 with a barrel swap, and can go to a 9mm with a barrel and magazine swap, I think this is what we're going with.
  20. You definitely need one of these to mitigate those issues:
  21. Good post, enjoyed the videos and stuff! I lived on the DMZ for 18 months and in Seoul for 12 months, had the fortunate experience to see things like the Japanese War Memorial, The American Museums and so on. The people that fought in that war (from any side) deserve a level of respect that no one gets these days. In our battalion office, we had a machine gun on display that had got so hot, the barrel had melted over and dropped down about 8 - 10" - almost to the ground. It was surrounded by photographs of the rice patties they were using as a kill zone and as far as you could see were dead chinese soldiers 2-3 people deep. You could've walked all the way across the field on top of people and never once stepped in mud. The Chinese were sent down in droves, the first row carrying weapons and ammo the next rows only had sticks and swords. Once the person in front of them got taken out, the next man would pick up his rifle and ammo and continue on... That was an insane war in some of the worst possible terrain and conditions that any modern war has taken place in. Much respect goes out to anyone here or your family members that fought in the war.
  22. we use them in the xd, sorry should've specified.. figured everyone would know what their gun would handle. With a few minor upgrades he *could* use them
  23. We just paid almost $5k between application and legal fees for my wife... maybe we should apply for a refund and tell them she has been here illegally for years so she gets a freebie Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2
  24. Have shot tula (it only seems to work good in our xd) but usually only use the white box winchester 230's from walmart, it's usually only $17/box. Keep some 45 supers on hand but only shoot a few every couple of months or so just to practice with the extra recoil. Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2

    357 sig ..

Thanks there's some good info here, and after talking with the wife I think we may get a good 9mm. The plan was to just keep the 357 as a daily carry, but she reminded me there's nothing in the house that just sits around and 9mm ammo is dirt cheap. Also wasn't aware some of those +p+ rounds were that close to the lighter 357's. It makes sense just from an availability and expense view to go the 9mm route. Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2
