  1. Fill it full of silver coins, buy a pirate costume and sit on the diving board all day with a sword guarding it.
  2. It says concrete/decks on the buckets, but iirc there was a more expensive one specifically for concrete only. No idea what the difference is
  3. This is great    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Li0no7O9zmE
  4. Yes I understand how it all works, I've been working in the field for a few days.  To squish the entire argument, it is fairly easy to perform virtualization hacks and take control of the host system through a guest application.  NIST even goes so far as to say that any system containing protected data (classified/sensitive) that uses VM software still falls under the same regulatory controls as if the guest and host are restricted the same.  VM's weren't designed for security, they were designed to utilize hardware resources more efficiently.   That's not where I was going with the discussion though, I was simply saying that someone can spend 6 hours a day trying to avoid an issue that will more than likely never exist.
  5.   Maybe the story exists because a disproportionate number of minorities are committing crimes.
  6.   Again that's a really long way to say that you have malware on the system, which can be avoided with extremely simple steps but it is getting off track of my prior statement concerning ssl communications.   If you're are talking about having a trojan on the system before using the https sites, multiple systems have to fail miserably before that could even begin to be a concern.
  7. I think it is very easy to mistake incompetence for plotting.
  8.   There are very few things that can intercept and decrypt SSL traffic, so if you're careful where you put your information in, you could skip 95% of what you're doing.
  9. Yeah, I called them with the same question and they sent me here:  http://rustoleumrestore.com/faq/     Most of ours was still stained, but nothing beaded water.
  10. Didn't do anything vertical with it, the rails are just re-stained. Would say that you probably want to brush it on vertically though to keep it thinner because I'm sure it would run as thick as it is.   To add in, it would look pretty slick to have the entire deck done in it, just that there's so much detail in ours that the rails were easier to stain again instead of doing that.  Heck, I'd say there are about two hundred posts on a 4" spread.
  11. Prep work: sprayed it with a water hose and scrubbed with with a push broom the day before and let it dry off, then the next day I used a leaf blower to get the dust off right before starting.  Probably an hour at most spent on this, the stuff is so thick I don't think you have to worry about doing much at all.   As for the feeling on barefeet, hard to explain but it sort of feels like walking on compacted sand you would see on a beach.  It's just as comfortable as walking on bare wood   And as peejman said, you have to leave the underside alone, that's how the water evaporates.
  12.   I'm pretty sure they will be, since there was only a few select stores that allowed it to happen, other ones in the state followed protocol.
  13. Went through about 10 gallons of it for the stairs, deck surface and bench.  As for the actual sq/ft, I have no idea since there were other parts it was used on.  It could survive with one coat, but since we just moved in I wanted to do it well and not touch it again for 10 years or whatever.   The only tip I can really give is to use the normal roller on coat #1, I started on a small platform and used the textured roller for coat 1 & 2 and it end up using a lot more than when using the normal roller then textured roller.  Oh and some boards that were really uneven, it was faster to use a 4" roller instead of the 9" to get it leveled out.   As for the cost of everything, I think at Home Depot the coating was $79 per 4 gal bucket.  Lowe's has 3 gal buckets for $69 iirc, so you will want to get it from HD instead.
  14. Norton ... There's your first problem   You want the best for a fee?  F-Secure is rocking the VB100 tests at the moment, it used to be ESET/NOD32, but F-Secure has really stepped up their game in the proactive detection area.   Free stuff I don't really depend on, Microsoft has some good programs but they are usually best when used in conjunction with other software or in a controlled environment.
  15. Not sure about the other brands but this stuff works awesome. Deck was in serious need of some work, a ton of 1/8" splits and some up to 1/4" with holes where the knots broke out etc... Ran one coat of this stuff with a normal roller and it filled in every gap without effort, then ran back over it with a textured roller for the second coat. If you've got a wood surface that's all jacked up, this stuff is worth looking into. Ours looks great now and it was a complete mess just a few days ago.
  16.   No way he thought so, just prepping up the excuses so it's not his fault.
  17.   Looks like WalMart will be footing the bill because there are emergency procedures in place that only allow them to sell $50 per card when the system is down and the store decided to ignore them.  The state released a statement concerning the matter a little while ago.
  18. Did he get what was coming? Yes sir, he effectively caught two bullets.
  19. Yep sure was.  Uniformed cop sitting right there at the intersection during the robbery, if you watch the second video (8 minutes) it shows there's an undercover that shows up out of nowhere and a police van drives by all within seconds.  The thug was destined to get himself dead that day.
  20. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=877_1381654222   Just the way I like to see some armed robberies turn out, and caught on video - thank you gopro
  21.   Your situation is completely different than the "leeches".  Simply put, the programs were put into place to help people in your kinda situation.  Unfortunately your case is abnormal, and these are the normal cases:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luo40WjBKWI
  22. Got a good LOL on this yesterday and the interviews of the people at the stores.   Everyone one of them were like "What do they expect people to do?!?! This is not right!!!"   How about you take your lazy ass to work or back to school like the rest of the country does when we want food.

  24. They're definitely not FS LEO uniforms, I used to work with those guys.
  25. From the videos I've seen, most of the LEO's involved this seem to be pretty disgusted themselves, they just can't show or say it.  That has to be frustrating as hell to them.
