  1. got a compact 1911 and it needs the trigger lightened about 1.5#, smoothed out and worked over.  Anyone know who to go to in the area?  I also wouldn't mind to ship this somewhere else to a better shop as it's my daily and want it done right.   Have only used a smith a few times in the Knoxville area and that was just for general stuff, this one needs to be someone with a lot of 1911 experience.
  2.   I almost always buy her one too, she has no idea how much they cost so if she gets something she wants, I can sneak one in without question.. Have so many now when we go to the range and she asks about something, I just say it's been in the safe for a long time and she hasn't played with it yet.   There is some consideration given though, about once or twice a year I just want something new and she will usually say that one has to go for one to come in which is no big deal.
  3. That stuff pisses me off to no end, a case of lazy ass is not a disability.
  4. Still is that way
  5. I missed the part about him having a gun, my previous statements are officially redacted from the records. Hard to read some of this stuff on a phone, I thought the cops went in and shot him unarmed in his own house.

Think Chapell is a bit too serious of a character to be playing comedic roles of that magnitude
  8. That is awesome!
  9. Hell, maybe if they complain enough they can get an express lane at security in the airport, at which time I will claim to be muslim

  11. The only thing previewing a file does is reserve limited integrity. Viewing child porn on a system whether through opening a file or previewing it still gets investigated because someone can take a screen grab of the preview and save that. Do be warned though, any "preview" functionality has the capability to store the files in cache. But this is all semantics, stored on the drive or viewed online, it will not be relevant in a child porn case because every alphabet agency in the country foams at the mouth to take out everyone and everything even remotely connected to it... And rightfully so
  12. Would be terrible if he got a life sentence and was only allowed to eat hot dogs deep fried in bacon grease until the end of time
  13. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/07/26/this-is-what-happens-when-a-criminal-tries-to-rob-a-gun-store-with-a-bat/   I guess he didn't really think this one through all the way
  14. whew that 100 megaton one would cause fallout across a good portion of the country!
  15.   Well, it's just not fair that you have that nice house [from working 18 hour days, 7 days a week or being responsible with your income] and Bob & Mary Sue that have been on public assistance their entire lives [2nd generation recipients] cannot live next door to you.  See, by putting people in houses they are not responsible enough to take care of or can afford, they will obviously get a head start on things.
  16.     Good to know sir, I did have a question that no one seems to be able answer (just out of curiosity), do you know if the epa allows the manufacturers to test with pure gas or do they require them to use e10?
  17. Just a reminder to always keep one close by
  18.   None of what you posted there is relevant to how a 15 pound increase in weight lowers the mpg estimates.  The manufacturers could negate 4 times that amount by using a midget as a driver during the tests.   It is about manufacturer's cutting costs just like they do with everything other product on the market... Having a car that weighs 3300 pounds is going to see zero difference in any computerized testing over an identical one that weighs 3315 pounds.  you're talking about around 0.20% of a weight difference; having a more aerodynamic set of windshield wipers would make multiples of a difference over that at cruising speed lol.
  19.   There are always other options, but the job of a cop is to stop the threat as fast as possible.  As said before, I'll be the first to point fingers at the cops for doing dumb stuff, but I just don't see why there's outrage over this, except from the fact that every news agency is showing the same selectively edited video and drumming up an emotional response.
  20.   Silly man, the electric comes from telephone poles and transformers not from coal.  It's the cleanest form of energy around
  21. That's the manufacturer blaming the .gov for being cheap, it has nothing to do with meeting epa mileage requirements. And in all honesty, I would say 75% of people will never notice.  15 pounds lighter is going to make such a minuscule difference in mileage for any vehicle old or new that it would near impossible if not completely impossible to even measure.   It's like the difference between driving with 4 gallons of fuel in the tank or 6 gallons.
  22.   And without question I bet you are 100% correct from a medical standpoint and your experience demands respect.  But, these guys are not medical professionals, they are supposed ot be law enforcement professionals which require approaching situations from different thought processes and directions, with a different intent.   Their duties and responsibilities are completely different than yours if you showed up on scene.
  23.   So cops should now just politely monitor people acting irrationally until a medic comes around and not take into consideration anyone's safety?  The woman had already displayed multiple reasons for being considered dangerous.   maybe instead of securing her on the ground they could've just held her at gun point and not moved her... but then we would be talking about how those evil cops pointed a loaded gun at her instead.  bunch of silliness in this argument, I bet once the full video is released this story will die out just like the rest of them do.
