That was really cool, I'd start watching them again if they were like that

I would say more like enamored, simply because he's the singular person that has went there and started right out of the gate without wavering any of his principles.

Not sure how many positive threads can be made about this guy, but he is on a roll. Been in office for 2 months and is hitting almost everything off perfectly. http://www.kvue.com/news/Back-in-Texas-Cruz-campaigns-for-gun-rights-amid-GOP-friendly-fire-191906721.html

DHS supplier sells targets of american gun owners
Sam1 replied to tnsyty's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Probably not, because shooting at a pregnant woman is more acceptable than OBL or uniformed services silhouettes -
Maybe we could do a Christmas in July thing or something? It was sort of fun and I normally don't like those types of things :)

This is a little bit more effective than saying you are menstruating. -
No way, he would be the guy supplying the booze to the crowd.

Firearms freedom act amendments (Notice via TFA)

You all may want to sign up for TFA, they have been sending out some good emails lately. -
There could be a million reasons, but it is almost solely based ont he fact that those computers are configured to operate in a controlled environment. If you install an untested program, not only does it have the possibility of interfering with other systems or applications, but it is also another vulnerability risk that must continuously be monitored. I would suggest that if it is not approved, that you don't use it because if there is a security incident involving your computer, the first thing they will do is look for someone to blame so the company does not have to accept liability. Even if the incident is unrelated, they can (and I've seen this done a lot over the years) place the financial and legal responsibilities on to you personally, especially if you've signed any usage agreements. As for Google Earth, if you look at the licensing included in the program, it states that you can not use the free version of google earth on business systems, you have to use the pro version which is a couple hundred $. We had this exact issue at work and had to remove it from every system and blacklist the application. So it's not about malware, or Google being evil; it's about taking on a liability and creating more vulnerabilities on what is supposed to be a controlled environment.

That's a great idea, am going to open them up and send them back blank.

Tennessee Firearms Association, Inc. - Legislative Action Committee Sen. Beavers' 2013 Firearms Freedom Act Amendments - SB0250 - would move to nullify federal laws and orders that violation the constitution. Senate Bill 250 (SB0250), is a significant update to the 2009 Firearms Freedom Act that Senator Beavers championed. It also incorporates the substance of the 2nd Amendment Preservation Acts that are being run in many other states. This legislation, introduced by State Senator Mae Beavers, is intended to stop unconstitutional federal gun restrictions within Tennessee because Congress was never given the authority to pass such laws in the first instance. SB0250 would nullify federal attempts to “ban, regulate, or restrict…ownership, transfer, possession, or manufacture of a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition†within the State of Tennessee. Some legislators lack the spine to support this legislation and stand firm on the 10th Amendment as well as the full substance of the Bill of Rights. You will hear these legislators submissively pander to the federal government usurpation of power by chanting "the Supremacy Clause" as they repeat the federal lie that the mere existence of a federal law supercedes any state law. What those legislators fail to state or accept is that the Supremacy Clause only applies to federal action that is clearly within the scope of the very limited enumerated powers that have been given by the states to the federal government in the first place. The Supremacy Clause (at least until Justice Roberts comments on it) cannot cure an otherwise unconstitutional law and make it constitutionally enforceable. The bill has been scheduled for a public hearing and potential vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, 02-19-13. (3pm CST) Your support and action is needed right now to help move this legislation forward. TAKE ACTION NOW CALL and EMAIL. Do both and do them repeatedly until you get to speak to these legislators and get written responses from them. 1. Please Contact the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Senator Kelsey: (615) 741-3036 or email: sen.brian.kelsey@capitol.tn.gov Politely thank him for scheduling the hearing and allowing the bill to be debated and voted upon. Encourage him to vote YES on SB0250 to move it to a full debate in the Tennessee Senate. Make sure you tell Senator Kelsey that Tennesseans do not need or want an attorney general's opinion as to whether or not the attorney general thinks that this type of law may or may not be constitutional. Kelsey has indicated that he wants to get such an opinion but that is clearly just a maneuver to attempt to stop this important legislation. 2. Please Contact the rest of the members of the Judiciary Committee Strongly, but respectfully, let each of them know that you want them to vote YES on SB0250. You want them to allow the full State Senate to be able to debate the merits of this bill. You want them to have the courage to stand up for the Constitution. Remind them that they swore an oath, and it’s their duty to stand help you preserve your right to keep and bear arms. Sen. Doug Overbey (615) 741-0981, sen.doug.overbey@capitol.tn.gov Sen. Stacey Campfield (615) 741-1766, sen.stacey.campfield@capitol.tn.gov Sen. Mike Bell (615) 741-1946, sen.mike.bell@capitol.tn.gov Sen. Lowe Finney (615) 741-1810, sen.lowe.finney@capitol.tn.gov Sen. Ophelia Ford (615) 741-1767, sen.ophelia.ford@capitol.tn.gov Sen. Todd Gardenhire (615) 741-6682, sen.todd.gardenhire@capitol.tn.gov Sen. Mark Green (615) 741-2374, sen.mark.green@capitol.tn.gov Sen. John Stevens 615) 741-4576, sen.john.stevens@capitol.tn.gov 3. Attend the public hearing. Tuesday, February 19, 2013. (3pm Central, Tentatively) Be prepared to attend the committee meeting to show your support for the bill if you are in the Nashville area, or even to take off work and travel to Nashville to be present. We need a strong showing at this committee meeting. http://www.legislature.state.tn.us/senate/committees/judiciary.html 4. Contact YOUR state senator and representative and request that they also contact these committee members and demand that they send this bill to the floor so that all legislators can have a vote and a voice on this important legislation. Use the following links to look up the phone numbers and email addresses for your personal legislators House Member - emails and telephone numbers Senate Member - emails and telephone numbers

These are just soft inquiries so they don't impact my score at all, but the frequency is insane. After looking through the report this morning, I think we understand now why there's a Capitol One CC application in the mail almost daily: 26 inquiries in 7 months. Am curious what the purpose is of checking multiple times a month over and does anyone know how to block them from doing this? I know there is recourse for illegitimate hard inquiries, but really haven't seen anything on these type of inquiries used for marketing

Fame, people want a little piece of it.. It had nothing to do with him being their hero Heroes are people like the small town cop from BFE TN that barely makes enough money to feed his family and still goes to work on the weekends for free just to make sure that people have someone to call during an emergency. Or the multitudes of EMS workers that have to hold down 2-3 jobs because they only get paid $10/hour. People just get stupid over famous people, not sure if it's because they want to relate to someone outside of their bubble or what... But as you said, it is completely silly

My heart is bleeding: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4346104,00.html For 18 years, he has been locked in a 7' x 11' cage 24 hours a day and he thinks that he deserves to be out in general population. Not that I could muster up any concern for the thug murderer, but that's gotta be rough I think we should cut a window in his cell, but angle it so that the only thing he can see from it is a big ass American flag flapping in the wind

I think his workplace would frown upon tannerite suppositories

It's not some big conspiracy; CO is banning the primary product that magpul produces. If MA, CT and NY ban the primary products those companies produce for the nation and they decide that they still want to submit to the idiocy and keep pumping money into those markets, then no I will not do business with them and anyone that continues to do so might as well be cutting a check to the politicians that are making these idiotic decisions. I'll gracefully bow out of this one because it's getting to the point of splitting hairs for the purpose of winning a debate. Makes both of us look silly
