  1. County where I grew up was dry up until it went "moist" a few years back and just went "wet" 2 weeks ago. When it was dry, everything was just illegal. No exceptions. Moist allowed certain sit down restaurants to server drinks with food but nothing could leave the place of business. You were still not allowed to have anything personally outside of those designated restaurants. When they went wet 2 weeks ago, everything is allowed form package stores to bars.
  2. Thanks, saved me 6 pages of reading
  3. $20 with no time restriction is more than reasonable
  4. Just sitting here watching tv and it switched over to the emergency broadcast system for an Amber Alert. Is this something new or is it just because I don't watch much tv and have never seen them?
  5. Too much to read, can someone give us a truncated version in 20 words or less on how he won this battle?
  6. The price isn't bad, I'm more interested in how they manage the tards on the range more so than the costs. Would rather pay that plus some, than be somewhere for free that doesn't monitor the shooters. Plus being about 5 minutes away helps as well
  7. Until 911 dispatch gets a teleportation machine and can zap a SWAT team over, there will be fighting shooting when someone threatens us.
  8. Heard about this a while ago and this is one of the ####tiest situations that exist. If we all had one rewind button in life, I'd gladly give the guy mine <edit> I retract that offer after actually reading the story, it was an adopted kid that supposedly had some kind of weapon trying to break into a house. Then he turned on the guy... Sad story, but doesn't sound like it was a prank like what was being let on in the beginning.
  9. Looked like he was freaking out on something, at least no one else got shot at.
  10. Someone should've just walked up to him and smacked him for being stupid, then let him continue.
  11. Anyone that thinks it would be cheaper has obviously not been to Amsterdam.
  12. The wife and I were talking about that recently, and do you think it could be that a lot of the summer jobs (illegal or under the table as well as students losing full-time and switching back to part-time) are coming to a close?
  13. Didn't the date already pass I thought there was a misconception because the differences in a lunar and Gregorian calendar, without the use of leap years and such. I'll see if I can find it, but if you use their calendar the date had already passed.
  14. Definitely employ a professional for this cause I just looked up some info on the vaccine and within 15 minutes of internet research it turns out I may have Lupus, Diabetes, Hyperthyroidism, Hypothyroidism and am risk of heart disease even though no one in my family has had a heart attack. We were talking about this new era of self-diagnostics via WebMD/Internet sites with one of our doctors last year and he said it's sort of funny when people come in and say they feel XYZ is wrong, and when he suggests treatment, they question it saying "well, on the internet we seen it may be ABC". He said he just asks them if you already know what's wrong, then why are you here asking for my opinion? He's a great Dr.
  15. +1 on Mike's post, I tried a few times to post a reasonable response, but it was answered with skewed information and calculated while wearing horse blinders. At that point, it was clear that a legit discussion was not the purpose of the initial postings. They seemed to be more for seeking turbulence than addressing an issue, so I just returned the favor. This thread in itself shows he was just looking for a reaction from people and not to spark a debate because in the first post it says:
  16. I bet just a couple of Marines could've not only stopped that attack IF THEY WERE ALLOWED TO HAVE AMMUNITION, but they could've also helped a couple hundred of those terrorists get in the express lane to receive their 72 virgins.
  17. I would never sell anything on CL personally. With forums it's a bit different like David said, there are means to validate claims of the person to an extent. They should have these guys captured by Friday at the latest... It never ceases to amaze how dumb people are with technology, and what they think will keep them from getting caught.
  18. Point taken, maybe a more accurate descriptor would've been fanatical instead of crazy.
  19. Do they just die off or do things eat them? Not sure if I've ever seen anything that eats turtles other than hillbillies.
  20. Great example of why people think a large portion of Ron Paul supporters are crazy
  21. The MPS AA-12 Sledgehammer with exploding ammo in the first Expendables, is by far my favorite. Great thing is that the gun is real http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k80j4_hwU6E
  22. Yep it is a crime to put anything unmetered/processed in a mailbox. Can't say anything about the other part though
