  1. You don't win a race by holding down the gas wide open and just hope you make it around the turns, which is exactly what that guy was doing last night, braking and steering are as important. He did a fine job in the beginning of maintaining control of the discussion, but then kept turning it up a notch even though he was in control. Then when Morgan opened up that trap door (that everyone could see a mile a way) Jones jumped in it willing, screaming on his way down.   A perfect example Josh Boston:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOjI6laKGYU   That guy embarrassed the CNN anchor and he did it in a way that will get much more attention (and deservingly so) than the Jones rant.
  2.   They already have been, promoting disability benefits by suggesting this. That's why I say it's just a short time (if any at all) before the bums apply for a gun, check off the "i'm crazy" box, get denied, then stop by the SS same week and apply for their life-long gub'ment checks!
  3. Not only does it make a huge grey area on ownership, how often is the denial due to mental reasons going to be used for people to get disability benefits? Cause if they are told no gun due to instability, they are a danger to others and shouldn't be working at all
  4. Don't think that would happen, would guess the system does a yes/no and there's no margin of error on it. If someone would pass the check in July. They would pass in the December frenzy. Same if they failed
  5. Thanks
  6. Alex has the intelligence and research that he could've made that interview epic in a good way, but as usual he started in on the loon stuff and destroyed any hopes. Especially when he laid into piers for leaving the UK, but piers changed the subject to 9/11 and Alex jumped down that hole without a chute
  7. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/01/robert-farago/nra-list-of-organizations-supporting-civilian-disarmament/   Lot more on there than I thought! And cannot believe the ABA is on there
  8. Or what about a cash mob/dinner or something? Maybe once every few months or so, we could have a lunch/dinner eat & greet at a place that needs the business and supports us.
  9.   Even without the bad editing, common sense would say that someone there has an FEL and the ATF would be all over them for allowing someone to stand next to an explosion.
  10. Advertised boycotts never work, they just give the company free advertising. :)   As far as the forum goes, what about having a locked thread (because it would get messy) of a basic list of places and companies that support the 2a and gun owners? There's a list of no-carry places, but there's no list of gun friendly places. Due to the ongoing circumstances, I would be more than happy to take personal business to some of these supportive companies, I just don't know who they are.
  11. http://quick-measure.com/   A friend sent the link over today, are these worth the extra $ over what comes in the box with the dillon 550b?
  12. http://news.yahoo.com/bank-america-10b-plus-mortgage-settlement-141939585--finance.html   I wouldn't be picking apart my customers if my organization just got fined $10,000,000,000.00 You would think they would want more people coming to them instead of running away.
  13. That truck explosion thing is a green screen, they just overlayed him in the position
  14. a real guard dog!
  15. Calm down, it's just the internet!
  16. Yeah, but how many teachers do you think are going to know to get down and fire with an upward angle if there are people in the background? On top of that, how many of those teachers would be able to perform the task with nothing more than some HCP "training"?   The HCP course is an awareness course, it is not a situational training course. I bet everyone that carried would love to go to additional courses, especially if they were free or near free. More training for these people would be mandatory in my book.
  17.   Because that is a completely different scenario. In a self-defense situation I would guess that many happen with very few people around. In a school, there are going to literally be hundreds of people around. Those teachers need specific training and a lot of it... I have seen a few people with HCP's that shouldn't be allowed to own a paintball gun, an 8 hour course and shooting a stationary paper target doesn't help you one iota in a shooting situation.   I've been in a couple of them where there was a slim to no chance of fratricide and it was a mess every single time... It's hard to imagine what would be running through someone's mind that had a dozen children in the line of fire.
  18. Try FM George in Knoxville, they were who we brought in to get into safes after someone changed the code. Can't say for certainty about the specific key, but would expect that if they can crack a safe in just a few minutes, they can get or know who can get you a key to one.
  19.   That's why we need a good marketing firm to sell it! Any of us would say "trained teacher with a gun to protect our students?" sign me up! Somehow that needs to be manipulated in an easy to understand way that shows the non-gun people how they are getting some kind of free benefits out of it. Right now all they know is guns cause bad things to happen and no one is showing them why this isn't true.
  20.   That site linked to another one recently in TN:  http://www.wbbjtv.com/news/local/Homeowner-Shoots-at-Burglars-185179482.html   Hadn't even heard about it!
  21. Now that there's some more info out, good for her! And I'm glad there is a career criminal that was shot instead of us reading a story about how someone murdered a woman and her children because she had no way to defend herself.
  22. Oh and also seen a couple of real-life $2500 ar15's. One guys was bragging about how he had turned down $2000 cash twice today for one.   So they really do exist outside of gunbroker.
  23. it was sarcasm! lol
  24. Well, looked like there were a lot of legit sellers today with only a few gougers. Couple of random people selling overpriced ammo in the corners, (800 for $600 and so on). This was the best price I found there: Also ran into someone selling ar10 pmags for $60 and he was telling me how good of a deal they were  On to the useful stuff: Thanks again David for the supplies, awesome deal and the .45's should hold us over for a week or two
  25. Said she shot 6 times, so I was thinking a revolver possibly, but the .22 revolvers usually have 8 or 10 shots and anything bigger seems like it would've taken his head off unless he was so close that the blast got him and not the bullet itself.   This is a weird one
