Troubling news for the Trayvon Martin camp

Don't be a quitter! You're 50% the reason the entire thread exists -
I carry a Glock because it in itself makes the caliber irrelevant and effectively stops better than the same size from another manufacturer

Troubling news for the Trayvon Martin camp

You were in the military correct? Remember how almost every hand to hand maneuver involved wrestling when trying to regain control of the situation when no weapons were involved? That alone validates Z's story enough for me to believe he was engaged in the defensive side of a fight. If Z would've had knuckle bruises and TM had facial damage, then I may side with your opinion a little more. -

Knots on the back of his head, broken nose, red marks and scratches on his face/side of his head... Oh and the cuts and abrasions that were bleeding out. If someone gets attacked unless you're a badass cage fighter, you're going to go into defensive mode, not offensive so Z is not going to have busted up knuckles and a strained wrist from punching back -

Thanks to Dave for keeping everyone engaged in this thread, it continues to be an entertaining read! -

How dare you contradict the internet! Next thing you know I'm going to find out that there was not really a lizard man as a secret service officer

Good point, we bought a compressor system for paintball tanks and it was almost $4000 for the entire setup and two storage cylinders. No way I could afford something like that on top of the gun

I remembered the L&C one, but figured the technology had disappeared over the years

In the recent search for pellet rifles, I discovered they make .357 pellet guns that do nearly 1000fps with a 72 grain pellet (equates out to about 150 ft/lbs). http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Sam_Yang_Recluse_Dual_Tank_Air_Rifle/2510 That is some insane power for a pellet gun! I was just expecting the little multi-pump .177 and .22's that we had growing up as kids 20+ years ago and thought they were the stuff. Then, I seen that the .177's are pushing 1500fps now too, I mean holy hell batman those are legit squirrel hunting rifles. But even better, I found a break barrel at wallyworld today on sale for $90 that came with a .177 and .22 barrel (1000fps/177 - 800fps/22). There is just a lot of crap available these days that I didn't even know existed.

Wife accepts gift of Sig P238 after a long search for pistol!
Sam1 replied to QuietDan's topic in General Chat
must be something about wives and the P238, got mine one for christmas. Thing works beautifully, the only modification made to it was to polish the feed ramp down to a mirror as it did occasionally catch the edge of some rounds with large cavities in them. Thing runs like melted butter now though. -
Congrats on the closing and as some of the others have said, to save some coin check out all the local repair shops, they usually have plenty to choose from that were trade-ins or abandoned.
-
Good info, thanks. They carry lots of other critters on them, can do $100,000 worth of damage to stucko and open your house up to invite other things to move in too. Or you can pay someone $1000 to come and remove them.

Oh I'm not going to kill any of them, this thread is about a fiction novel I was considering to write, with a plot about what someone's options were to address troublesome birds ruining the siding on their house :)
-
Yeah, this new guy spoke about capabilities and processes. That Manning guy did a complete dump of specific data, there is a HUGE difference between the two.
-
Yeah they have definitely already cracked up the siding, I can get to the section by going out on to the roof through a window. Right now it won't be an issue to put some clear silicone on it, but we're not sure if they are somewhere else that I can't get to yet. Think I'm just gonna make a trip to wally world tomorrow and get a .177 assault rifle.

Guess the Chilean president can sit where he wants to

So we have been hearing this weird tapping noise recently and didn't think too much of it until today they started going full speed and I realized it was a woodpecker. Little bastard(s) are pinging up the siding by a window and I have no clue on what to do humanely to ward them off without getting rid of all the birds in the area. Does anyone know how to shoo these things off without the use of a pellet gun or poison? They're beautiful red-heads so I'd rather not put them down, but I am also not going to let them damage our house. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Lol don't complain too much, Davidson county would cost you all around $1740/year for that same $150,000 house

Just don't call hiller, that happy face is only because they know they're going to make an arm and a leg off you
