That is one question, an interview is for discussing things. If you look near the beginning, he got a share of short questions thrown his way. If the entire interview went like: What is your favorite color? What day is it today? Did you pass regulation on firearms? Do you own a gun? No one would read/listen to the thing because the reporter is basically doing what any bozo with an iq of 45 was capable of. This was not a debate where someone was asking leading questions to the participants, it was a one on one interview.

Romney just didn't seem to be the right guy during the primaries, but good lord he has a commanding presence on stage! He's also doing a great job of shutting down that overweight meatbag of a moderator without looking like an ass.

Spoke with someone today, fairly low on the totem pole as far as military brass is concerned, but he has been directed to prep his unit for riot control. It is disturbing that active duty units (non-mp) are putting this in their preparedness requirements, hopefully nothing will come of it though.

It may have been better for Ryan to not have interrupted Biden though. As much as Biden's substance is crap, he is a very experienced debater. With Ryan staying reserved and respectful, it just amplified Biden's obnoxiousness and it also kept Ryan from getting hit too hard by the moderator. Ryan has the numbers in his head, he's basically an accounting nerd walking around D.C. and that's exactly what we need. Once he gets a fraction of the experience Biden has in debating, I believe Ryan will be able to run through anyone with a chainsaw because he already has the facts on his side. We'll never know what the strategy was though, all we can do is armchair quarterback the situations.
