I learned my lesson a few years ago with those primarily internet based companies.  Progressive, geico etc are all the same.   If you like nationwide, why not call them and ask if they can do any better?  A lot of times people can actually get better rates from their current insurance because of personal credit changes, age or whatever.  Learned that from Dave Ramsey - cause the insurance companies are not going to volunteer info that makes them less money.   Would personally rather pay more for a company that when I have a problem, I can drive down to their office and handle the issue face to face...  They seem to be more willing to take care of you if you're a person and not number ABC123 that comes up on their screen in the Hoboken, BFE.

My thoughts on the 203's, armored vehicles or whatever else kind of military gear the police are getting:   We as people in general tend to stick with the things we know.  A large number of LEO's are prior military, they know gear XYZ works, so they stick with it.  There's no big conspiracy to militarize the police forces.   As far as getting 50 bmg sniper rifles or grenade launchers, there are always people who love to tinker with things (as every one of us on here do), and some things like that Barrett rifle are out of the reach of most of us, so why not try and justify it at work to get to play with it?  Happens all the time at my work place except with things not associated to firearms, I'm sure the police departments are no different - some LEO's are happy with a side arm and handcuffs and the next one wants an AR15, shotgun, taser, supercharged sports car with ballistics glass and satcom systems.   It's that simple.

Figured I'd bite and see what happened, here's the email exchange:     Obviously a scam, think since he's on the hook, I'm gonna go ahead and email some FFL contact info, so he spends his last $10 on gas driving back and forth to the post office waiting on a money order.

Highly unlikely, I would do two thing, track the contracts back and see who is a stakeholder in the deals, and that they underestimated the will of the soldiers to stay alive by completely avoiding situations that would've got them killed.

Really appreciate the offer, but I'd rather buy one cause my neighbors are gonna want to borrow it as well.

Should report it, I bet the cops would love to investigate someone impersonating one of their charities. Also please don't call that number and harass them! The scammer could've easily spoofed the phone number and now you're calling a completely innocent person.

  Voles are pretty much a mix between field mice and moles, but they look like mice.  I also tried that same repellant to no avail.  They're just pesky little things, and honestly I wouldn't care about them if there tunnels were deep and they didn't create big mounds of dirt and tunnels everywhere that made the yard uneven.

  Moles aren't the problem, Voles are.  And the only way to rid them of their food source would be to blacktop our entire lawn lol.
