NBC David Gregory Violates Federal Gun Laws Live On TV
Sam1 replied to runco's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Hindsight is 20/20, but wouldn't that have been great if he called him out on that right on the spot? That would've went down as one of the most epic things on tv. -

I just realized something, his twitter account and FB account for meet the press has been silent since Sunday. So it looks like they're concerned about it enough to stay quiet while they work up an elaborate excuse. -

Latest word on talk radio is that NBC asked the DC police if they would let them borrow or allow them to have a magazine for the show and they said no. Then he turned around and got one on air any way. http://rt.com/usa/news/david-gregory-magazine-law-894/ So not only does the ban not work, being specifically told no by the police department doesn't work either. I would be really interested to hear on how his proposed ban would prevent criminals from having them, if "law abiding" people are ignoring legal information directly from the police, then rubbing it in their faces. -
Boycotts never work, they just give more free advertising to the company.

Just read that, it 's pretty good https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/keep-piers-morgan-usa/cbpHr9R2

At least he learned how to use another word than "uh" and "uhhh" or "uhhhm".

They depended on statistical calculations from companies like Nielsen (we had one of their boxes in Knoxville). But now with digital boxes, they have access to everything on their own end and this is why you companies like Directv drop channels XYZ, and they may pick up channels ABC, while Comcast drops ABC in the southeast market they know it's popular in the northwest, so they retain the channels. So basically with analog they had to rely on statistics from a third party but now with digital boxes, the service provider knows all. I think this was the reason Nielson was thinking about buying the radio version of themselves called Arbatron or something like that, because they have been taking a hit on the tv side of things and almost all radio stations still operate on analog, so there's a need for their system there.

Heard on talk radio that his numbers are 500k for the entire show, and that a show of his availability should be a minimum of 2.5-3 million. the talk show was on an am station on Sunday and they were laughing about it cause their numbers were running 500k every 30 minutes, and during the weekdays they were 2 mil+ The only way a show can be measured is by how many people watch it, and the only way you can impact it is to never watch it, even for just a second. Don't watch it out of spite or curiosity because your tv will pop up on their system and count you as a viewer no matter the intent behind it.

Am I reading this wrong: Cause it says that they are liable to the party injured. - I'm sure there's more to this one somewhere cause it's not complicated enough

http://milford-nh.patch.com/articles/nh-rep-wants-guns-out-of-statehouse This will be one to check on next week since it directly impacts the people voting. If they do this to themselves, I would expect NH will also take a big hit on the 2a issues for the citizens in their state in some manner

The confusion I'm having, is that there is documentation around that discusses people suing cops and gov. employees for constitutional torts, but half of them are written in some strange language that normal people can't understand like this one: http://www.law.harvard.edu/students/orgs/crcl/vol38_2/park.pdf and I'm not sure that would actually pertain to lawmakers. Only documentation I could find (and understand) was a bunch of cops being sued for violation of the 4th amendment

That is a real superman! he loaded 3 dead enemy soldiers on the helicopter because he was trying to recover classified info, while holding his intestines in with his own hand. This is the kind of the kind of guy they need to make cartoons about, not some pansy in a leotard shooting spiderwebs from his hand. -
Asking this in all seriousness because I do not know and am interested. - Throwing all kinds of hypotheticals out there: Say that politicians in Texas implement a pistol ban (everything under the sun). Then, Larry a citizen in Texas that used to have a carry permit and carry on a regular basis for self-defense, can no longer carry. One day coming home from work, he is carjacked by armed criminals and nearly beat to death before they stole his car and left him for dead on the side of the road. Could Larry come back with legal recourse against those politicians that implemented the ban? Whether it be because of the 2nd amendment, or any other reason they could think of due to them essentially disarming him. Could this be done at any level? Common sense says that if they were the reason he was not able to defend himself, then they could also be held accountable for his injuries. - But I also don't understand the legal aspect of something like this. Any explanations would be greatly appreciated

That looks like a 105, not a 40

Just about any tech/trade school will have it.

If they know he's a fraud, why does the postmaster not put an alert on the box so when they come in and check it, they nab him or start working their way through the food chain. If this is the case, that's multiple types of fraud. - And one thing that scares me worse than the FBI is the PostMaster.

It's on the page that John posted: http://www.senatedems.ct.gov/pr/bye-121220.php I don't think they'll be making that disappear any time soon since it is a distributed document. Dang that makes me so mad just thinking about them having the balls to say things like that and for it to be tolerated.

I think he's insinuating that we're all grey haired, overweight and on the lookout for younger girls.

Merry Christmas from the depths of KY, where my parents have to pipe in sunshine to see outside. Hope everything goes well and everyone stays safe and enjoys themselves :)

This is a line copied from that CT.gov website: “We have a unique opportunity to revisit our regulations and update them." Absolutely disgusting exploitation of a tragedy

Same thing when I worked at Best Buy in college, they said that it was because of som legal issues but I think it was because of exactly what you said that they just have no overhead and they have to make money somehow
