Am not sure on the SS media itself but what in general for metal polishing we use balls to do anything with an interior surfaces (especially curved ones like brass has). What is just as important as the shape of the media is the composite it's made from. You can get a HD ball that will cut more metal than a light pyramid cutting media, but you can also get an HD Pyramid that will remove 2-3x the material that same HD ball does. Since I have never worked on brass before, I can't say that A, B or C works better, or if D does a good enough job that A,B and C are not needed. One thing you must do with ceramic is run a solution, it looks like most people are recommending a home-made concoction of some sort, but I recommend Kramco solutions. Again I haven't worked with brass and would have to check with them to see if they are safe to use on ammo, but I use Kramco 1010 and 1510 on a semi-regular basis with ceramic media.

good point, didn't even think of that. Mine can hold 18# total and that much SS media by itself probably wouldn't fill up 15% of the bowl.

What's the benefit of using a tumbler over a vibratory polisher? Seems like with a wet ceramic ball media, they would be as clean if not better and 25% of the equipment cost <edit> I looked it up and some are saying that the metal media doesn't work as well in a vibratory bowl, but a large portion of bowls are sealed and set up to use a solution, and it seems to me that it may require an angled cylindrical media to get the primer areas cleaned, and just mix that in with a ball media (2mm or so). Think I'll order some of the cylindrical media from Kramer this week and mix it together with the balls and see how that works

Feinstein 1995, wanted complete ban on guns
Sam1 replied to Sam1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Sorry, assumed everyone would know that was about semi auto rifles -
I think there was some case law discussing the variables between reaction times of the police with clocks, angles of viewing and how they could have an astronomical impact on the estimated speed.

http://youtu.be/blXkl9YVoHo Says she was for a complete ban if she could've had 51 votes in the senate. To the point requiring people to turn them into the gov.

Colorado Journalist/Comedian knows the size of your genitalia
Sam1 replied to Rightwinger's topic in General Chat
I am starting to think there's going to be a lot of no-name self-proclaimed journalists posting stories like this in hopes to get recognition that they are incapable of earning by reporting on factual stories. After reading this, I don't think I'll be linking to any more of the stories found and will just copy some of the text cause I don't want them earning any more money from advertisements or seeing their metrics for page visits going up. -
Burglar messes with the wrong Marine

Hopefully this story doesn't get too far up or there may be a bill to ban military grade assault knees and combat style choke suppressors. -
Really good for bomb squads working on on a cell trigger

Ran across this tonight while doing research for class: http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/DA-12-347A1.pdf Says cell/GPS jammers are illegal to use, import, advertise or sale in the US now (FCC 3/2012). The thread that was discussing them previously was locked, & this was important info to share with everyone asking - I was ignorant of the law myself.

haha! needed that

I've noticed something over the past few days - since this is the new craze used to promote the creation of star wars "death stars", to "Place the DC “Taxation Without Representation†License Plate on the Presidential Limousine." has become a bit more popular and definitely entertaining I check it on a daily basis. What is starting to occur is when you list the "all petitions" and they are usually by date created, it appears that some of the anti-gun, pro-restriction, 2a limiting etc... petitions are strangely popping up at the top of the list again, even if they were created weeks and weeks ago. The Pro 2a petitions seem to just keep dropping down the list and are never brought back up to the top so they no longer show according to the date when they are created. Has anyone else noticed this?

If you can't find anyone local, contract the work out on http://forum.deviantart.com/ , they can do anything as simple as a stick man to as complex as a 6 dimensional city scape with mosquitos the size of a pixel. - a lot of them work cheap too, like my handicap avatar, someone charged me about $5 total to make 4 different deigns (it was actually for some stickers)

Piers Morgan Threatens to Deport Himself
Sam1 replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
He was fired from his editorial job in 2004 for posting fake photographs of Iraqi prisoner abuse on the front page of the paper and CNN still hired him after this. -
Yep, cause anything of this magnitude would have requested settlements literraly in the trillions.

Map: Where are the gun permits in your neighborhood?
Sam1 replied to zapfbroad's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Looks like they are now threatening to post an additional 44,000 gun owners - http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/12/robert-farago/white-plains-ny-journal-to-publish-names-and-addresses-of-additional-44k-pistol-permit-holders/#comment-552381 I think that is getting into posting gun owners and not permit holders now. And I'm sure the criminals will have this new app on their phones as they drive down the road to burgal... How long will it be before a criminal goes into a house and exits the front door with holes in his chest, then the family sues the newspaper for printing misinformation, as the criminal was not properly informed of the dangers  The other funny thing is they are creating very detailed maps of all the reporters now: http://www.newrochelletalk.com/content/map-where-are-journal-news-employees-your-neighborhood -
All you need is an iphone to call the gov. for help  /in serious mode\ A multi-tool would be highly recommended, although I'm sure you'll have a plethora of knives, a good leatherman/gerber (or whatever brand) is essential imho.
