  1.     My guess is that christmas lights would turn that into the world's biggest weedeater.
  2. The best tree and possibly the most expensive, I've ever seen
  3. He should be strung up behind the jail if alcohol was involved, I got no sympathy for drunks doing stupid things like that.
  4. Exactly Lumber_Jack, even with the lean, the tree can splinter and/or kick back; actually especially trees with a lot of lean do this.  If that thing kicks back you have no clue on which way it's gonna roll.   I'll use wedges on everything within reach of something important without regard to the variables.
  5.   Lots of things wrong with that guy's ND...  If you need to pull the trigger to disassemble it, there's no reason it should be pointed up.  My guess is that he was just playing around and now someone is dead because of their stupidity.
  6. some of these are detailed at crazy levels, few of them actually look good too.  The one with the horse @ 5:07 is probably my favorite   http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=375_1387075096
  7. Fairview is ultra cheap and not too far from Thompson station.  Franklin and Brentwood are super expensive.  We moved from Brentwood to Fairview earlier this year and love it, in addition to saving a ton of money.
  8. Wow this thread is apparently a malignant kick in the balls lol
  9. Oh good catch, advertisement makes it sound like everything goes up there right now.
  10. No way Bersa, this one will have to do with income inequality since that is the latest "mission"
  11.   Wasn't there something about donuts too?

    My computer

They all still use the mini display port for video out; they do this for "future-proofing".  One standard connection can convert to vga, dvi or hdmi instead of having one technology that is replaced just a few years down the road.
  13. Sucks, at least the shooter saved tax payers millions of dollars by removing himself from the equation.   So far lots of confusion but a school officer put the active shooter plan in place and the attacker ended up committing suicide.   This story will disappear from the news very soon if it is the case; can't be letting anyone know that good guys with guns are really effective at stopping bad guys with guns.
  14. double post delete me
  15. Seen New York is now running TV ads saying that for businesses moving into the state they can now operate tax free for 10 years.  It does look like they are actually getting hit in the gut pretty hard by the lack of revenues coming in on sales and corporate taxes; I read this report just out of curiosity from the Rockefeller Institute and they said corporate taxes not only dropped last quarter, but they dropped by 9.5%! (http://www.rockinst.org/pdf/government_finance/state_revenue_report/2013-12-10-SRR_93.pdf)   Funny how that works out, the personal income tax revenues jumped up 18.4% in the same quarter, and the ones making all of the money are moving their businesses right out of the state.  I'm really curious on if there is an "ah-ha" moment or if the places like this (California, NY, Illinois) are going to end up like Detroit not too far off in the future.   just a random observation

    My computer

Although I don't personally care for the interface on Windows 8, it does run a lot faster on older hardware than windows 7 does.  I would say to put 8 on over 7 any day of the week.

    My computer

You may be able to build one faster for less, but that mac will actually be worth something if you decide to sell it later.  Our iMac was $1100 in 2009; going on 5 years later they are still selling for ~$500 on eBay. A windows based pc would drop 50% of the value in less than a year... easily.   Personally I just like knowing that every time I get on the computer it's going to work and there's no worry about it locking up.
  19. If people think his numbers are bad now, wait until the deductible bills for Obamacare start coming in around February.
  20. By definition our founding fathers were terrorists too. Why do we celebrate them?
  21. Haven't heard anything from my recipient yet, should've been there by now... hope it arrived!
  22. Got mine in today, thank you!   255gr Buffalo Bore +p 45's   Always wanted to try some of this weight, but was too cheap to get 'em.  Darn things are heavy enough I really think you could knock someone down just by throwing it at them
  23. in another language but this is great, electronics store & they have a ditzy new employee and tell her she has to pump the plasma into a new flat screen before it will work.  They have her pumping pedals, blowing in hoses and all kinds of stuff lol!   http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=22c_1386499859
