  1. Terrible situation, but could you imagine what would run through your mind as the guy at the podium? I woulda probably had a stroke on-site.
  2. Sounds like it's the IRS pot tax stamp kinda thing. You have to have a tax stap on marijuana to sell it, but how many people are stopping by the IRS to (register or) buy those stamps? More like a "gotcha" clause than anything else.
  3.   Because there's not a market for them, if there was a possible chevy truck ban in the works and all the truck manufacturers were backordered by a year+, those farmers will pay a pretty penny to get what they want right now while there are still a few floating around. Chevy could say no price gouging and it would go about as far as the email they send out and that's it.   As I've said in multiple other threads about it, it's about personal impact and not principle... Cause hardly any of us here would care if iphone prices quadrupled overnight due to a shortage of screens.
  4.   Selling, and selling multiples
  5. Yeah sorry misread, most people that listen to Ramsey follow his statement "there is no such thing as responsible credit card use" (or something along those lines). It's a pretty darn good thing as long as it's used properly.
  6.   This I disagree with, we have a couple of credit cards and one specifically that we use to pay almost everything with. That CC is hooked up to Southwest and we get 3-4 free flights per year somewhere. If we just wrote checks and paid cash everywhere, we would get zero free flights. And trust me, if you go overseas, you better have a visa and mastercard (especially in the Philippines) because there may only be 1 ATM within a 2-3 hour travel distance and it may take one or the other, but not both.   He speaks about not having any cards no matter what, but pay it off monthly and you never get charged interest and also get a bunch of free stuff.
  7.   Sort of like what the occupy protests were about, all of those old greedy people and corporations making all of that money and not sharing?
  8. Nah that guy is just tucked, there's zero straps anywhere on the waist. I would hope that he just didn't have one chambered like that since there's no safety, but I'm sure he doesn't care enough since it was not in a holster in the first place
  9.   I think they should have 100 round magazines personally, but as the governor up there said, it doesn't take 10 shots to kill a deer, if so, you shouldn't be hunting.  With that being the case it shouldn't take 10 shots for a cop to stop a threat either then, and if so, they shouldn't be a cop.    We all agree that it may take 1 round or 15 rounds to stop a threat, and I don't think they should stop to reload just like the panicked mother with her babies hiding in the attic shouldn't have to.
  10. Big ones (25 or 30's) were $40 at the show yesterday. There was a good supply and as said in another thread it looked like stocks are starting to trickle back in so I'd just hold out a little while longer.
  11. heck I'll take them and shoot them over to the next person.
  12. Jack, there's plenty of cars that cost $3000 40 years ago that are now selling for $250,000. Haven't heard anyone around here losing their mind over those, and they are nearing a 10,000% markup
  13.   KY does, I sold a Supra about 7 or 8 years ago to a friend and he forgot to get it transferred. Since it had plates, but I dropped the insurance, the county clerk sent out a letter saying they were invalidating the registration unless I brought in proof of insurance. It was just a rolling chasis when sold, that's why we weren't worried too much about transferring it immediately.
  14. I think facebook has started restricting some pro gun groups from the searches, was trying to find another one yesterday and it woyldn't come up in the search either
  15. Shoney's or anywhere sounds good. Maybe if anyone or their family/friends owns something, we could take the business to them?
  16.     RRA stripped lowers were going for $750 at the show today, $650 is a bargain lol
  17. Ok here's the short version:   Bunch of people on the side got organized and we had a pretty good setup on the side of the room. Vendors started getting pissed so about 2pm management come around and said we had to buy tables or walk around. Couple of us bought a table and sold our stuff instantly, then a couple more etc... Hell, if I knew how fast things would sell, we would've chipped in and got a table at 9am lol. I sat down and within 15 minutes mine sold, another guy sat down and his sold, then a third was working on a deal as I left, things going similar to gunbroker.com markups.   Met a couple of cool people there, no commotion anywhere except for the crowd size.. And if you have anything to sell, I would go up there tomorrow, people are still paying a premium for most items and I would expect from seeing plenty of $25 ar15 mags, that the stocks are starting to come back in.   Ammo was the only expensive thing, 500 .22lr's for $50, 7.62x39 el cheapo stuff $768 per 1000 rounds. .223 was between $0.75-$1 each
  18. They're selling 7.62x39 tulammo for $775/1000 lol
  19. Yeah, got here early... Couple hundred waiting in line an hour before doors open. Took over 30 minutes to get through David's line, and you could see the barrels of .223 brass disappearing right in front of your eyes lol
  20. There's actually a law that prohibits him from knocking or calling between 9pm-8am I believe
  21.   Yeah looks like he's got his finger right on the trigger   And upon closer inspection, the person to the right and left of him are duckfacing
  22. That dog has a bad case of the crazy eyes!
  23. It's just the market right now, people are only pissed off cause it impacts them. Doesn't matter what he does with the ammo he buys, just like it shouldn't matter to him what you would do if you were buying all the paint brushes to resell at a paint expo coming to town.
  24. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/documents/2013/01/rand-paul-nullify-obama-gun-document.php?page=1   Make sure that's on every forum around, and that people start turning up the heat even more on every senator before it comes out.
  25. Exchanged a few emails with Ben last wek, he's an awesome person all around.
