I use the d710, and have for a while now... Can get you the specifics on the modem and software that works best for me, but the weird thing is one modem version may work 200% better for you than it works for me. Will get that info for you tonight or tomorrow, need to finish some homework and help the wife put up the Christmas tree

Seven robbers killed during robbery attempt in Africa
Sam1 replied to Sam1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Good thing they don't get 2 years of unemployment benefits, it may result in their country going to shambles... oh wait -
Looks like their plan didn't come together as expected: http://news.yahoo.com/seven-robbers-shot-dead-south-africa-233312621.html
JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - An elite South African police unit shot dead seven men when they tried to rob a cash depot in western Johannesburg on Saturday evening, a spokesman for the unit said. Nine others were injured and under police guard in hospital, a spokesman of the unit known as Hawks told Reuters. 13-year-old shot at Cheatham County WMA range
Sam1 replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
According to the news this morning, the boy was at the range with his family. As they walked out to check their targets, a woman began moving several guns from the bench when she accidentally pulled the trigger on a revolver.
If the range was cold and she picked up the gun and pulled the trigger, then they should make an example out of her. -
Not sure on the 9mm UC, but I did have a .45 UC Pro a few months back that I sold on here. Had to get a heavier recoil spring made because the slide was coming back extremely hard, even with walmart target ammo. After the smith made the new spring, it was fantastic, but he had to add 4-5 pounds to get it to that point.

Oh that software exists, and just about every enterprise level organization uses it. It is very possible to catch people doing that within 15 minutes (few minutes for the logs to propagate), they could also possibly lose their job for even attempting to circumvent the digital protection, and some people could find themselves in a mess of civil and criminal issues (depending on who the phone is owned by).

New roms can be jelly bean based, a lot more functionality and they run much faster/smoother. I like the speed, and free hotspot/tethering. Side effect of having the bloatware removed is also better battery life *but this depends on the rom and configurations. I use the SII epic touch (think it's for Sprint only), and it runs much better than the OEM ROM, a substantial amount faster
-
Caution is good when you start, but after doing some reading, you'll see that it's pretty safe as long as you don't vary from the instructions of the people creating the ROM's. How people mess up is that they think they can try new things, or use software made for a different phone.
Can't find the Blu Kuban.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1625535 It's for the galaxy 2 epic touch, but it may work with your model, just ask on that forum.

CM10 is good, but there's a lot of people that have taken that and built even better ROMs from it. ParanoidAndroid is one, KingKang etc... but my favorite is Blu Kuban, it has the speed of the CM10 JB, except everything works and the modems are faster. Now that your cherry has been popped, you'll probably be on xda weekly, trying out new ones lol
Still works out to a good hit with a 22lr beats a miss with anything else.
We killed a wild boar with the concussion from our main gun in Germany. Darn thing didn't even make it to the other side of the trail... Also had an awesome BBQ that night thanks to dumb luck So the solution to having an effective hit with a miss, is to use a 120mm cannon as a daily carry

I wouldn't give any weight to that study, there's an astronomical number of variables that were not even addressed.

Clint Eastwood delivers again lol
"I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it," he has said.
They tricked me into buying one too a few months back, but it turned out all that bad stuff I said about them was just from assumptions of misinformation.
Man Pulls Gun on Rowdy, Line-Cutting Black Friday Shopper http://www.nbcdfw.co...-180586131.html Had permit, not arrested, no charges.
Another statistic that will never be reported on how a gun was used to stop a violent act from escalating. I would be interested to see what kind of refrigerator he expected to stop a bullet

I would just do one of the alternatives like a good pepper spray, would rather have something to fall back on than to stick with hope.

Cold weather time is just around the corner. JHP vs FMJ?
Sam1 replied to IggyBcool's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Carry at a minimum of .454 Cassull and you wont have a "under" penitration problem. Kidding aside i'm either carrying a .357 mag 140gr. or .45 Hornaday 230gr.+P's, i chose the +p's wanting that extra 100+fps than a standard 230gr. Maybe it's over penitration but I have it if needed. I seriously doubt that a thick jacket could have a very dramatic affect on the rounds you usually carry, it's not body armor.
Don't think those +p's over-penetrate, a lot fo the ballistics gel tests show they have near identical penetration. The only uneducated guess I could make is that the extra speed cause them to open faster. -
Didn't even know this was out, may have to go check it out

After bouncing back and for 100 times, we just laid claim to a 73" DLP. Was $899 w/ free shipping from dell. - They are selling them for $849 starting at midnight, but my beauty sleep is worth more than that.
How can someone have so little regard for her own life as to just hand it over to some douchebag?
Because they as TMF said, live in this bubble and have never once been close to loosing their life. Anyone on here that's been in a combat situation will tell you that it only takes 5 seconds to break you, or change your outlook on life for as long as you live. Have you all considered sending her to Afghanistan to attend high school?
I used to work for an ISP in the 90's, from around 98 to 2001 and I can tell you we didn't have any way to capture/retain anything.
I'll track the legislation down for you, funny thing was it was started (not sure who was initially behind it) and then E. Holder "translated" it into something that better fit his desire. Think his official proposal was late '98 or 99 but they were so tied with the DMCA that the later ones were not able to go through.
If you are truly paranoid do not use browser-based email systems. If you have the ability to setup and use Outlook or Windows Mail (sorry Apple geeks I don't know what the equivalent is) with whatever email provider you have then do so. Those programs download the message and it is removed from the hosting server.
The method you use is irrelevant, a federal law was passed in the 90's that required ISP's to possess the capacity of recording and storing 100% of their total bandwidth. Any transmission can be captured, and unless you use some type of an unknown encryption or some ridiculously large algorithm that they don't have the key for, it can be easily accessed. The laws that keep getting challenged/failing are the length of time for retention, the actual capability of it being retained has been in place for nearly 20 years.
